Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

Its really interesting how unconvincing all Bundesliga teams were so far in the quarter finals...

I thought Dortmund had a very decent second half. They showed alot of atitude

That was again pretty impressive from Leno. He's playing a fantastic season.

i for one find leverkusen quite convincing today. i mean, BAYERN. they also look a lot better against bayern than dortmund did, imho.

Everyone looks so tired. I hope this doesn't go to extratime, it'll be incredibly boring.

He's been great in the second half of the season so far but he was very shaky in the first.

I´m pretty sure that you wouldn´t say that if Lewandowski´s goal would have counted. Bayern with (logically) way more initiative (and possession) in this game than vs. us, which results in way more space for Leverkusen.

Yeah, he had a few bad games, but even in the first half of the season it was visible that he overall improved in his approach to the game. His decision making was better, his positioning more pro-active. He made a huge step in his development over the summer and since a few months consistently shows it.

Rafinha saving Neuer´s ass... usually its the other way around.

I'm surprised he didn't injure himself doing that.

Best thing about this entire game is that Thiago's knee didn't shatter after kicking Kießling in the heart.

Thats seriously one of the worst referee perfomances I have seen in years and I have seen a lot of shitty ones....

Did Owen Hargreaves just say Thiago is Brazilian? I thought he was Spanish. Maybe I misheard who he was talking about.

His father is brazilian, but he was born and raised in spain and chose the spanish national team. His brother declared for brazil.

He's actually both. His parents are Brazilian and he's born in Italy. He chose to play for Spain, his brother chose to play for Brazil.

How the hell is that not a red card? :wenger:

I'm not disagreeing that this is normally a red card, but Zweier didn't even award Spahic with a yellow card when he almost took Lahm's foot off. The ref is really not having one of his best games.

I just hope no team scores, i want pens :p

The foul of Thiago gets worse every time I see it. He needs to be banned for that afterwards. Jumped kick with stretched leg with open sole in the direction of the head. If he hits Kiesling´s neck this can turn really really bad.

Since the referee saw it, I can't see a ban manifesting.

I don't think that's possible, because the ref showed him a yellow card. Retroactive action can only be taken if the ref completely missed the incident. It was awful though, should have been a red + 3 game ban, no doubt.

I agree it should have been a red as well and Lewa's goal should not have been called off for such a minimal "touch" that was laughable.

You are right it's not. The ref saw the situation and decided it was a yellow card. Which means it can't be overturned into a ban at least that's how I remember it.

Damn, you are right.
