Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

Auba close again, good save by keeper. Interesting match no doubt.

Been enjoying german football alot this year. Prefering to other footballs when it´s on (this if we forget Dortmund vs Bayern last weekend :boring:).

Subotic almost scored to make up for his defensive error. Dortmund pressing hard

Good save Langerak and a bad miss by Firmino after that.

Goals, alot of chances, hard tackles, cards and now extra time. Very good match to watch this evening

In their current situation Dortmund probably won't look to good if it goes to penalties.
Doesn't look like they have enough left in the tank to really pressure Hoffenheim either.

What a goal by Kehl, it´s 3-2 Dortmund. No chance for Hoffenheim´s keeper.@ Klopp and the hat

Feckin hell how did Kampl miss that?

That finish from Kampl was about as horrible as Kehl's shot was amazing. Reminded me bit about the miss from Gomez.

There goes Hoffenheim´s keeper

FT 3-2. Dortmund chances for European football remain alive. Semi´s await now

I think if Bayern and Gladback win tomorrow, which is highly likely, they'll be pretty much there right? The other 3 semi finalists would be in the Champions league

Only the cup winner qualifies for the EL. I think Dortmund have a better chance to qualify via the league.

I just looked it up as my friend told me otherwise. Apparantly the losing finalist gets the spot if the winner is in the UCL. If both finalists are in the UCL, the Europa spot goes to the highest placed league finisher (well, according to wiki).

Used to be like that. The rule was changed this season, only the cup winner gets a EL spot or it goes to 7th in the league.

Not anymore. UEFA changed it before this season. If the winner is already qualified for the CL, the last Europa League spot goes to the 7th placed team in the league.

Ah ok, cheers for the info. My mates a Hoff fan anyway, so the dream is over haha

Edit: Thanks as well Balu

Maybe Kampl´s is a tribute to the greatest Slovenianman ever: Whoever He Maybe.

With Kampl his first name tells you everything (I guess that is something just Germans understand... as I think in English it is just a name)

His girlfriend is a haircutter - and if he would have less money he probably would have a Manta...

Do leverkusen have a chance tonight ?
I'm definitely worried. Leverkusen have been in excellent form and we miss half of our treble winning starting line-up (Robben, Ribery, Schweinsteiger, Alaba, Martinez are all injured). Thiago is not fit enough to start, Lahm will only start for the second time since his ankle injury and overall we haven't been in good form since the winterbreak. Alonso has to start again and he has been truely shit for months now. I don't expect a great game and hope Leverkusen will bottle it again, even if they have a chance to win the match.

Unless something really surprising happens, that should be our line-up
Neuer - Dante, Boateng, Benatia - Bernat, Alonso, Lahm, Rafinha - Götze - Lewandowski, Müller

1-0 Bielefeld with a great strike from the edge of the area. Gladbach very ponderous so far.

Should be a good match. Looking forward to it.

FCB:
Neuer - Alonso, Dante, Benatia, Lewandowski, Rafinha, Boateng, Bernat, Götze, Lahm (K), Müller

Bench: Reina - Thiago, Pizarro, Gaudino, Rode, Badstuber, Weiser

Leverkusen:
Leno - Hilbert, Toprak, Spahic, Wendell - Bender, Rolfes - Bellarabi, Brandt - Castro - Kießling

Bench: Kresic, Reinartz, Drmic, Calhanoglu, Papadopoulos, Jedvaj, Donati

Looks eerily similar to our Schweini+Alonso games so far but I guess that's to be expected.

Looked like a pen to me but the TV showed no replay.

Edit: no pen, Leverkusen player tripped on himself

Indeed. Looked like a pen but the Leverkusen player was clumsy

Extra time in Bielefeld. At least Gladbach have to tire themselves out to advance similar to us yesterday. Damn shame that there is no conference of both games, though.
