We’ll be lucky to get £30m IMO, especially with the wages.
I don’t really see your point? I’m quite confident he gets an extraordinary level of abuse on the internet. I think it started ramping up since the vile racist abuse he received after the England penalty miss, and has continued since then.
And he's throwing it all away.
No, and I didn’t say as much. Why would he get more abuse than other professional footballers with this type of media following? Sterling? Saka? you think Haaland is only getting love in his inbox?
No, and I didn’t say as much.
I’m really struggling to see what your point here is? I said I wasn’t shocked to hear how much abuse he receives on socials, given he even gets a fair amount of nastiness thrown his way on this forum (more than the average United player). Which part of that is confusing to you?
It was obviously noteworthy enough for Henry Winter, one of the most respected football writers in the country, to acknowledge it. Seems like it’s irritating you that the excessive abuse he receives at times is being highlighted.I don't really understand why it gets highlighted. I just find it funny that the angle is that he's somehow getting extraordinary abuse.
It comes with the job. His social media posts are full of every bit of the scale, from full blown love to people having a proper go, just like it is for most players at that level, It's not nice but it's standard. That's why they have people that handle their social media accounts.

feel like you missed the big story ha.Make or break week for him, he either accepts the wake up call or he will be gone by January
I think he's accepted to leave by the sounds of itMake or break week for him, he either accepts the wake up call or he will be gone by January
What’s the other explanation? That Henry Winter is on his payroll?Yes, that's exactly it.
The club already has so this is basically the fallout from the weekends decisions and subsequent reports/club briefs regarding his status and place at the club long term.I think he's accepted to leave by the sounds of it

Ah, I see. Great discussion, anyway.I'm not talking about Henry Winter.
Will never forget...
I can never have ill will for academy lads who have served the club, will be wishing him luck wherever he lands next up. So long as it's abroad
My Chelsea supporting mate was just joking about hoping they sign him to replace Mudryk . Seems to think Rashford will turn good again elsewhere like Sancho.
I remember there was research done around that time - the 21/22 season - about online abuse of footballers and Harry Maguire and Cristiano Roanldo were the top two who received most personal abuse.I don’t really see your point? How many more chances will you give him?If Amorim does put him on the pitch some time soon.... I'll be watching his application. If there's a reaction I will not be part of the inevitable pile on. I still want him to turn it around.... Sad the way it seems to be ending.
A similar study carried out recently;I remember there was research done around that time - the 21/22 season - about online abuse of footballers and Harry Maguire and Cristiano Roanldo were the top two who received most personal abuse.
You don't really hear much about those, but almost all high profile people who are on social media will have to suffer it - there was another research after that that said something like 70% of PL stars experience plenty of online abuse. And I imagine the exceptions are the ones with lower profiles or playing for teams who don't generate many rivals.
The abuse seems to be highighted, and made a 'big thing', for just a tiny percentage of those 70% of players who have to all deal with personal abuse - the rest of them it just seems to be dismissed as part of the few downsides of fame and wealth and 'we'd all take being called a few names for their lifestyle'. I'm sure none of them enjoy it, but the mental side of learning to deal with the negatives is part of reaching - and staying - at the top of any sport - especially such a scrutinised, emotive and tribal sport like Football.
Christ, we really have a lot of shit "supporters".A similar study carried out recently;

Nearly double the next most ‘abused’ player. And others seem to wonder why it might get highlighted…Christ, we really have a lot of shit "supporters".
6 of the players are/were United players too. Arsenal have the next highest, with 2...Nearly double the next most ‘abused’ player. And others seem to wonder why it might get highlighted…

We've got Bruno, Rasmus, AmadLast remaining member of the Ole at the wheel chant
Mate, Rashford has about ten times the number of abusive messages as the top player on that list. Why is it bothering you so much that something very obvious is being pointed out?

Yeah. It’s been very toxic in general for a while now.6 of the players are/were United players too. Arsenal have the next highest, with 2...
No wonder most players struggle here.
You should read back a page or 2Make or break week for him, he either accepts the wake up call or he will be gone by January
Perfect summary. He's dropped from the squad, the club then brief that he's up for sale in the next few weeks, he responds saying he's looking forward to a new challenge, and yet he's the bogeyman? Good grief.
Most of the criticism aimed his way for his on field antics is deserved, I dont think he's actually got enough credit for what he's done off the pitch (he did literally help feed this countries kids), but some of the personal abuse and hate is utterly unwarranted and somewhat grim.
I don't do social media at all unless you count the CAF, so I don't know the answer to this question:I don't really understand why it gets highlighted. I just find it funny that the angle is that he's somehow getting extraordinary abuse.
