I'm definitely worried. Leverkusen have been in excellent form and we miss half of our treble winning starting line-up (Robben, Ribery, Schweinsteiger, Alaba, Martinez are all injured). Thiago is not fit enough to start, Lahm will only start for the second time since his ankle injury and overall we haven't been in good form since the winterbreak. Alonso has to start again and he has been truely shit for months now. I don't expect a great game and hope Leverkusen will bottle it again, even if they have a chance to win the match.
Unless something really surprising happens, that should be our line-up
Neuer - Dante, Boateng, Benatia - Bernat, Alonso, Lahm, Rafinha - Götze - Lewandowski, Müller
Knock-out match. They would have a chance even if Bayern would be on full strength.
i salute the bald lord of the sith for this early substitution. a somewhat bold, yet understandable move.
I Interpret it as "Mull, you old Indian chief, don't you want to go to the locker room so it looks in tv as if I subbed him off for an injury?"What was the gesture from Guardiola towards the bench about?
sure, i rather meant the fact that rode is obviously not a 1:1 substitution, as alonso moved even further back into the defensive line of three, while rode gives a bit more, erm, direct dynamics to bayern's clearly lacking game play.I doubt that this was tactical. Rode was not even warmed up and two docs followed Benatia.
Badstuber isn't fully fit though. Could have been too big a risk to sub him in, if it's not certain that he lasts the remaining 60 (maybe with extratime 90) minutes.sure, i rather meant the fact that rode is obviously not a 1:1 substitution, as alonso moved even further back into the defensive line of three, while rode gives a bit more, erm, direct dynamics to bayern's clearly lacking game play.
If you think that was dreadful, just wait for the halftime show with Opdenhövel and Scholl.
so are there no other CB's at hand, at all? no promising, somewhat stable U23 lad or whathaveyou? none?Badstuber isn't fully fit though. Could have been too big a risk to sub him in, if it's not certain that he lasts the remaining 60 (maybe with extratime 90) minutes.
Martinez is still injured, usually you get through a season with 5 centerbacks. Throwing some youth player with no first team experience into a cup quarterfinal away at Leverkusen is an even worse idea in my opinion. And Rode has done well so far for us, nothing wrong with playing him and adjusting the tactics a bit.so are there no other CB's at hand, at all? no promising, somewhat stable U23 guy or whathaveyou? none? i mean why have badstuber on the bench then?
Well, that was rather dreadful.
Jinxed it
/edit:
.. or not. Gladbach is out. Bielefeld goes through, a team from the 3rd league in the semifinals.

how was this not a goal.
So Spahic can kung fu kick Lahm in the ankle, but Lewandowski can't brush against a defender's shirt.
leno is second to neuer when it comes to german GK's. i do rate leno quite above ter stegen.
One of the greatest myths of German football is that this cúnt is still allowed to cripple other players.
