He was one of our best players under Ole, he barely played in the season he got sacked as he was recovering from injury. Ten Hag would’ve been sacked earlier if it wasn’t for Rashford’s form in his first season. This myth that he gets managers sacked needs to die.
Nope. Rashford for most of his career is an absolute pace merchant with zero awareness of the game.
He has been the same possibly since 2016-17 where if you give him time and space, he can hurt the opposition, but low block, less time on the ball, track back and you have a player not worth keeping.
Plus his PR nonsense is too irritating. Even at the start of the season he had this "doing hard work" types videos and we see the results on the pitch.
One of the worst 1 club players to exist and one of the main reasons for United's downfall.
Believing in him as the main star at United, playing in a position to score goals, and earning a fat check every week and we are reaping the rewards.
Someone posted his stats since the league cup win. Some 17 goals in 70 odd matches. Tells you what you need to know.
No manager told him to not track back, not show any interest in being in the game and sulking away instead of fighting back.

I agree with most of your views but this comment in particular is just a stupid .

If you see the number of merchandises sold under his name, you will see why. Do they publish those btw? That could be the only possible reason, considering its impossible he somehow possess compromising evidence of all 5 coaches.

Rashford is face of United because United made him so , Rashford needs United rather than other way round to actually retain his commercial Value .

Fact of the matter is United would more or less sell similar Value of Merchandise even if Rashford is moved on in Summer just with different face .
This is correct. We had Ronaldo in our team. One of the biggest football players ever. He left and Rooney became a bigger star than he was when Ronaldo was here.

Once Rashford retires at the age of 40 and United are playing in League One, we will find another gem like Rashford to make us dream.

Man Utd 2:0 PAOK FC New
Seemed more up for physical battle (good header won) during his cameo. Garnacho and, in particular, Bruno were awful tonight. Wouldn't mind seeing F3 of amad, zirkzee and rashford with a M3 of Ugarte, Casimero and Mount.

Had a great chance to make it 3-0 and couldn't even hit the target.

Standard non-existent performance from Rashford.

What people don't think about is that even if Garnacho's bad he's constantly attacking, pressing, and stretching the field. Same for Amad. When you play 2 wingers who do this (Diallo, Garnacho) the results are almost always better than playing Rashford with 1 of them.

I'd be tempted to start him as the number 9 given Hojlund and Zirkzee's form.

Exactly my thoughts. I have a feeling Amorim will try him at 9, as he thrives on through balls rather than crosses, and Amorims system is more about creating chances by through balls from midfield.

No striker will survive 17 goals in 70 games with that level of contribution, pay and media coverage for any major club. Especially for someone who can only provide goals. I kinda think if we are to move forward, shipping pogba and rashford should be step number 1. Its true all the way back since Jose's era and its true now. He will be one of the key face when the history of our downfall of these era discussed in the future.

He belong at midtable or lower club if he put a shift in. IF. If we are to move out of this zone, we need to move him on. IF.

Honestly I don't think even a midtable side goes for him. He doesn't put a defensive shift and is so one dimensional offensively. He might go straight to Saudi or China when we figure out he's the problem

My thoughts as well. He’s too one dimensional as a wide man, and he provides no defensive service whatsoever.

He's been tried as a number 9 several times down the years and it's rarely if ever worked.

The club should have cashed in on him with PSG when we had the chance.

You’d think that he’d want to come on last night and put on a good show for the new boss who he knows will have been watching. So, what does he do? he comes on and starts ambling around without a care in the world against low quality opposition. I’m praying Amorim can either get a consistent tune out of him or can see through the bullshit and drop him.

Eriksen blanked him just as much as Rashford did. They both gave him a little acknowledgement and moved on. This is just the same as the guy criticising Garnacho and filming it, and it's no surprise they both are/were associated with the united stand.

He plays like a 35 year old veteran who priorities conservation of energy. There's nothing about him that looks anything like a 27 year old trying to get back to his best and fighting hard to regain his place in the national side.

He looks like a very old, tired player. Maybe conditioning is an issue. He doesn't look in poor shape, but maybe that's only half the story.

Yup, fans eat it up though

He's a nobody who's just there fishing for a reaction one way or the other.

I'd ignore the bellend too, players have no interest in having a to run a gauntlet of walmart style greeters on the way out after a game.

But he's never done well as a 9.

He's been tried as a number 9 several times down the years and it's rarely if ever worked.

I remember a lot of times when he's had poor games in that role but I do seem to recall him playing there in EtH's first season and scoring consistently. We're just not doing well with Hojlund or Zirkzee in that role so an argument can be made that we have got nothing to lose at this point by trying it.

No he didn't. Eriksen didn't put his arm out for a fist-bump, but clearly said something to the guy as acknowledgment for his praise.

Rashford, simply rude and miserable. Nothing we didn't already know.

Both Rashford and Garnacho deserve plenty of criticism, but exactly zero percent of that should be directed at how they react to bellend TikTokers shoving mics and/or cameras in their faces.

The idea that he should start up front because he'll suddenly be good for Amorim is hilarious. Like he's suddenly going to stop meandering around looking disinterested and become the next Haaland.

Amorim generally dislikes lazy players so hopefully he'll get rid asap.

We thought the same about Ten Hag, Rashford was his guy though...

When managers come to United, they seem to lose all their principles and style and rely on players like Rashford.

Rashford needs to go, yes. But this is an incredibly stupid video.
Copying the Moose off talksport. It is cringe. Marcus needs to leave in the summer for his own sake but he and the other players should be better protected by the club.

He could also just perform at a more reasonable 15-ish goals in the league level. We need to move on of course but we also need solutions until we get rid.

I'll concede that he couldn't be worse than Zirkzee in that role so it could be an option to use him there interchangeably with Hojlund until we bring in a decent, recognised centre forward.

But I don't want a situation where Ineos say "why do we need another centre forward, Rashford can play there?"! That's just simply not a long term option!

Isn’t the reality that ETH had a season where he played with some sort of structure and the team was capably set up? In that formation, Rashford delivered both from the LW and when played as CF.

In season 2, ETH changed shape which somehow managed to leave us both without a midfield when defending and with our forwards isolated. In that system, Rashford struggled (as did our entire forward line). This season has been slightly better but a lot of the problems have persisted.

ETH and other managers have used Rashford because he’s one of our best players. If he fails to produce in a properly set up team, I’m sure he will be moved on.

I've always found Adam (the guy in the Rashford video) to be a fairly-level head fan who is pretty diplomatic in his criticism of players (I could've done without his editorializing here - just show the players interacting/not interacting and let people draw their own conclusions.) Faz (the guy in the Garnacho video) is an attention-starved cretin who likes to spout nonsense such as the fans being in civil war after the West Ham game. Utter, utter clown.
