Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

To close the gap to the top so tehy can compete with Bayern, BVB and Schalke, they'd have to invest at least € 1 billion over the next five years. That's an awful lot of money, even for RedBull.
That would be 200m/year, running an F1 team is probably a multitude of this. In fact, it may be about Vettel's salary :D

And they don't have to pay Vettel's salary anymore, so there's some money available now. The big question is how they'll get around financial fair play. But more interestingly, how did you feck up the quote? I never wrote what you quoted above and it links to a different post of mine .

Humm, i hit "Quote" and "reply" as i always do :D may have been i hit "quote" on another post before that... ?! puzzling :D

. Brilliant by Müller, Lewandowski almost fecked it up though. Didn't our resident Hamburg fan recently say that Westermann looks solid this season? @gofelx

Anyway, good start. 1-0 Bayern after 6 minutes.

Our line-up:
Neuer - Alonso, Dante, Ribery, Lewandowski, Rafinha, Boateng, Bernat, Lahm (K), Müller, Alaba

2-0

Edit: goal cancelled? wtf?

Edit2: I think I see what happened, still strange to see it called off that late, though.

Müller & Lewandowski are just brilliant together. 2-0 this time, Müller scores after a brilliant through ball from Lewandowski.

What the feck? Okay, still 0-1. Good that it took them about 3 minutes to make that decision.

Without Behrami our defense is like 50% worse. And yes @Balu, Westermann was very good so far this season. But that backpass was freakin terrible.

Of course... Alaba scores after the throw in which was wrongly awarded for Bayern :/

Great strike from Alaba.
He is such a talented player. Only 22. He always wanted to play in midfield. Could get his wish under Pep even more this season.
His prime is 3,4 years away. Cant wait to see where he goes playingwise and in terms of his career.

Yeah. Hard luck for you(you were a Bayernfan,no?) but your guys playing good.
Can be proud.

Back to the left wing in the long run, I hope. Also, he should take even more freekicks.

Tell me about it. I dont know if I want a great midfielder or the best leftback in the world. We really are spoilt with him.
But he will change constantly under Pep I feel. He is so versatile.

@Balu and his Schadenfreude. And some wonder why there so many Bayernhaters. ;)

Damn, Vizekusen no more. They are reeealy awesome this year...

What a goal by Alaba. Great swerve on it, game over.

Can't believe I'm saying this but Alonso actually looks better for Bayern than he did for Real which is saying something given how important he was for Real and how much they missed him at the start of last season. Perhaps he is just more at ease in this more fluid Bayern team, relatively speaking of course as Real weren't exactly a rigid team. Some of his passing in certain games I've seen this season has just been . Just love the technique of it, how it slows down right before it reaches the target and also played with a good amount of backspin so it almost controls itself for the receiver. Reminds me a lot of Scholes passing technique.

EDIT: I am not really underrating the Real Alonso, before someone misunderstands my post. I just thought Alonso might have been on a decline given how he struggled at the WC (but hey so did most Spaniards) and also his age (not that he relied too much on his physical qualities). So it's all the more impressive that he is still playing at such a high level.

This was probably the first game in my life-time where I thought the team had scored a goal for a good 10-15 minutes when they actually hadn't . Stupid camera-man showing repeated replays of the offside goal and I guess I didn't check the scoreline as I'm more used to it on the left top hand corner than the right.

Never knew about the Benatia 2 yellow cards from Italian cup competitions carrying over here for a suspension rule :wenger:.

I love Leverkusen, I'm sure they only equalised to finish the bottle job in the penalty shootout.

Noo I'm a Hamburg fan.
Gutted though. Westermann with the assist for the first goal and the linesman heavily involved in the 2-0. At least I'll get to see Steinmann for a little bit...

Ah sorry. Meant Hamburg fan.
Is Steinmann any good? Will watch him a bit. Thanks.

Scholl not mincing his words.
"One minute fourty before he got the ball in his balls."
"Eine Minute 40 vorher hat er den Ball in die Eier gekriegt."

He is our most important midfielder in our U23 team who are already "Herbstmeister" in Regionalliga Nord. We have 40 points out of 14 games so far.

Magdeburg's keeper got huge cojones. Scores one, safes one.

Absolute shocker at Magdeburg - Leverkusen. A world first. Leverkusen only almost bottle it horrible.

Leno hold 3! penalties. He also has crazy numbers in the league there.
Happy for Bayer. Great team, playing fine football.

Sorry @Balu ;)

The € 10M for Bernat have been a major steal, he's already the third best left back in the Bundesliga behind Alaba and Ricardo Rodriguez. Having both Alaba and Bernat on the team is quite unreal, considering how many teams struggle to find decent solutions on the position.

Hoffenheim 3-0 up and Gustavo scores the 3-1 for Wolfsburg. Seems like only Frankfurt - Gladbach could give us a bit more drama.

How do you know that Bayern has a comfortable lead in a cup match... The oldies (Lahm and Alonso) get subbed before minute 70...

Eintracht Frankfurt's players don't seem very confident since they conceded the 0-2. I think the game has been decided as well.

Yeah, I wrote that before Gladbach scored the 2nd. They look again excellent.
