Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
I really do think Farage is the “former European MP” that Mueller has evidence on and will implicate or indict soon.

Definitely. He's also visited Assange so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets wrapped up in the Mueller report.

It's a disgrace we have to depend on the American justice system to bring our politicians to account. A fecking disgrace.

It's become clear American laws work a lot better than ours. Those cnuts made a mockery of parliament last week.

Tories making headway this morning with their "£600m a week for the NHS" - obvious bollocks and even more obvious bollocks some are linking it to a 'Brexit windfall'. Still it's generated some decent coverage for them today. Not as good as waving at people in a field would have got them but we can't all be masters of political spin, I guess. How the leader of the opposition challenges this will be interesting, hopefully arguing that Brexit will mean even less money for public services, not more. I guess when he makes his next public appearance in a couple of weeks he can raise that.

Labour are in a worse position politically with the voters than the Tories about Brexit. A large proportion of their traditional voters are Leave voters and the press will likely cause a scandal if Labour resist, then the Tories and the press will shift the blame to them as 'saboteurs'.
I'd say that they appear to be accepting that we are leaving the EU, and just want to get out of the way for the above reasons.

If Labour ever want those working class white votes back killing Brexit will be terminal- though I suspect that they are gone forever now anyway.

I say that as someone who wishes the result was different as it is folly- it is likely going to be a self inflicted economic disaster, a self-immolation in terms of political influence or both.

I wouldn't waste your breath Oscie et al spent months on here saying Corbyn and his team needed to focus on political manoeuvring to keep the masses and papers on side but have done a 180 since.

Now suddenly they want him to kill the party for a fruitless attempt to stop brexit.

Disagree. Think Labour have a huge bearing on what kind of brexit we have and the votes in parliament prove it.
Anyway it's a pointless argument now as we are past that.

It's probably linked to the devaluation in Sterling now meaning the NHS need more funding to import medicine and equipment, so I guess it is related to Brexit.

You can't expect the press to report neutrally, May dropped Leveson 2 and Corbyn wants to raise their taxes.

It's the usual suspects saying Brexit windfall. That's some would believe that shite is a bit of a joke.
The spending would still be below average levels.

Kill the party? You know I have some sympathy (not a lot, but some) for the argument that opposing Brexit would have been politically perilous. I think there’s a stronger counter argument, but at least I see where people are coming from.

But Labour aren’t just not opposing Brexit. They’re being told they have to abstain on votes that have no effect on Brexit actually happening, but that just force a softer Brexit. So what are we supposed to think, when Labour appear to be just as eager as the Tories to slam shut the doors and push us into what increasingly looks like being the hardest possible of Brexits?

These people have no regard for the truth.
Who votes for these cnuts?

Yeah, but the real issue is obviously that Oscie likes banging on about Corbyn and not the fact that there are a ton of Corbyn supporting Labour remainers in the CE forum cupping their hands over their ears and repeating 'this is fine' whenever Corbyn whips his MPs to support a policy that they think is utterly ruinous.

“and we as a country will be contributing a bit more”. Really Theresa? Gosh, I wonder where this money might be coming from?

Tories - the party of low taxes and increasing taxes. Wait a minute....

If it works it, it further confirms that's Boris and condint really believe in Brexit, but just optics. How can something that is not true be a win?
I'm tired of politics.

They want people to be tired of politics, then they can get away with anything they like.

They get away with anything they like already, 17.4 million believed all the lies two years ago, and most of them still believe them now.

Truth is not important. Just tell people what they want to hear and see how long you can get away with it.

It's not about burying heads in the sand i think everyone accepts brexit is a shit show, we just think its happening no matter what and Labour falling on its sword for the sake of trying isn't going to help anyone.

There's plenty of other channels actively pushing for soft brexit. Labour doing so for me will just bolster brexit sentiment when the papers spent months shouting traitors.

Have to image some sort of referendum on a United Ireland might be possible in the future. The worry in the short term is that people over here(England)won't give that much of a shit if there ends up being a border put up again in the North.
We won't give a shit until bombs start going off again over here.

Now that's the truth.

If May is defeated tomorrow it's hard to see where she goes from there. The government's position is that it would tie its own hands going into the negotiation, so if the government finds the prospect of that unacceptable then it surely will find the reality unacceptable too.

The meaningful votes amendment went 324-298 last week with only 2 rebels voting against the government.

Funnily enough, this is how tories responded in december when parliament voted for a final vote on the deal

What would be shameful is if Labour enabled the Tories to win the vote. Frank Field with his deluded views and righteous nonsense will give the Tories absolute power to screw us over.

Meanwhile, the government has awarded another contract to Capita despite assigning it the highest risk rating. This country's seriously becoming a joke.

It's reassuring to see the BBC is focussing on international issues at this point as well, while the country's going to the dogs.

Labour has consistently voted in favour of the amendment and will do so again tomorrow.
