Italy on loan is the best option in terms of his career.

Juve, multiyear year loan offer incoming.

No money up front, Utd pay all his wages, expenses and bonuses, Juve have an optional purchase price of €1.

If Amorim does put him on the pitch some time soon.... I'll be watching his application. If there's a reaction I will not be part of the inevitable pile on. I still want him to turn it around.... Sad the way it seems to be ending.

Don't think there's a United fan about that didn't/doesn't want Marcus to succeed for us, but it's just not happened. Blame work ethic, blame chopping and changing of managers, chopping and changing of systems - it's clear he'll probably do better to move on and thrive somewhere else.

Could have been a generational talent in a stable team and environment, which is sad. Do think he would have been amazing under Fergie's tutelage and protection. The whole business is a massive shame all around.

His attitude and demeanour are shocking and have been for a long time I hope we can move him on. I never got over the Ireland incident last year that was enough for me to see his doesn’t give a feck.

You have to wonder who would be interested in buying him. Not because he's "bad" and "doesn't work hard enough" and all that but just the price and the wages are a huge issue.

He was never that good. United fans got carried away by the hype that he came from our youth (much like Garnacho) and that he was a pacy forward who scored some amazing goals now and again. Honestly, he's not got the technique, never has, nor the application to even be talked about as a "generational talent". When I think of such players, it's Messi, it's Kane, it's Salah, it's Maradona, Ronaldinho......etc etc Rashford has never come close to looking like he belonged in such a group.

He'd score plenty in France, Italy or Saudi. Those are the only options open to him - or maybe the MLS.

Jamie Jackson is a Tier 5 "journalist" because of shit-stirring and inaccurate articles (also on The Guardian) in the past, but people buy it hook line and sinker because it's against Rashford.

It was previously reported that we would entertain bids for pretty much all of our players in January to consider our options, but people are talking like they said only Rashford is for sale.

I feel pretty certain that unless anything else happens before the summer, Marcus will still be here next season.

There are rumors that him and Garnacho were in a certain scandalous venue in the past days. No idea what they are talking about because I'm not from Manchester but it would be pretty stupid to be out and about before a Derby is happening.

I'd be very surprised if he's sold in January, I think next summer is more likely.

It's a real shame it's ending like this, it's sad we've got to this point. I can put up with poor form but his effort levels have been shocking for years. It's completely unacceptable, I'm sick of seeing him walking around the pitch.

I do think it'd be good for everyone if he left. Maybe a new environment gets him back interested because he's looked like he hates football for a long time here.

I have accepted that we are not getting a big fee or 100% salary cover if he goes on loan. We're gonna have to eat some loss, this is just the reality, you can blame the previous leadership for the situation.

It is more important to get this distraction out of the way and set the tone and culture for the rebuild.

I saw Howson hinting at something without going into specifics. Do you have a link?

Like others have said, I do think he’ll double down and throw his toys out of the pram rather than come out fighting.

He has too many “yes men” around him. I was shocked at the discussion around him and the media trying their utmost best to turn this into Amorim vs Rashford in the post match interview, rather than being around the fantastic win.

Sadly, past managers have also pandered to him too much. Ole and ETH both considered him unstoppable no matter how shite he was.

I am loving the decisiveness with which Amorim is acting. Hopefully we manage to recoup a decent transfer fee.

One of those is not like the others.
Yeah the Italian league is second in Uefa coefficient ahead of Spain while France is distant 5th, and who knows what Saudi would be.

Also France is not an option for his wages except one club, might as well say PSG. And Italy are also not viable for wages really? There are only 4 players in the league paid over £200k a week. And I don't think Italy is necessarily slower paced and a league where you can settle off the ball either? Atalanta lead Serie A, they are nothing like that. Juve have a young side with lots of running. Inter have a few veterans alright but they don't generally take passengers.

Turn it around? He's 27 and acting and playing like a child.

He's had enough chances to turn it around.

Get 30m out of him and let him jog to the sunset.

I think pre-back injury in 2019 he was close to being a Saka level performer. Not “generational” by any means but someone that was a consistent danger man that could also provide 25-30 G/A a season in the league.

After that injury sapped his freaky explosiveness, he was never going to have the technique/footballing IQ to hit those heights. Was still productive as a runner in those counter attacking sides but he was never the same player for me.

A lot of people mention Serie A as a good fit for him, I'd love to know which specific team would welcome his workrate. Barella would eat him alive if he applied his usual effort for Inter. Do they think Motta would accept him? Conte?

Somebody show him some Rashford and Scott combination against Leeds.

Whats the venue in question?

Its a absolute joke to claim he was 'never that good'. He was a super talent that hasn't kicked on as much as we thought he would.

Legitimately embarrassing to even suggest he wasn't a very good player.

He did at one point have the application.

It's what makes it all quite sad.

Shame how things turned out, in an other scenario, we could of had Rashford Greenwood and Sancho leading out attack, three top English players, it would have been something really special. But, things don't always turn out like we would have wanted.

Could have been a generational talent in a stable team and environment, which is sad.

Don't mean to pile on here and shit on him - I really don't. I don't hate Rashford - and I have defended him on here in the past when he was unfairly criticized.

But I have always been very skeptical about how much of a "generational" talent Rashford ever was.

He's a good player - a PL level player - of that there is no doubt and the sheer numbers do bear that out (in his good seasons - he suffers from a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde syndrome on the whole).

But - generational talent? I really don't think so. He certainly wasn't considered as such back in the day. And he hasn't actually done anything since LVG turned him into a first team player (the circumstances there are, of course, interesting in themselves) to back up the idea that he's a generational talent.

To be clear - when I hear "generational talent", I'm thinking of someone like Wayne Rooney - that sort of ballpark.

Rashford has never shown any signs of being anywhere near that level. And I don't think he ever had the raw talent for it in the first place: he obviously would've done better under Fergie in a hypothetical dream world...but that goes for all of 'em, surely.

He wasn't a very good player though, he was a very effective player on his day or during a purple patch in a counter attacking system that utilized his pace. He was never consistent enough to be a very good player, and has been allowed to serve up months and months of dire form and lack of effort, pretty much role playing as a top United player because we were desperate for one as a club.

I reckon it’ll be a January loan with no wages covered to someone like Ipswich in the hope he keeps them up and raises his profile for a summer sale.

What in the world? Why would one of the best left wingers in the world go to Ipswich? I mean, fine if people want rid of him, but have some vague appreciation of the level of player we are talking about.

If we want to loan Rashford on the basis we cover all his wages then more or less every single club in Europe would be interested. It’s a complete no-brainer with no downside if he doesn’t produce. The only thing that will put teams off loaning him would be if we want his wages covered or if there’s some significant underlying personal issue which we are unaware of.

Did he do something drastic behind the scenes to warrant such a response from the club?

I won't say it's undeserved but certainly more severe than previous.

Id assume hes been given some kind of ultimatum from the club and its gone in one ear and out the other. Seems theyve just had enough of him
