Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

Only thing to get excited about in today's match against Augsburg is Höjbjerg returning home.

And Reina gets sent off after 12 minutes. Penalty as well.
Poor sod.

It's mindboggling that even Augsburg can completely bypass our entire team with just one pass. Insanity.

And Neuer saves it... of course.

Edit: My mistake, it hit the post.

I'm sitting a couple of km away from the stadium and outside my window, a storm is brewing.

Here comes the heavy rain!

The whole team is intolerably bad nowadays. I still wonder what we do in the winter trainings camp. Twice now we've turned from playing brilliant, fluid attacking football with high intensity pressing into a team with severe flaws, that can be exploited easily and totally lacks intensity. It's shocking and can't be explained through the injury crisis.

But the most annoying thing is that even if we play another excellent first half of the season after the summer, I won't enjoy it because I've no idea what to expect come February .

I was about to post this in the Guardiola thread at half time. It's the one thing that really speaks volumes in my eyes: Twice in a row, injuries or not, Pep somehow managed to pull all our teeth (especially in midfield). There were the odd stompings in both season after the winterbreak, but overall we completely lost the plot. Pep can not be absolved of that fact.

If it is this "easy" to completely nullify us over wide stretches, the system we play can't be that ingenious...

Is that thread readable? Or just silly kneejerk nonsense? I wanted to write a bit of a review of the last 2 years and my criticism of his work, but so far I ignored the thread because it's still too soon after Wednesday.

Stopped reading it once the Mourinho-comparisons started... terra incognita after that.
Please tag me once you do post there, curious to read your thoughts.

Edit: Genius pass from Boateng there to set up Lewadowski (who missed, of course). Boateng's continued growth is the only really positive thing about the 2nd half of this season.

Just took a glance, I think I create a new one about Bayern. That thread is beyond repair .

Much like our remaining season. Maybe it's a fitting thread after all. :(

0:0 at half time at much like in the first leg against Donezk when Alonso got sent off, the game barely felt different once Lahm was out. Goes to show how well those two have been doing in midfield recently (credit where it's due: Alonso played his best game since november against Barcelona. Sadly, that doesn't say all too much).

1. no idea :(
2. trying everything, ambitious but all in all just as useless as the team itself.
cheers. At least he is trying. Usually he is just standing around doing nothing.

we are still in the CL. its not over yet. :wenger:

@Balu @Piratesoup:

How is it looking in the 2nd half? Would be glorious if Augsburg would lose aswell. So far everything goes our way except for Bayern struggling. Could be 6th at the end of the playday.

@Sphaero I can barely watch it... a game like wet powder: Useless and frustrating to deal with.

Befitting that Bobadilla scores a magnificent goal like that to humiliate us... 0:1

@Bayern Fans

What would you say are the chances of Favre becoming the next Bayern manager?
I talk about him like forever. I'd love it if he became our next manager. I hope Gladbach will finish this season in 2nd place, they're a fantastic team and it's a shame that they got drawn against Sevilla so early in the EL and then went out in a very strange way. I hope they find quality replacements for Kruse and Kramer, which isn't easy. But with guaranteed CL money, they can spend a lot, so hopefully they keep improving.

Gladbach 2-0.

This game sums up Leverkusen this season. Amazing effort and most of the time nothing to show for it.

What do you mean "this season"? :D

Leverkusen seem to have a lot more courage under Schmidt and playing well without being rewarded can be first step towards being really successful.

The Bayern meltdown is glorious

4 losses in a row, 3 games without a goal and 4 penalties missed in the cup.

No Idea, but I would love it.

Favre would be in terms of tactics and team building the best available choice inside the league, but the question would be if the quiet Favre would like to work in the eye of the German sports media. The difference in medial exposure between Gladbach and Bayern is immense.

Well, that was quite shit. Our form has gone since we basically secured survival a couple of weeks ago. Hope the team can get their arses up and show a couple of good performances to finish the season on a high.

Honestly I find it very hard to believe that any coach who made it this far doesn't have the ambition to coach a club of Bayern's size.

I dont mean to sound condescending or anything but imo it's a great achievement for a club like Mainz to be in a position where they can afford to let things slide for several weeks, especially after Tuchel was gone and his replacement didn't really work out.

Another Bayern Munich defeat

And the relegation battle over the last two matchdays will be epic

Favre was Rummenigge's roommate when both played together for Servette Genf.

For the ones that did not know that before that might be an interesting fact.

The question - like usually is - if he is made for a big club with the media Bayern has. And with so many stars. And with so many interests. Kruse - who somehow ain't the easiest guy - is told to leave because of problems with Favre. It is told that he had problems with individual stars at Berlin.

---------------

The relegation fight will be epic - especially as we talk about teams that are in the Bundesliga for a very long time and have many fans...

Paderborn hosts Wolfsburg tomorrow

The last match days for this teams:

Hertha: Eintracht (H), Hoffenheim (A)
Hamburg: Stuttgart (A), Schalke (H)
Freiburg: Bayern (H), Hannover (A)
Hannover: Augsburg (A), Freiburg (H)
Paderborn: Schalke (A), Stuttgart (H)
Stuttgart: Hamburg (H), Paderborn (A)

Frankfurt, Mainz and Cologne seem to be the only clubs thad do not fight for anything anymore - and Bayern.
