I did it with a few others, try just landing the plane...ignore the feckin vans, as long as you hit the yellow marker and stop it seems to be ok.

I done that first, but plane got wedged on a car. As plane wouldnt move, it came up "mission failed".

On my way home then jumping on.

Xbox 360: Add "HardyEvenThere" and join session in progress. Server will be crew only, but if you want to bring along a friend or two that's fine (as long as they're not dicks).

I'm the attractive blonde woman (because really, you're all being guys? There's already three guys to choose from.)

EDIT: scratch that, shit's come up, be about half six now.

Anyone on ps3 now? Dissertation research can wait.

Probably best not to race for a few days though. It's too easy to throw people off without even meaning to at times and I can see why people get annoyed. I only nudge people on purpose when they're overtaking, which I think is fair enough on GTA. Other than that it's usually a ricochet or an uncontrollable slip stream which gets me in bother.

We should do it on the actual 'GTA destroy each other' mode and see how we get on with that.

Yeah, I don't like the racing when people purposely spin you out or whack into you. I was racing with Fortboyard (sp) the other day and his only tactic was to try and keep spinning me out deliberately and then say its gta. He's not the only one, you go and play with randomners, it's all the same.

But like you say, if you want to play GTA racing, then set it to GTA racing, if its a normal race then I don't think it's cool. I got annoyed after 3 races and left.

I twatted someone off the road during a race yesterday by mistake. It's so easy for it to happen even if you're actively avoiding the other racers. Some corners are set up for it too, it's unavoidable.

Ya, I'm the same. Sometimes the game glitches too and before you know it, a car is ontop of you and hitting each other is unavoidable.

I'm not bothered with racing. Easy money alright, but not mad into upgrading my car/bikes.

I think it was you I knocked off! Apologies brah.

That glitch happened on a corner when me and my scouse friend were racing. I somehow spawned underneath him sending him flying into a bridge and exploding.

Not gonna lie; it was beautiful.

Blowing up personal cars is a bullshit reason to be made a bad sport.

Lol wtf??

Edit: yeah there was a guy in ls customs with a bounty, so I did what any normal person would do. I waited for him to get out and sticky bombed his car and blew him up, then was told I'm being a bad sport. I felt bad afterwards because I didn't even think about that part.

My friend got banned for 3 days for doing it. To be fair, he was started on first. But he did go on a spree with stickybombs.

I agree. If its set to a GTA race then spinning people out is part of it. If it's a standard race then spinning people out is a cheap and dirty tactic that pisses me off.

Yera tips and hits happen!

I think I might stay a bad sport. The servers seem mental. I was barely in there 10 minutes and a tank fecked me up!

Edit: Don't like the hat though.

That's bullshit, what do they expect? It's GTA, blowing up cars is part of it. That's what insurance is there for.

It is and it isnt. They had similar issues in Red Dead Redemption, you spawn and someone on a horse just constantly hammers you with bullets.

I play online to join missions that become available, not to get my car blown up by some gobshite for no reason. Missions I cant access in invite only or private sessions. It does take away from the game, but there has to be a balance where you cant exceed a certain amount of retaliated kills or blowing up personal vehicles.

Especially blowing up people who are in passive mode.

That's why I don't play public. I didn't buy the game to get terrorised by some 12 year old douchebag, I do missions and feck around with my friends.

Sometimes we troll each other a bit, but we pay for damages if we do. I got chased by two guys with an assault rifle in a heli on my first day. Couldn't take them down with a pistol and it lasted 20 minutes, I couldn't even make any money. I haven't joined one since, stick to invite.

If ruining the game for others is the way you get kicks, then you'll get kicked, it's a good system.

Ya. getting charged 2k for a death you have no control over is a joke too. Sure it is fun to go around and kill everyone, it also borders taking the piss. Glad the bad sport people will be stuck in their own map.

Yeah, on my first day I went around killing people with zen from here I think, but since then I've realised that's not where the fun is at.

You only bad rep for blowing up peoples vehicles, not killing them. Don't see what the difference is.

Yeah, it's absolutely ridiculous. Apart from the Super-Cars it's more expensive to die than to have your car blown up. I don't understand the logic of this, it's kill or be killed. I love the thrill of chasing someone or having someone chasing me and trying to defend myself. If I get bored or am losing too much money I just join a mission or another server. The fact that I have to pay for the insurance of other people's cars as well is enough of an incentive for me to moderate myself with the bombs.

 at playing in solo servers to not get disturbed. The map is huge for 16 players, it's so easy to stay away from the heat.

I'm not sure how many "warnings" of "bad sport" you can get away with until you're actually moved to a server. I've blown quite a few personal cars (in two of the times I actually sent money to them because they were low level players and I was just practising my aim with the attack buzzard) but I think regularly participating in missions with other players kind of offsets it. Must have had some 10 to 20 warning in total.

In regards to the racing, well, I try to race it clean when I can so as to not ruin other people's experiences but this is still GTA, not Gran Turismo. Unless you're playing an extremely short race you should be able to curb aggressors with practice. If they've done it before than it's not that hard to swerve away from them, brake softly, get behind them, slipstream, and spin them yourself properly. I don't see the point of getting annoyed at every little touch like some seem to. With traffic, catch-on enabled, etc, the races are anything but realistic.

I've recently been playing in an invite-only session because I was buying an apartment and buying/modding some cars so couldn't be arsed with getting jumped somewhere.

Will possibly be on after the footie, played a few with FortBoyard just now but nothing major.

I reckon it can be a pain in the ass for lower levelled and under-armed players now that a lot of people have assault rifles and upwards. It's in no way a fair fight if you're hanging with just a pistol. It gets a lot easier afterwards. People on higher levels tend to spend more times in jobs so they don't hassle the levelling people. I very rarely go out of my way to annoy any one, apart from two adventures with the helicopter, and both short-lived. It's fun defending myself though. One day a guy that made a mission with me instantly killed me from the back when we respawned as I had a bounty over my head. I hunted him and made him lose more than the bounty's worth of money. He could have changed servers or left for another job, but having stayed I imagine he was having fun with it as well.

If you're doing jobs you never hang for too long in the same server so it's usually a minor hassle being targeted by griefers.

 MF/overview12, why did you leave as soon as we started talking about getting the headsets out?

Huge pain in the ass. I was getting very frustrated until last night when TDon, Damien, and DanCity invited me to do better missions so I can level up faster. Still only level 10 but the micro SMG is night and day compared to the pistol and sawed off shotgun.

Fantastic, kicked out of server and then PSN. Sorry guys, gonna leave it as that tonight.

Wait until level 24, assault rifle. It is an even sweeter feeling

MF, did you enjoy our 1 on 1 death match session. That's what you get for starting on me sir.

If picking up someone who picked up a briefcase was a weapon then you would have had it, they just need to make a deathmatch with my specialised forte in mind.

 actually cracking up here. Although you forgot to mention the MF made smart car.

Great mission last night stealing the container!

Was all planned out before hand - each of us knew which aircraft we would steal from the army base, and then which direction we would each head in to lose the police.

Then we rejoined and were able to pick up the container, get rid of any arriving bad guys, and then take it to the drop off point.

I mentioned it in the PSN chat last night, but for me this was a glimpse into what the heists will be like...and I think they will be absolutely brilliant!

I love the fact that when starting these missions, there is no time pressure on them (or at least these particular ones). This means you can take your time and plan your approach, rather than being forced to get moving asap, thus eliminating the opportunity for planning.

What's this chat thing then? May well have been asked before but I don't have a headset but would love tone involved in the text chat thing if it means a few good jobs. I'm on PS3

What's your PSN?

In other news my mic lit up last night eventually. I might actually talk tonight.

Add me, my PSN is : Levo956

I'll then invite you to the chat when I've accepted and that's where we all join for jobs and the such.

Just a note for everyone, the crew only servers seem to be working so that might be the way to go. If someone enters a crew only session through the online menu from story mode and then everyone else join the player.
