Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

Well looking at http://www.bvb-forum.de/

The fans seem to think that Klopp is/has run out of time.

Yeah same thing in the Transfermarkt-Dortmund forum. Like I said I have a feeling that the next game against Freiburg will be crucial for him if they lose again I can't see them holding on to Klopp any longer. Tuchel is still a free agent if I haven't missed anything?

No chance Reus and Hummels stay without CL football.

Reus won't. I just think Hummels seems like the type of character that will take personal responsibility about leading his team to relegation and stick it for a year. I might be utterly wrong on that, but he seems to love the club.

Nope. Tuchel is still under contract for the rest of the season, but on unpaid leave. Anyone that wants his services needs to give Heidel a nice big check. :D

No offence but I think this is pretty naive.

Too me atm the only team that looks weaker are Paderborn. So yeah they are one of the top relegation candidates for me atm.

Berlin look a right mess as well. Stuttgart is not moving forward either. Freiburg got a decent result last week but I can easily see them in the bottom 3. Hamburg (:() are inconsistent as * and can't seem to score even though the result today might suggest otherwise. If Dortmund can't manage to finish ahead of these sides...

I mean Reus won't stay. He's defo off. But Hummels i'm not sure, if the club want him gone then he'll be gone. But if it's down to the player, I could perhaps see part of him wanting to stay and right the wrongs of this Season before leaving. Assuming they get relegated of course. Perhaps it is naive. Perhaps not. Time will tell :)

Well the fact that they are already below all those sides should tell anyone in how bad of a state they really are.

It seems while we are too cautious at times, Dortmund are the exact opposite. They are always trying to force things their way and they could do with a more patient approach.

Freiburg are good enough to stay up, they are well managed and used to the relegation dogfight. Hamburg, Stuttgart and Bremen manage to get their head out of the noose every season and I don't see this year being different. Paderborn will be dead last, I don't see them getting many more points. Hertha is the interesting one, I think a lot will depend on whom they bring in to replace Luhukay.

You'll need a lot of points to stay up this season, 35-ish I'd guess. It won't be easy for Dortmund to achieve that if they continue playing like this.

Well there problem atm is that the offense isn't working well together. They get a couple of chances still but they waste even the biggest chances. At the back one good chance for the opponent usually is enough for them to score.

You it's like the opposite of those teams that win a game despite playing really bad. Those teams are usually called clever. Dortmund puts in a lot of effort, often even dominates a game without ever being too convincing but end up conceding from the only decent chance their opponents have, which on top of that usually results form a big defensive mistake, while not converting any themselves. In essence they play stupid football.

#FreeShinji

When I saw him dive for a penalty, I cried for 20 minutes. Here is Shinji, one of the best attacking players in midfield, forced to dive against some no mark team in the Bundesliga

Even if you take everything into account, Klopp's management style, loss of players, injuries their demise is still shocking.

It can explain a drop into midtable mediocrity but to be bottom after half the season is ridiculous.

Don't know about that. Buffon and del Piero went to Serie B with Juve, and Hummels seems the type who might do that as well.

The situation of Juve was different. There was always Fiat backing the club.

Hummels would loose a lot of money and contracts and his spot in the German team for the Euros if he did.

:nono: Augsburg deserve to be 4th. They've been playing very good football this Season. They're ahead of the likes of Leverkusen, Schalke and Hoffenheim in the table and rightfully so. Joint 2nd highest win rate in the Bundesliga (11 games).

You don't know how far their player's loyalty goes though. A lot of superstars stayed at Juventus when they got relegated back in the days.

He was claiming that even after they were sitting in the relegation zone. "He did join a better club, they were better when he joined them than us, so I was right", or something along those lines. He was just the worst, although it'd be funny to see his stance now. I imagine it would be around twelve paragraphs long and telling us Shinji is great still.

Can we un-ban him. It'd be hilarious to see what his views are right now.

Rival fans swore Shinji was as good as Messi and Ronaldo and criticised us for selling him and not giving him the chance to showcase his talent especially after his first game back for Dortmund, now no one mentions Kagawa anymore.

Hummels is a german NT player and certainly doesn't want to play in the 2nd league in his best years as footballer and in the season before the EC. He might be loyal enough to stay at Dortmund without CL football but playing in the 2nd league? No way.

I'm finding Dortmund's demise rather funny/interesting. I have nothing against them, a few seasons ago, I quite liked them actually, but I'd like to see them get relegated.

They'll go down.

I kept shrugging off their bad form, but now I genuinely think they'll be relegated. It's mental.

I believe you're confusing rival fans with your own over the last few seasons.

Why, out of interest?
