Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

The EU is weak, no chain of events need to happen. Look at the economic performance of the EU over the past 10 years. If a chain of events follow on from and in the of vein Brexit the EU will be finished completely within 5-10 years.

I would bet you now that the pound won't become worth less than the Euro and UK won't even enter recession in the next 5 years, unless a recession on a global scale occurred.
Weird you say that, because the bigger economies in EU are still performing decently well over the last 2-3 years. Should the pro EU contenders survive (Macron, Merkel, etc), the EU will be fine.

Can this not be a police/discrimination matter?

A short transitional deal is great for the EU. No sudden obstacles to EU-UK exports and plenty of time to hoover up jobs and investment whilst uncertainty about the UK's future trade deal hangs over it.
Definitely. Even better would be them not negotiating on the transitional deal until other matters are agreed (I believe they may have stated this?), forcing investment to move as soon as possible if the prospect of a cliff edge looks even remotely possible. What a fecking shitshow.

Love some of these deluded old timers .Excited that this is going to put a end to all these foreigners coming over here taking our shops.

If you look at how often people replied here, you can see that 4 people posted far more often than the rest. 3 of these 4 posters just repeat the same statement over and over again without adding any other content to their message. You are entitled to post how you wants, but that can become quite annoying, especially when it is done in a very patronising tone.

Additionally I agree with @Don't Kill Bill that his posts hardly echos the message, that he wants this to be a success. This comment is also spot on:

You are probably one of the most patronising posters on here so pot , kettle and black come to mind. Are people limited under the new regime as to how many times people can post?

Please give an example when I wished ill on the UK. As I intend to spend the rest of my life in France which hopefully will remain in the EU, I hope the EU does prosper and is more important than if the UK does. If I had wished the UK ill then I would have been pro-Brexit, makes zero sense.

As a side note out of the top 4 posters, 3 of us don't live in the UK - 2 of us aren't British and the top poster, Stan, totally disagrees with my point of view but that doesn't pose a problem to me.

Or I could do the other trick and post reams and reams of text replying to multiple posts in one post and that would get my post count down.

I wonder what drives May on this, she doesn't believe its the right path to take so i can only imagine its the attraction of power and leading an historic moment. Maybe she just wants to 'win'.

I hope she feels a sense of shame when she parrots views to the public she doesn't believe.
It's worth saying that when May was at the home office the motto was “No-one likes us, we don’t care”(The same quote Millwall fans used).

So I doubt it.

I love that 'We should always put our citizens first.' is point 2 on the list of 'Proposed principles'.

"The Republic of Ireland is the only country in the EU the UK shares a land border with".... pretty sure you can catch a train to France :)

Reading May's letter after reading this post is quite amusing. I can't help but interpret the 'On the contrary, the United Kingdom wants the European Union to succeed and prosper. Instead, the referendum was a vote to restore, as we see it, our national self-determination' line as a, look we both know this isn't true, but someones going to release this letter.

Wonder what she's said in private in those referenced talks.

I assume 'White dog shit' came in at no.8.

Why does anyone care about lightbulbs?
Its a pretty pitiful list really. Bring back pounds and ounces - is that kind of trivial crap what people were desperate to get back?

They also want corporal punishment in schools and the death penalty. I have a colleague of mine whose surname is Tudor. Considering that most want to drag the UK in medieval times, I should ask him if he's interested to become King of England while at it.

No choice for the monarch being given real power? Restore the Empire? Ruling the Seas?

Imagine the mental gymnastics we'd see if there was a monarch with absolute power who rejoined the EU.

Would be almost as good as 'I'm voting to leave the EU because of the principal of parliamentary sovereignty, BUT HOW DARE PARLIAMENT GET A VOTE ON THIS'.

Despite not having received permission to post from the Poster Police and the Anti-Free Speech lobby, I will add my twopenny worth.

Why does it say "His Excellency Mr Donald Tusk" at the bottom

Also why does May use "we" so much as if instructing the EU how to proceed on the matter

Yeah I was thinking of that. Supporting parliamentary sovereignty until they realise parliamentary sovereignty isn't going their own way.

The only way the £ will be close or stronger than the € is if Brexit starts a chain of events which weaken the EU. Get ready for the big boys to start pulling out of London.

I agree with CM. Brexiters talk about how the pound was overvalued pre brexit (to negate the responsibility of the weakening).

But without German exports, would the Euro drop even 50%?

"Lexit" folk are weirder than their rightwing equivalents.

This isn't going to end well for anyone is it? You know the lunatics have taken total control of the asylum when the voice of Ed bacon-face Miliband echos in your head. Should never have had this referendum.
