I think the lifting of the ban is something independent of the Japan trade deal but i could be wrong.
Strong & stableJust got an interesting email at work this morning asking for volunteers to work in filling stations in the event of fuel shortages to ensure fuel is only distributed to organisations providing key functions, essentially emergency vehicles and healthcare workers.

Fecking hell. You’re in Norn Iron, right?
Who has sent the emails?Yeah. This is the second email in a month or so asking for volunteers to work in the event of various types of possible disruption.
Who has sent the emails?
I wonder what consultation they've had with the petrol station companies and how they intend to ensure the safety of the volunteers in the face of thousands of angry people wanting fueld. You could reply and ask them, let us know.A local government department.
And it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Was just a freight train coming your way
Corbyn talks drivel and the pound starts falling again.
Corbyn said nothing. A press conference at a time like this and he said absolutely nothing, except he will 'call for a general election' eventually. How he hopes to win an election that would basically be about Brexit when he has no policies on Brexit is beyond me.
Anything that extends this mess spooks business to be fair. They'd rather the certainty (relatively) of Mays deal over another year or two of discussion and debate.
EU net migration to the UK is down from 189,000 (in the year before the referendum), to 74,000 (in the year to June 2018), which is great news if you're racist/xenophobic. Unfortunately for EDL-type wankers, non-EU net migration is up to 248,000 per year, its highest level since 2004.

I would imagine that is because as many pointed out, the UK needs migrant workers! What the xenophobes don't seem to appreciate is that simple economics dictates that economic migrates don't move to economies with no opportunities and vice versa!
I really think a basic lesson in the difference between an EU economic migrant, a non-EU economic migrant and an asylum-seeker/illegal immigrant/refugee would see the Leave vote lose 5-10%
(Note: before someone posts it...no I'm not saying ALL Leave voters are xenophobic/racist...feel like you have to caveat everything these days!)

After Brexit how many hoops must I spring through if for example I want to visit my Mum in the UK seeing as I have to travel through Germany and Holland.
Hopefully after Brexit the EU will do some form of pass for people so that they can as now travel freely through the European countries.
This clusterf**k known as Brexit really is laughable, today I got a reply from the Auslanderbehörde (Office for Foreigners)
Sehr geehrter Herr ,
leider ist uns auch noch nicht bekannt, wie es aufenthaltsrechtlich mit britischen Staatsangehören nach der endgültigen Trennung weitergeht.
Ich denke, dass das auch Thema bei den derzeitigen Verhandlungen ist.
Which basically says that they dont have a clue what will happen to those with a British pass after Brexit and whether they can live and work in Germany, slowly I am getting very pi***d off with the inaptitude from British politicians from all party's as well as those from the EU who simply play with the livelihoods and lives of both European people in the UK and vice versa with those from British people living in the EU.
The British or a number of these people need to climb down from their high horse because Britain I wont call it Great Britain because it doesn't deserve that name anymore and those days are long gone as do a number in the EU.

I'd have hoped that Germany at the very least would have been as proactive as The Netherlands and even faster than Italy in assuring that UK citizens with Residency will have no problems in staying and accessing all of the previous health and social services. This clusterf**k known as Brexit really is laughable, today I got a reply from the Auslanderbehörde (Office for Foreigners)

Labour with gritted teeth.Who would you guys vote for in a GE before Brexit?

Luckily got the SNP up here so would stick with them. Not that they've necessarily done anything remarkable but would probably be the easiest choice I've had to make.
Can you, or someone else with the knowledge, give a brief update on how the different Brexit scenarios could impact/trigger/hinder another Scottish referendum? If it's even possible to answer.
