Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

FFS they keep gifting all the bottom half teams easy points

I think Klopp and Dortmund may very well have a mutually agreed separation soon. This is catastrophic stuff for them. 8 losses already after this one, holy feck.

Just won't happen. If Klopp goes it will be because he choses to go.
I remember some time ago he said in an interview if the club and him decided it was time to try something new they would split. I see it happening that way.

Klopp has four games until the winter break

Hoffenheim (H)
Hertha (A)
Wolfsburg (H)
Werder (A)

How does everyone think he will do ? His home games are going to be very tough. He needs at least 3/4 victories but I can only see a win vs Werder possibly at current form.

and then he starts the second half with

Bayer (A)
Augsburg (H)
Freiburg (A)
Mainz (H)

Apart from Bayer all relatively winnable.

Hoffenheim (H) Must win but Hoffenheim aren't bad
Hertha (A) Again should win but Hertha are strong at home
Wolfsburg (H) Very difficult, could easily see Wolfsburg winning this
Werder (A) Must win

6-9 points

Bayer (A) Very tough, already lost against Bayer this season at home
Augsburg (H) Must win
Freiburg (A) Must win
Mainz (H) Must win

9-10 points

We talk about a team that has only won 3 matches all season - two of it in the first three matches. The last win was by an own goal. The last 10 matches have brought 7 losses, 2 draws and one win...

But yes, they will make 9 wins in the next 3 matches...

It's always easy on paper........i would be shocked if they're getting more than 5 points before the winter break

And come one 9-10 points after the winter break ........that's possible for a top top team with confidence.......they're a relegation team ffs

That would be quite a feat indeed.

9 wins in the next 3 games is a bit optimistic I agree. To get at least 6 points of the remaining 4 features including Hertha and Bremen is just being realistic though.

what the fcking hell on mother earth is going on. seriously. what the fck. fck this shit. fck everything.

Why is every league playing football today, either league or cup games, but the Bundesliga isn't? That's boring. I still think it's a bit shit that the 3rd cup round was moved to next year instead of this year. That's the missing game :(.

You must be loathing the January breaks.

It the first week since September for the players that play in the European Competions or for their countries. The Bayern players even have tomorrow off - and they already had on Sunday. What a luxury... :)

I hope I find a stream for Stoke vs United as Sky Germany is only broadcasting one EPL match and that is Liverpool's.

Not really, I usually have something to do during that time and I'm used to it, it's always been that way after all. Now I'm sitting at home, bored and annoyed because usually we'd play as well midweek.

Don't you have copies of old matches? I love to watch the matches against Barcelona or Juve, the Cup finals, the CL final 2013 - or the World Cup matches again and again...

Or this one...

Matchday 14, 05/12/14 - 07/12/14: Dortmund win a game
BVB: Langerak - Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer - Kehl - Aubameyang, Bender, Gündogan, Mkhitaryan - Ramos
On the bench: Weidenfeller, Kagawa, Immobile, Sahin, Großkreutz, Ginter, Durm

@Sphaero Is Weidenfeller not fully fit or does it really mean something that Langerak is playing? Kagawa again on the bench is interesting as well, but it probably makes a lot of sense to try a more defensive approach and get stability at the back first, especially against Hoffenheim.

ter Stegen isn't exactly lighting up Barcelona is he? Could be worth a cheeky bid.

He's starting all CL and cup games, as far as I know. I'm not surprised that he needs a while to get used to the new environment, but ter Stegen is far too talented to fail at Barca. Can't see him wanting to leave or Barca wanting to sell.

Why are Dortmund still hot favourites to win their games? Thinking about sticking a few quid on Hoffenheim.

There was nothing about lack of fitness on Weidenfeller´s part, so this is most likely because of performance reasons. Quite a big sign by Klopp I would say.

Kagawa still needs to work on his stamina and was pretty shocking the last games. Makes more sense to use him as an impact sub right now.

As low as 4/9 before the game, crazy price. They were something similar in the last game as well, away from home to Frankfurt. Mental.

The ref doing a "fantastic" job at taking the necessary heat out of the match. The scene with Bender was now the third clean tackle by us which was ruled as a foul by him for god knows what reason.

Dortmund getting a very raw deal from the ref at the moment. They seem to be being punished for fairly winning 50-50 balls. Three or four instances of that in the last ten minutes.

Jay-zus, BVB dropping points is one thing but I've counted like 6-7 hoofs from defence that end up nowhere.

Ref's pretty shit too.

Most of them were actually not that far off and primarily came from Hummels. It is normal for him that the precision of his long balls is the ability which takes the longest time to return to normal after an injury. We operated with these crosses since 2011/2012 but they usually are more successful. He is doing an amazing job defensively, though, and is a huge help for Subotic and the back line in general. He solved around half a dozen potentially dangerous situations by great interceptions and tacklings.
