Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

Dante in for Martínez, who looks like he's in a lot of pain.

That injury looked painful as feck. He wasn't prepared for Schmelzer there. Hope he didn't tear his ACL.

and yet it was more a mistake by Martinez, opens up the whole central defence without doing anything, a David Luiz move.
that shouldnt be a big problem in a back 3/5. One of the CBs can charge withouth causing a big problem. We just didnt have any presence in the area infront of them. Gaudino couldnt impact Mkhitaryan´s run at all. He just doesnt have the body of an adult yet. I like it, that he gets time on the pitch, but he´ll get overpowered frequently.

It's amazing how Dortmund manages to shoot literally straight at neuer so often :D

Bayern throughly outplayed in the first half, strugglig to adapt to BVB's intense pressure. Bayern haven't gotten much out of their half either.

BVB look pretty good. Can see they were conserving their energy in that scouse friendly the other day.

Aubameyang is frighteningly fast. Causing Bayern a lot of problems. Dortmund looking pretty sharp.

His acceleration is supposedly faster than Bolt's - though that's probably BS or down to a different context.

Absolutely gutted for Javi, the guy just can't catch a break.

Everytime I see Aubameyang pay, I'm taken aback by his pace.

Dortmund all over Bayern here, should be more then just 1-0. Have to feel for Martinez though, he's become so injury prone.

Confirmed that Martinez' knee is looking very bad, ACL probable.

Damn supcercup...

Was Martinez as injury prone at Bilbao, too? Or in his first year at Bayern?
Can't remember many injuries to him back then.

This isn't some muscle or joint problem. An ACL injury is caused by an external force or a specific movement. Being injury prone has little to do with it.

Pep needs to think long and hard about how he wants this Bayern team to play. B-string players or not, this system looks ominously ineffective and shaky.

BVB have had 18 shots to FCB's 3. Says a lot. Lewandowski has hardly touched it. They've looked terrible.

Bayern look awful. A few kids playing today but they don't seem anywhere near the side from a couple of years back.

That probably has a lot to do with Sokratis having a great game.

You just never know what to expect when these two play. I swear its been alternating wins now for the last year

Dortmund are looking very good. If they can avoid injuries (which they suffered from a lot last year) they can challenge for either the league or CL this year, maybe both. Nobody will want to play them in the CL, that is for sure.
