Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

Kicker tells tomorrow that Castro (until now in Leverkusen) signs a contract in Dortmund.

I doubt that they have a bad relationship. Both are just hot heads and it happened when Lewa fouled Boateng too hard in a training match.

Honestly, that just shows the "quality" of some of the Sports journalism in Germany. So, two teammates clashed a bit in training after a harder than necessary tackle? That happens hundreds of times on football pitches all over the world. Hell, I had worse arguments with my best friend on the pitch before we went out for a beer the same evening. Seriously, the extreme close fight for the EL places and especially the relegation battle could give so much food for interesting articles and instead we get this trivial crap dished out. Same with Allofs´ whining/blabbering about the unfair Bayern, who don´t try hard enough. Just pathetic...

Just because it's the day...

Memories of the last years.

The trophy ceremony, some tears somewhere because of last matches of players or coaches - and probably a sizzling relegation drama...

Do they still remember that final? Have they always had a bad relationship?

I get the feeling Boateng is a bit of a twat. Not sure why. Didn't he get into a training ground fight when at City? I could be completely wrong and he might actually be a very nice guy.

Does anyone know when Robben is back?

As it stands...

13th....Hannover 96...........-16....37
14th....Hertha Berlin..........-16....35
15th....SC Freiburg............-11....34
16th....SC Paderborn 07.....-33....34....Playoff....Playoff
17th....VfB Stuttgart..........-20....33....Relegated
18th....Hamburg SV...........-27....33....Relegated

Double punch in Dortmund. Kagawa with goal (1:0) and assist (to Auba).

Mkhitaryan finally, finally showing what he is capable of in the last stretch of the season. It is telling that he really turned it up the moment Klopp announced his departure...

EDIT: Kagawa btw with his 3rd scorer. Excellent performance by him and the rest of the offensive midfield.

So Hamburg are 45 minutes away from their first ever relegation if they don't find a goal.

I hope Hamburg finally go down, that club really needs a complete overhaul and going down would help them medium-term IMO. Same for Stuttgart actually, but I kind of like them so hope they just about survive. No one needs a shitty club like Paderborn, hope they go down and never come back, with another plastic club in Ingolstadt already promoted.

Such a shame Hannover will probably survive, I have a strange dislike for them, shit club, shithole city

So BVB's swarm tactics worked a treat in that first half. Such a shame they failed from Aug to Jan.

Relegation never helps, it always causes even more problems.

1-0 Olic, they'll survieve again :(

The comparision of Paderborn with Ingolstadt is a really odd one. The former managed promotion with a budget, which was average even for 2.Bundesliga standtarts, and went into the season with a tiny budget. The latter is another toy of the German car industry.

I can understand not wanting Paderborn in the league because they don´t really meet the standarts of a Bundesliga club in terms of stadium and fan base, but they have nothing in common with a sugar daddy club like Ingolstadt.

It was wrongly worded by me, I know Paderborn's promotion was on a shoe-string budget and something that deserved a lot of respect, but I simply can't see what they add to the league. Ingolstadt on the other hand are just as plastic as it gets, formed in 2004 and bankrolled by Audi as we all know. In my eyes it's just swapping one shitty club for another, even though the circumstances around both clubs are a bit different.

HSV will survive yet again, Schalke are really on the beach already (and crap).

Yeah I see where you are coming from.

How are Schalke so awful?!

It´s in their club´s DNA.

About Ingolstadt... and Audi - some have a misconception...

It's true that Ingolstadt never laid out that sort of money, at least not on the playing staff. Since the club was formed some 10 years ago, only €4 million were spent on transfers -- in total. And this season's budget in the second division was a modest €8.5 million, distinctly average at this level.

25 minutes to go...
