That was kinda weak from Neuer again. This game sucked from the very first moment on.

Text book counter by Gladbach. Bayern really lacking cutting edge without the explosiveness of Robben and Ribery from the flanks.

Yeah, it definitely hurts us when both are out. One of them isn't a problem, but both missing really sucks. Still, Guardiola also got his tactics totally wrong, which made it even worse. And pretty much everyone had a bad day, which simply isn't good enough against an excellent Gladbach team.

Favre is simply the best damn thing that happened to Gladbach for decades. He might not be as popular as the suave Gentleman Guardiola or the emotional buddy type Klopp, but in terms of tactics and team building he is up their with the very best coaches of the league. Does not hurt that he has a very competent DoF with Eberl at his side.

Hmm this has been terrible, the team played with no impetus up front.. Robben and Ribery need to stay fit if this side is going to damage in Europe. Any news on the Robben injury??

Told you at the beginning of the season that Gladbach will finish top 4 ;). They have a very difficult run-in though, but then, they look really strong against the top teams. At least if Kramer doesn't score owngoals from the halfway line.

If we play like today, we will go out against Porto. We didn't look any better before Robben's injury either. It was an awful game, wrong tactics, wrong players, weak individual performances. We need to do better, no doubt. But then, we had significantly better performances in recent weeks, so there is hope after all.

Yeah definitely possible. I still back you guys to edge Porto... you're the type of side who when it clicks it can be beautiful but I don't trust this Bayern side, there is a fallibility to it which you don't see in sides that go on to conquer Europe.

I've no idea what that means, but I don't see us as favourites to win the CL either.

Those Manuel Neuer mistakes

That´s a real horrible blind spot for the keeper though. Close to the body underneath the arm at high pace. For the second he´s not at fault. If that ball goes to the far post he probably saves it, cause he has a split second longer to react (due to the longer travel distance of the ball) and it´s a more natural reflex to stretch your arm.

The difference Robben makes was very apparent today. Flicked between this and Chelsea, but I saw enough.

Him and Messi are the best to watch right now.

Fallibility. . I.e. you can be vulnerable and prone to bad losses. Every big team can lose of course but theres a manner to your losses and a sense of vulnerability to this team which I don't see as much with Barca since the turn of the year.

Actually in all honesty there hasn't been a stand out team in Europe this year, all have had moments of utter ineptness. It makes this years CL a very close run thing.

Robben has ruptured a stomach muscle and will be out several weeks

Bayern were incredibly flat today but Gladbach executed their managers tactics perfectly, the Kramer and Xhaka due in midfield were excellent IMO and their forward runners worked tirelessly.

Without his wide men I think Pep looks a little short on ideas, he doesn't know how to build his attacking strategy around a #9, Lewandwoski always seems like he's on the periphery for Bayern, where he was the fulcrum of the Dortmund attack.

It was one game against a very good Gladbach side. And Robbens injury was cleary on everyones mind too.
Man Utd was due 1 big mistake and so it happened.
But all these "we will go out against Porto" "there is a fallibility" talks are a bit much, arent they?
Every team has a few bad games in a season. And Arjen is in the top 3 of players right now imo, but we have a very deep team and so Müller plays.
Not such a bad replacement.
A good Porto and a strong Leverkusen are waiting for us in april. We still beat them in most outcomes.
And Lahm should be fit by then. Able to replace Alonso.
Lets not go into a hyperbole.

Tuchel could be the new coach of Hamburg next season (if they're staying up) according to BILD and Hamburger Abendblatt

Everything is possible in football but i would be really shocked if that would happen.....not everyone is a messiah.
I really like HSV but this club has 5 good things and 95 problems.

Tuchel should go to Leipzig. He can do something big there.

Hamburg? A club of clowns. Well, maybe he fits to them. :D

Didn't Tuchel move to Munich last week? What happened to replacing or assisting Guardiola or whatever the plan was last week according to the media?

I still get pissed off when people say Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world, he always looks like he could have a mistake in him to me, he's just an arrogant cock in general. Pulls off camera saves, or simple saves, or does his mental run out the box to clear thing. Also has a pretty solid defence infront of him. Will always be overrated for me.

If not him then who? All keepers make some errors, Neuer is as reliable as a keeper gets. Currently the best in the world for me.

De Gea has played very well for most of the season but he improved a lot from before that Everton game early in the season. Even he isn't immune to errors - as we saw against Liverpool and the same weekend we saw Courtois have a bit of a shaky game against Hull. These three would be the best in the world for me but great defence or not, I think Neuer is a level above the other two right now.

Yeah, everyone makes mistakes, but when you look at how shakey our defence is compared to Bayerns machine, it's hard to give it to Neuer, he spends 99% of games asleep. Everyone thinks Neuer's title as best keeper has been there for years now, and I think it'll be there till he retires, people just get into the habit of thinking he's the best keeper and continue with it. That said I don't watch all Bundesliga games so he might be superman in them all, but the ones I see he rarely does anything.

Like most people i think too that he's the best keeper in the world. Of course he has one of the best defences in the world with Bayern Munich & Germany and has nothing do in 89 minutes of a match but he's still then to make this one important save in a match.
But his game outside of the box is so over-rated......i think he's made 4-5 mistakes this season in that case and he's only lucky that it was unpunished so far. One mistake like that in the Algeria match and people would still laugh about him.

I see where you're coming from, but that's what separates the top keepers from the rest. They need to be awake in the one moment that counts. Neuer does that as far as I've seen. Multiple keepers have spoken about how it's easier to play a game when your goal is attacked throughout, as opposed to games when the opposition gets one or two chances.
