I'm really happy to see Amad finally getting his opportunity and taking it with both hands. Credit to Amorim for trusting him to play an important role in his system
And credit to Ole for signing him. Had to get game time elsewhere but came back fighting. One of the first names on the team sheet now

The way some people were talking about this guy only a year ago, you'd have thought he was never going to make it at this level, nevermind at United. Bizarre how nobody could see his immense talent because of his size. Incredible goal he scored today and it wasn't a fluke, he just has that top level instinct that we see in the top top players.

So what do we reckon, first name in the 10 position now? Or continue as a WB in games we see more of the ball. Have to admit I like him at wing back as he sees the ball often in space.

fecking Amad, what a little player he is. And you get the feeling this is really only the beginning, there is so much more to come from him. He’s probably been our best player this season, and he’s been asked to play several different positions, and yet he always does so to a high standard, no matter where you put him.

What gets me about this little fella is that he is probably the best player in the squad with the ball at his feet…..he’s goes past people with ease….but he’s also one of the best without the ball too. His pressing is absolutely top notch, both in workrate (he’s indefatigable) and intelligence (he knows when and how to press and when not to), and he’s constantly helping with teamwork and tactical discipline.

Both goals are all him. He runs to the very end, no matter what, and has that mentality of not accepting defeat, no matter the circumstance. Amorim is going to absolutely love him, if he doesn’t already. I fully expect us to sign a couple of wingbacks/wingers/wide midfielders in the near future, and to see Amad be a permanent fixture as the right sided 10. Him, Mainoo and Ugarte are 22, 19 and 23 respectively, and will likely form 3/4 of that central quartet. It’s a really strong platform to build on. Martinez, De Ligt and Yoro, 26, 25 and 19, is almost and equally strong platform for the defence to be built on, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us bring in Inacio or Diomande this summer.

Last minute winner vs Liverpool, last minute winner vs City.

Really like Amad, hopefully he just keeps getting better, he's a quality little player.

People were seriously putting him into the same category as Pellistri.

Considering the timing, difficulty, and importance, Amad has had three goals which I will remember long, against AC Milan, FA cup against Liverpool, and this one.

Loved how Amorim spoke about him in the presser. He’s doing well but needs to keep working hard and we have to be careful not to make the same mistakes we did with other young players who hit form.

Have a feeling he’ll excel under Amorim.

I personally hope we consider which he prefers and if its the 10, play him there but contunue to be open to either starting him or moving him out onto the wing. He gets to see more of the ball and use his pace running at players more often from RWB and in certain games that might be what gets us the points. Against City we saw what he can offer more from the 10 role - pressing defenders and making more runs in behind, which resulted in our 2 goals.

They absolutely loved him in Sunderland and couldn't understand why he wasn't getting more game time with us.
He has always had magic, but he's flattered to deceive at times too. He's found consistency and more importantly, he's staying fit.

Spot on!

This lad is a genuine superstar. Get him signed up to a multi year contract asap.

Seeing him kiss the badge at the end gave me a semi.

Bring back Eth just so we can sack him for this :D

But seriously glad to have a smart footballer in our side and actually being used as such

What a performance.

He might be my favorite player at the club. His graft and technique are great to watch.

Amad needs to be the face of the club, not the social media whores like rashford and garnacho

Winning goals against Liverpool and Man City already. Not a bad way to become a fan favorite.

He's so fun to watch as well. His technique is effortless and he can just glide past players with close control and body feints. I don't even think it matters all that much, whether he is at RWB or AM - can be situational from game to game. As long as he gets involved around the box, he will create something.

The goal itself was difficult technically. Lobbing Ederson in a jump after a high pass, and then he had to put it in between the defenders from a difficult angle

Also shout-out to Gvardiol thinking backheeling the ball off the line is the correct play

Still remember when Alejandro Papu Gomez was in awe of him at Atalanta. Said he’s a generational player like Messi and goes past players like they aren’t there and what not.

It's too simple to compare him to Messi because he's tiny and he's left footed and he moves in a similar fashion but if he ends up half as good then we've got something incredible.

Boys got the mentality for it which is something the rest of the squad combined don't.

Then we get someone who’s in the top 10 ever :)
