Bundesliga, DFB Cup, and other Bundesliga business 2014/2015

At least today, you should support Hamburg though. Or would you prefer if Dortmund missed the Europa League spots?

Not really, but I won´t stoop that low to hope for Hamburg of all clubs to help us qualify. We still play with Hoffenheim and Bremen our biggest competion in the rest of the season and can qualify without relying on other clubs. I also have a soft spot for Augsburg.

Ref Weiner is slowly losing his plot in the game. Madlung´s foul on Kuba was borderline red and now Zambrano (one of the biggest cúnts in the Bundesliga) gets away with murder vs. Aubameyang.

I can't believe what is happening at the Imtech Arena
I thought we're back to Volksparkstadion since Kühne bought the naming rights and made the fans the gift of giving the original name back?

I think I argued recently that Petersen is shit. Maybe I should actually change my mind about him.

Bayern Munich
Starting XI: Neuer - Rode, Boateng, Dante, Weiser - Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Gaudino - Müller, Lewandowski, Götze
Bench: Reina, Bernat, Martinez, Alonso, Thiago, Kurt, Pizarro
5 spanish players on the bench
But good to see Martinez is back.

9 Germans in the starting line-up though, that's pretty cool.

14 players from the two best National teams in the last generation. It's no coincidence Bayern are such a strong club.

But it does not mean that he is match fit. Pep did this with Thiago in February, too, when he started his team training. Let him be on the bench to "smell" the matches again.

Pizza and Reina are the best cheerleaders with the most enthusiasm. Alonso, too, when on the bench. There you can see that they really "arrived" in Munich and in the team.

The Bayern players are the key players in the German team.

And in my eyes Thiago (I might be biased), when he stays fit, will be the key player in the spanish team. He just shows that he is a level above the other young midfield talents. And you can see that he is a big game player in the same mold Müller is. He has something - he is not just tricks - but he brings emotions and fighting spirit in it.

That is true. It is very similar to how Barcelona had the core of the Spanish National side when they both were at the absolute peak of their powers.

Would like to see Kurt instead of Weiser. The latter clearly doesn't have a future here but Kurt may yet surprise us.

It's a bit odd that Weiser plays so much despite the fact that we don't offer him a new contract. Maybe Pep actually likes him and wants to keep him?

Weird indeed, but I can't see why he'd like him so much. He tries hard and works a lot but I just don't see it happening.

Very glad about Gaudino getting a bit more matches, though. Something about him makes me dream.

Dante  Even without pressure he's a disaster waiting to happen.

Neuer

What was Dante doing? He totally fecked up there, didn't he? Please let Benatia be fit for the CL semifinals :nervous:.

It really is astounding how much Dante has fallen off in the last year. Half the player he used to be.

Weiser
That looked like Götze the way he used to play...
And a nice finish by Schweinsteiger.

Schweini :D Awesome from Weiser, maybe we should give him a new contract.

Good stuff from Weiser and nicely finished by Schweinsteiger.

Dante is driving me nuts. We're fecked if he starts against Barca.

Paderborn 2-0 up against Bremen . And Hamburg is back in 17th place. Wonderful.

2:1

The relegation fight seems to get really exciting. Especially when the result stays like this. In the European ranks it right now looks more like - who does not want to get into...

14 Freiburg 30
15 Paderborn 30
16 Hannover 29
17 Hamburg 28
18 Stuttgart 27

4 matches to go...

Freiburg: Paderborn (H), Hamburg (A), Bayern (H), Hannover (A)
Paderborn: Freiburg (A), Wolfsburg (H), Schalke (A), Stuttgart (H)
Hannover: Wolfsburg (A), Bremen (H), Augsburg (A), Freiburg (H)
Hamburg: Mainz (A), Freiburg (H), Stuttgart (A), Schalke (H)
Stuttgart: Schalke (A), Mainz (H), Hamburg (H), Paderborn (A)

Interesting is that they have a lot of duels with each other...

The match ended 2:2 - so it is:

16 Hamburg GD -27 / 28 points
17 Paderborn GD -31 / 28 points
18 Stuttgart GD -21 / 27 points
