Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

Possible, still the timing is godawful and shows how incompetent the board is. I really hope, Dortmund destroy them tonight.

No. I want some comedy - and that is none. I like it when Dortmund plays on different times than Bayern does. In the last season that always was the time when Dortmund did not get results.

Today is the time for the South and Southwest to conquer the West.

I'd rather have a fighting Paderborn than a ridiculous Stuttgart. So: Way to go!

On route. I would like Augsburg to score a goal in Leverkusen... :D

What shit defending by Dortmund again.

Rudiger had a good pass in the build up over the top.

Good god... Dortmund is better at resurrecting the dead than Herbert West.

Besides the Dortmund  and Hamburg still without goals , what the feck is Wolfsburg doing this season? I thought they would push on from where they finished last season, but the way they've played so far, they won't challenge Leverkusen or Schalke for a CL spot.

The one positive thing and really the only thing I can praise this team for is the morale for coming back. You can´t win games, if you gift the other teams goals on the silver platter like that. Some of the defending was hilariously bad. The central midfield just as poor. In current form Jojic would have a hard time starting in any Bundesliga team, but still plays because of the lack of alternatives. At least Gyau, our lad from the reserves showed some potential and at this point I rather give him a shot in the upcoming derby instead of seeing Jojic fall asleep with the ball on his foot one more time. Bender needs game time to get back in form, which is a luxury we don´t have at the moment. Offensive lacked precision in the last passes, but without support from the CM its also hard to blame them really. Kagawa and Aubameyang with solid performances. They tried a lot. Immobile often times too hectic in his actions. Großkreutz needs a break to get out of his mini slump. Ramos brought some dynamic in the game.

Overall simply not good enough even with all the injuries. We still had the superior line up on the field. Stuttgart was there for the taking and we simply refused to keep all the points in Dortmund. Klopp has his work cut out for him.

@Sphaero

I do not really know if you need morale to come back against Stuttgart. Not if you look at Stuttgart's history from the last year in giving leads and draws away in the last minutes of a match...
It would be more of a surprise if they would not have...

There's a little piece on Sinan Kurt on german Sky right now. Gotta say: He seems pretty daft.

You do know that I´m grasping at straws here to find anything positive in that match, right? So I would appreciate if you don´t burn the last remaining straw with your logic ;).

Dortmund's defense looks as clueless as ours, and the attack has the pace and pressing but lacks the cutting edge right now understandably, I also think Gundogan is a huge miss from midfield, they don't have anyone who connects the play so well IMO.

Especially Jojic in central midfield and Subotic in central defence were in horrible form. At least the addition of Mats Hummels alongside Sokratis should improve their defensive stability a fair bit, while Durm cannot take over Schmelzer's spot quick enough as far as I'm concerned (although the left back responded well to his two mistakes).

Central midfield on the other hand is currently a much more difficult issue, Gündogan and Sahin are both out and it shows.

Right now Dortmund has to be careful not to trail by too many points in the Bundesliga table, to allow them a title challenge with their top players on-board. Pretty ironic though given that a lot of 'experts' saw Dortmund far ahead ofBayern after the meaningless Supercup victory and reckoned Bayern would have to be careful not too trail by double digits early into the season.

Could alternatively tru to put Kevin Groskreutz at the LB when we have more alternatives at the front. He seems to do quite well these days, building some confidence.

Also the middle and wing options are so limited these days it is funny.

How you all feel about the upcomging Ruhr Derby? Will Schalke be kicking the lame man, or will Dortmund strike back for the fans:)?

I don't know much about Jojic, do you feel he has potential to push on as he looks a bit ordinary to me but I have not seen more than few games of him. Subotic's last injury looks to really have taken it out of him, he looked slow and struggling with mobility at times against Stuttgart. Durm the future for Germany as LB?

I know there is a lot of uncertainty around Gundogan due to the nature of his back problem but when is Sahin due back?

Those matches are just friendlies, like Arsenal beating City in our version the Charity Shield, it meant very little. I think some maybe thought that Bayern were missing quite a few players and Pep seemed keen to implement a new system so they might struggle, but they ignored Dortmund's injury list which has since gotten worse with Reus and Mkhitaryan going down.

I would be disappointed if not.

Concerning the injury list, it was quite severe, but from what I can judge from their official list it looks better. Sure, many lack proper match fitness, but this means that is isn't many players out at this time.

Has he got any competition coming through for the spot?

Thanks for the link, it certainly seems to be getting whittled down and Dortmund should be in a much better shape squad-wise after the next International break.
