Amad is a very intelligent player, it's one of his biggest strengths.

Personally I'd rather see him continue to be more aggressive himself. His tendency as a player has always been to combine and "make the right pass" and I think he can always find that again, but I'd rather him try to continue developing his directness and scoring instincts because that's what will take him from a nice tidy player into a true monster ultimately. It'll result in occassional missed opportunities to put it on a plate maybe but I think it’s easier to dial back aggressiveness on a player like him as opposed to one that doesn’t have natural feel and vision for the right pass/decision.

It's what can happen to a player when your entire team begins to rely on you.

Could've been better at times with his decision making but also feel he could've had a bit of luck also, so many nearly moments. We had so many shots blocked today and nothing fell our way it felt like.
 
A lot is being made of his greediness this evening but he was good through our and towards the end was clearly desperate to score against a club that set him back.
 
He was robbed off two assists (one was an actual goal, the other Garnacho hit the post). Would’ve changed the whole “low IQ greediness” talk.
 
Yeah, don’t forget he is playing 2 completely different roles to help the balance of this team. I can see the havoc this right side is going to cause in the near future with a new RWB switching with him during the game.
 
He is such a class footballer. His technique is absolutely brilliant. With a proper 9 he would be lethal on the right
 
He left his shooting boots at home tonight, but another good game. Shame a few others didn’t have his confidence as I think a number of our other young players have lost theirs.

Yep, great corners and got robbed of an assist by the ref. Also Garnacho should have really scored that chance where he hit the post, would have been 2 assists right there

It’s the thing that every young player who suddenly gets hype goes through. They start off playing more passes and then once they start scoring and everything seems to go right they start forcing it and believing that maybe they are better than they are.
 
Such a great player and I liked that he and Garnacho put constant pressure on them through the ranks. Shame he could not convert his chance from that Bruno goal

One of his worst performances, especially that first half. Second half at least I saw him work hard and recover quite a few balls, but to me he looks absolutely spent. Played all 4 games in the past 10 days with no subs, I wanna see him rested on Thursday.

Too bad about the offside at the end by the way, would have been another lovely goal

Yea just needs a rest in my opinion. Couldn't really get in the game. Still that would have been a great goal if it wasn't given as offside.
 
Shame about that goal being disallowed. Thought he needed that today. Wasn't his best game, and we badly need better attacking/bench options to rotate him.
 
Needs a rest, still looked neat and tidy on the ball for the most part and was unlucky about that half inch offside, took the goal well.
 
Needs a rest. Sadly, you can't exactly sub him off given that he usually scores after the 80th minute... so the only real option is not to start him and it's so hard to do that nowadays.

That goal was filthy, I was so disappointed to see that he was offside.

Most of his best games came from RWB under Amorim, it still remains to be seen where his long term position lies.
 
Would prefer him at RWB. Would enable us to play Bruno further forward and not play one of Dalot or Mazrouai who have both been pretty ineffective going forward of late, except for Dalot at Anfield, but that wad against the worst RB defensively in the land.
 
He (we) desperately need another outlet. He's isolated and doubled up more often than not.

An actual wing back would make a massive difference.
 
Amad needs a 9 to work with. What a massive upgrade on Rashford — remember that guy? — he has proven to be.
 
Can only beg people not to ruin this one like they did Rashford. So much in a hurry to put him in the forward line and make him the main man. Let him learn his chops as a deeper player. He's already a star in his role getting the ball forward. I don't think being a 20-30 goal, Salah/Mane type is the only career path for every promising youngster.
 
Said it before, we desperately need to get a 10 this window, more than a WB. Amad can't play 90 minutes every game. If he or Bruno is injured, our season is over.
 
Every time he gets the ball, teams double up on him and apply pressure. Same as Garnacho, teams are aware.

I noticed he gets the ball too deep and passes it back on the counter. Mind you this was the whole team yesterday, too defensive attackers isolated.

On another note, Fulham’s left back looked solid. The commentary kept saying he was outdoing Amad one on one ignoring they were doubling up on him. Bias commentary

I can never forget the fact that ETH constantly overlooked him and played Antony ahead of him. Indeed, slightly off topic, but ETH also played Antony and Wout Weghorst (who is now scoring for Ajax, which just underlines how poor the Dutch league is) ahead of Elanga. Elanga has now total PL goals and assists more then Hojlund, Weghort, Antony and Zirkzee together. He cost us zero, ETH spent c£170m on his strikers plus wages.

So many loose touches, poor once again today. He's now regressed to performing to the level of the team sadly.

Yea it was a poor game and I'm a big fan but our best moments usually come from him.

If he plays in the AM position he needs a RWB who plays higher up and pitch to play those one twos with.
 
He’ll be suffering a bit from the fact that defenders and analysts have had enough time to figure him out now.

I still have this nagging feeling that his ceiling is lower than being a starting attacker for a top club, but we’re so far off being a top club that it’s pointless worrying about it.

As an AM he needs players to play one twos with. Towards the end of the game you could see him trying that with Bruno. I think we also see it a bit with Mainoo.

Since we are lacking that kind of player he is probably more effective at the moment as RWB where he can get into space to run at the defence from deep.

I still feel he has the talent to be a top player but he is surrounded by so much dross and is probably looking worse as a result of it.
