Fulham Football Club (also known as The Cottagers or The Whites), is a professional association football club based in Fulham, West London, England. Fulham were formed in 1879 as Fulham St Andrew's Church Sunday School F.C., founded by worshipers (mostly adept at cricket) at the Church of England on Star Road, West Kensington (St Andrew's, Fulham Fields). Fulham's mother church still stands today with a plaque commemorating the team's foundation. They won the West London Amateur Cup in 1887 and, having shortened the name from Fulham Excelsior to its present form in 1888, they then won the West London League in 1893 at the first attempt.

Fulham started playing at their current ground at Craven Cottage in 1896, their first game against now defunct rivals Minerva. Fulham are one of the oldest established clubs in southern England currently playing professional football, though there are many non-league sides like Kent side Cray Wanderers who are several decades older. The club gained professional status on 12 December 1898, the same year that they were admitted into the Southern League's Second Division. They were the second club from London to turn professional, following Arsenal, then named Royal Arsenal 1891.

After suffering relegation to The Championship in 2013, Fulham have been on a road to recovery and were promoted to the Premier League on 26 May 2018, by winning 1–0 in the 2018 EFL Championship play-off Final against Aston Villa. Fulham fans consider their main rivals to be Chelsea, followed by Queens Park Rangers. They also have rivalries with other London clubs, including Brentford and Crystal Palace.

We're due an unexpected victory away from home.

I think we're at the Bruno as a striker stage.

Only 3 days to next game, so barely no time to work on the training pitch.
So no improvement at all to be expected i assume.
We are going to need some luck to get anything from this game.
We might be due some stupid reffing decisions going our way, i hope.

Away from the nervy anxious Old Trafford might somewhat help?

Fulham home record is the 10th best in the league this season

Oh christ, this will be bad!!

    I will take a 0-0 draw now

    Onana
    Mazraoui Maguire Martinez
    Amad Ugarte Mainoo Dalot
    Bruno Garnacho
    Zirkzee

De Ligt not sure if he'll be fine but could see him start ahead of Maguire, but either way maybe not worth the risk for this game.

I don't want to see Ugarte play for more than an hour here.

The priority should be the final round of EL games, and I definitely want to see Ugarte start v Bucharest on Thurdsay. It's a huge game that we, at the very least, need to avoid defeat in. And the experience and battling quality of Ugarte will be crucial in an intimidating atmosphere.

I said a few weeks ago that Collyer should get the role next to Ugarte and move Mainoo further forward. Something like this:

    GK
    Maz Maguire Martinez
    Amad Ugarte Collyer Dalot
    Bruno Mainoo
    Zirkzee
Mainoo is great in the tight spaces and when he tires you can bring in Eriksen who still has the ability to influence a game in the no.10 role.

We will scrape a tie and people will think everything is shit but at least tolerable, this until the end of season and we will finish 16th or smth because we are unable to win any games against "weaker" sides.

The Rangers game exposed that we still struggle mightily to score goals (not that it's surprising). This will only get worse against PL opposition.

Don't expect anything here. While I don't think it's inconceivable that we win 1-0 or something, we are just much more likely to concede than score.

The trouble with the group at the moment is that no selection solves all the issues - each solves some but then leave us short somewhere else.

In this case, I like the solid, stable look of that team. But it leaves us short with pace up front, and any individual threat of dribbling with the ball (even more so when Eriksen moves into it as you say).

I think Amorim likes one of his 10's to possess the abilities more of a direct winger - the likes of Amad and Garnacho in our case. And you can see why, as without any it looks low on pace and individual threat. In an away match, where we could counter attack more effectively, that kind of line up moves all our quickest attacking players onto the bench (or WB in Amad's case).

Feels like a nailed on loss. They're a good team. Which is usually a pretty big stumbling block for us.

Fulham are better than us, expecting another loss.

It sounds ridiculous but it’s true, maybe being away from home will help us but it’s hard to be confident of us beating anyone at the moment. I’m going to be optimistic and say 1-1.

Would take a draw. Been impressed with Fulham each time I have watched them play over the last few seasons.

Expecting a 2-1 defeat but as mentioned a draw would be very welcome.

Why has the caf got this as a home game? Mind you, just as much chance of fecking home at home as away these days... (see banner at the top of page)

Little chance of getting anything here. Fulham are just that much better than we are right now.

I like that. Probably best 11 we can go with atm. Maybe even Eriksen instead of Mainoo, though Eriksen will probably get minutes vs FCSB.

    Altay
    Maz De Ligt Martinez
    Amad Ugarte Collyer Garnacho
    Bruno Mainoo
    Zirkzee

I remember the days when this was just a formality.
Now I will take a draw.

Fulham's best chance to beat us at Craven Cottage in a long time. We've won in our last 7 games there. Last draw was 2-2 in 10/11 season, and our last defeat in December 2009.

    Bayindir
    Yoro, De Ligt, Martinez
    Mazraoui, Ugarte, Collyer, Dalot
    Amad, Zirkzee, Bruno

3 at the back is being overly scrutinised, but for me more of an issue is the midfield 2 are offering very little.

With 3 cb’s behind them you’d like to see more creativity from Ugarte/Mainoo. I know it’s not their main attribute, but whoever plays in those 2 positions can’t just offer zero goals or assists all season.

Massive task to get anything out of this. I think maybe we fluke a point somehow.

Also, it's past time to give Rashford an appearance.

Was that the one where we didn't have a single fit centre back in the whole squad?

Not a fan of Maz at wing back, we just never look like scoring. Would rather have Amad there and Garnacho added.

    Bayandir
De Ligt - Maguire - Martinez
    Amad - Bruno - Ugarte - Dalot
    Mainoo - Garnacho
    Hojlund
Bruno in midfield adds a whole different dimension to our play. We desperately need some attacking firepower, our options are terrible and it gets a lot worse if Garnacho leaves.
