schalalalalala schalke. You really have to put in effort to play that dull/bad with those players. They are in danger of missing European football.
they could sack him after 7 weeks and replace him with Keller as emergency solution . Sounds like a good plan.Surely they have to fire Di Matteo now? Most likely they keep him over the summer and fire him after a shit start to the new season though
I think they'll get at least the 7th place and not because they're good enough.....but i think Bremen will lose one of their last two matches (against Mönchengladbach and Dortmund) and i can't see two wins for Hoffenheim.schalalalalala schalke. But to sack Di Matteo after just 8 months must be the end for Heldt then too.Surely they have to fire Di Matteo now? Most likely they keep him over the summer and fire him after a shit start to the new season though
I still can see a group with Barca, Roma and Wolfsburg for Manchester CityThanks to Schalke and Dortmund having poor seasons City are supposed to be guaranteed to be in the second pot for the CL group stages next season.

Don't they have contracts for next year? I think Boateng has one more year left and Sam just joined them last summer, so he probably has 3 or 4 years left on his contract. Bunch of idiots.
Only 1 win in 8 league games, missed CL qualification, in danger to miss out on EL, they might even finish behind Dortmund. The players don't seem to care and the manager and director of football try to make a statement by kicking two of the laziest and most arrogant players out. What the hell happened at Schalke??
Surely they still have to pay their wages unless the players sign somewhere else? It's not that easy to get rid of big earners who don't give a feck in training and during games.Really odd given that Sam has barely played this season. Full of injuries. I guess they're cutting the wage bill?

I doubt he would have been kicked out if he showed a great attitude during rehabiliation and training though. Makes no sense. And like I said, there's no wage cutting unless the players agree. They could have just sold Sam in the summer without kicking him out for the last 2 games of the season, if he didn't cause problems in the dressing room.Sams just joined them and had problems with fitness all season. Can hardly call an injured player lazy.
I think its wage cutting.
nobody would ever buy Sam. He is on something like 3,5m/y (for 3 more years?). He isn´t even worth 1/2 of that. Schalke´s annual implosion is always great. Once a year they push the meltdown button.I doubt he would have been kicked out if he showed a great attitude during rehabiliation and training though. Makes no sense. Darmstadt 1-0 up in Karlsruhe, could be a big, big step towards promotion for them.
And Darmstadt win it. Great weekend for them. Table looks like this with 2 games to go:
1 Ingolstadt 60
2 Darmstadt 56
3 Kaiserslautern 54
4 Karlsruhe 52
5 Braunschweig 50
It seems no one wants to go up....last weekend only Darmstadt & Braunschweig have won and on this weekend only Darmstadt have won (The other four clubs have all lost).Darmstadt 1-0 up in Karlsruhe, could be a big, big step towards promotion for them.

Maybe because all games are played simultaneously tomorrow at 14:30? There are no games on Friday and Sunday, so maybe it doesn't fit in their schedule?Does anyone know why there aren't any Bundesliga games on BT Sport/ESPN this weekend?

On the last 2 matchdays, the games are played simultaneously in the Bundesliga, not just on the last one like in most other leagues.Ah, I didn't know that. I thought there were 2 game weeks left though?

I want both Darmstadt and Lautern to get promoted. A couple more nearby away games to go to would be pretty nice.As much as I like a good underdog story, I can´t help but think of Darmstadt as Paderborn 2.0, which are already doing better than I anticipated (partly because so many big clubs struggled this season). Their stadium is tiny for Bundesliga standarts and their fan base is not that much bigger, which is logical given their direct competition for fans with the established Bundesliga clubs Frankfurt and Mainz. But who knows, same things were said about Freiburg, Augsburg and before mentioned Mainz...
Substainability should not be a problem of Ingolstadt, which would be the next club bankrolled by a big German car company (AUDI, which is basically Volkswagen). They went into the season with one of the top budgets of the 2nd Bundesliga, equivalent to a small Bundesliga club. They actually plan to double that for their first Bundesliga season, which would put them firmly in the higher midfield of the league, above the likes of Frankfurt, Bremen and Hanover. Fun fact: their budget of 45 Mil. € would nearly be the one of Borussia Dortmund´s league winning season in 2010/2011. Quite an accomplishment for a club with 1.000 members (Dortmund had around 100.000 by that time) and a massive stadium capacity of 15.000, which they managed to fill a grand total of two times in the season. Gotta love me a good old plastique club.
I really hope that Kaiserslautern pulls through either directly or via the relegation. Great stadium and classy fans.
No idea. I think it's impossible to predict how the relegation battle ends. But I really hope they beat Hamburg tomorrow .Gotcha. Do you think Stuttgart will manage to stay up?
They have a huge game against HSV tomorrow. If they win that, they'll probably stay up; lose it and they're pretty much in the second division.Gotcha. Do you think Stuttgart will manage to stay up?

I'd like them to win, but Hamburg are just so bad at getting relegated that I don't think it will work out.

Classy fans is a bit of a stretch though.
