You must know that we were lied to by both sides.
Serious question: What do you think the lies were that Remain told, interested to know.

Okay, you've explained desperate Tories voting against principles to cling to power. I understand that.
What about the 10 votes she paid £1bn for?
She literally is the turd that won't flush. All a bit absurd, isn't it? Half her own party voting against her Brexit proposals, showing they quite clearly don't trust her to implement Brexit...but also somehow cool for her to continue on as leader. Pretty much in deadlock.
To piss the hardcore Brexiteers off she should just go full-on soft Brexit, stay in the single market and customs union. Wind em up if nothing else.
The great question. How would you have played it?
Does the Brexit fiasco/clusterf* still compare favorably to the current US government?
Good lord you lot really are (wilfully?) naive about the DUP.In a coalition of the left I’m pretty sure there would be a good chance likes of the SNP, Plaid, Green, would be making demands on Labour.
What was the alternative with the Tories being largest party at the last election? It was on them to try and form a government.
A billion quid. Sounds like a lot but in gvmt terms it isn’t really. And it’s not like the DUP intend pissing it up the wall. They intend on spending it to the betterment of NI, and I for one don’t begrudge them seeing as they effectively fought a civil war over there for over 30 years.

Catch a grip.
Ian Paisley, founder of the DUP was one of the reasons the place went to the complete dogs in the first place.

Ok DUP deal:
£50m Mental Health over 5 years
£100m Health & Education over 2 years
£100m “Severe Deprivation” over 5 years
£150m Broadband infrastructure over 2 years
£200m Health over 2 years
£400m General Infrastructure over 2 years.
What’s not to like?
How would you have played it?
You choosing not to read it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.By having some sort of position over Brexit in the last 12 months Corbyn came up with nothing and continues to do so .

As a distant observer the feeling I get is that the current impasse can not be broken and thus the UK will just crawl itself to and dully fall from the edge of the no deal cliff. Is this a correct assessment?
Any $$$$ is welcome to the public purse from a Tory government that have tried to kill as many public services as possible over the past number of years... Will we ever see the fruits of the promised £1b? Let's wait and see....
I was more so pointing out your comment about the DUP fighting a civil war for 30 years
Who can single handedly cancel Brexit ? Surely the only thing that can happen by inaction is no deal. That's how A50 is supposed to work.I can only see a no Brexit end to all of this and hopefully any future government will never again let people vote for something they know nothing about
No confidence = election and new Tory leader, and none of them want the job right now because they know the situation is fecked. All a bit absurd, isn't it? Wow that's a load of nonsense. The DUP have zero and I repeat zero interest in doing anything for the better of Northern Ireland. Their whole strategy is to keep their supporters in constant fear they will lose everything. They are not going to suddenly start throwing money around making their lives better
I'm absolutely sure the creationist, anti abortionist, sectarian, former terrorist, hard right bible literalists of the DUP will use that money to the betterment of NI.No my comment about the “civil war” wasnt aimed at blaming any faction for it but was hinting at the negative economic effects of the troubles and I was concluding that the DUP’s deal (irrespective of political allegiances) can only be a good thing for NI.
I’ve come up with the hard figures promised by HM Government. What have you got?
So what are the DUP going to do with their billion quid then? Spend it all on propaganda?
No confidence = election and new Tory leader, and none of them want the job right now because they know the situation is fecked.
Just wait until after the deadline and we'll see the weasels like Johnson and JRM scurry about demanding another vote of no confidence.
But it's the parliament that has the authority to cancel it , unless I am mistaken and the PM can do it as well however that appears extremely unlikely to me. And if it's the people 's representatives that are the only ones to do it, then it would appear to be defying 'the will of the people' if they do it without a second referendum. It can be cancelled and most likely will as Noone will ever get their version through and there is very little support for a no deal .
Just seen May's speech and, basically, she can go feck herself.
Ok so he says he suports the deal, he gets ripped to shreds.By having some sort of position over Brexit in the last 12 months Corbyn came up with nothing and continues to do so .
She's absolutely useless. Sick to death from this incompetent fool.
