I’m really trying to resist the temptation to quote a bunch of dross from some in here to rub it in their faces. Not going to bring negativity on this day!
Yeah l can do some if that for you and this is only the first few pages;

""Although I’m not convinced he’s the answer, I’d rather we commit to him for 5-10 games or so RW"

"Amad looks talented and I hope he gets more chances next season, but to say he deserves to start ahead of those two is ridiculous. Ahead of Antony and what he's shown, then yeah I would definitely start Amad, but he has to do a lot more to oust Rashford and Garnacho"

"Agreed. How is it not clear to everyone that Garnacho has been our 1st choice RW for months now"?

Like l said the first few pages and there is more slanderous material that my eyes had the displeasure of reading. Absolutely mental you have Sunderland fans on here telling you he's the best thing they've ever seen and people can't disect his game and wonder why.

I love Amad and am no fan of ETH but from what I understand the one good thing ETH did was he looked after Amad and helped his development and recovery from injury.

He didn't "keep him out of the team" as much as slowly integrated him in whilst Amad worked on recovery and fitness. Something to do with injury and lack of preseason.

Could he have risked him more? Possibly but I recall reading even Amad being grateful rather than frustrated by not playing. I think even Rubin has said ETH handled Amad well and thanks him for it.

Generally super today, great control for the finish. Needs to work on his offside a bit, but I’m sure they will.

100%. An elite talent that we should have began to bed into the first team the minute he entered the door.

Instead he barely played his first year and a half spending lots of time in the u21s, got sent on 2 unceccesary loans then had a season that was a complete write off in terms of development as he barely got a chance.

It's a testament to his attitude that despite being completely mismanaged for the better part of 4 seasons by the club, he still put his head down and worked.
The loan at Sunderland got his confidence back ( after a poor spell at Rangers )
He was brilliant for Sunderland and dare I say it us for him as well-not sure it was unnecessary?
Delighted for him

Yeah. His two dutch managers somehow just don't suit Amad.

I think Mowbray needs to be given a lot of credit. Taught him to be more aggressive going forward and having an end product ie more goals.

It was a good loan but my point was he shouldn't have been in a position where he was getting loaned out to the Championship 2 years into his career at the club. By that point we should have already integrated him into the first team and he should have been at minimum a squad player. Particularly when you consider the right wing has been a problem area for us since Valencia moved to fullback....

I think him and Antony have a bit of chemistry. I'd like to see a bit more of both of them on one side.

Diallo is our best player. So good on the ball and works as hard as anyone

ETH should get sacked from his next club even, just for how he treated Amad.

My breaking point with ETH was last season when he seem to just refuse to play Amad. He has clearly been our best technical player and yet...
If EtH was still here you bet he will be asking for a transfer over the coming summer.

Still think our bald genius also mishandled Hannibal.
Same here. Those of us who know, know.
Look, Hannibal is not pulling trees at Burnley and still plays like he's 18 (or has actually regressed) but the boy had unreal talent and I feel with he would have developed so much differently in different circumstances.

Him and Amad had attributes we were sorely lacking in the first team but EtH mismanaged both horribly and Hannibal has unfortunately not recovered.
It's scary how much a manager can derail a player and I'm so happy for Amad that he's come through that nonsense - Forson, Mazraoui, all of that, it made absolutely no sense.

Where is @Adnan?? Must be so pleased

If I'm a club owner interviewing Ten Hag for a manager's job, my first question would be "why was Amad Diallo not a regular starter in your teams?"

Worse than that, he often didn't feature at all under Ten Hag.

And it's not as if he was a troublemaker with a bad attitude, the guy's been a consummate professional throughout.

Inexplicable.
My first question would be "what are you doing here? Security, please escort this man from the premises at once."

I love that he's not only a fantastic talent but also seems like a good lad and has his head screwed the right way. Hope he has great career with us.

He spent barely any time in the U21s.

That first example doesn't sound unreasonable, to be fair. The poster was basically saying "not totally convinced yet but he should be given a chance".

Really pleased for him. I thought he had the quality to make it in the PL, it was just a case of whether he would get a proper run in the team and under a different manager. Hopefully in a well-functioning team he can flourish even more. We're still a long way away from that label applying to us. He has the talent, the work ethic and the right attitude. Just has to keep it up.

I love Amorim, watched his interview and basically said we need to keep him grounded because we've seen what happens when hyping up young players too much
Please give him a sensible contract and learn from our past mistakes.
This is key, we've seen what big money contracts have done to Rashford, Sancho, Martial etc

This kid is generational, he’s had to grind it out when sent out on loan and when left on bench he hasn’t sulked. He is currently the best player in team, he’s got that hunger and can go onto big things!!

He’s just quality and really productive. Even assisted City’s goal.

Still early days, but Antony has actually been far better than either Garnacho or Rashford so far under Amorim.

Just has that X factor that the top players have. What I love most about him too is that despite his talents he works his ass off on the pitch.

I'm really happy to see Amad finally getting his opportunity and taking it with both hands. Credit to Amorim for trusting him to play an important role in his system

He is not only really good, he is improving as well.
He will get better and better.
Just sign that new contract Amad !

Proper team player. His decision making is very good as well.

If he carries on he’ll be contender for player of the season for us. Along with Maz
