Terrible news, for us and him. I have no idea how we are going to handle this situation.

Do we blame Amorim for this? Considering how thin we are on personnel and at this critical time in the season, he lets the boys go through intense sessions resulting in not just one but four or five injuries.

Gutted for this season.

There is no way to improve fitness, tactical nous and work ethic if you dont train hard and similar to the game.

I'll be a bit contrarian in this matter, i don't think Amad is such world class as its been given, and he is losing a bit of steam and importance in the team as Ruben tenure is advancing.

Wow that’s our season properly fecked now. Best ball playing CB and best attacker out for the season.

Amorim has walked into a real mess. Hard to see any hope for the rest of the season given the state of our attackers.

Been poor the past few games, gives an opportunity for someone else to step up to the plate.
Not the end of the world.
He’s our best attacker ffs. Alongside Bruno if you consider him that. Now we have to rely on the likes of Hojlund and Zirkzee to improve tenfold.

I hope he’s fit for per season next year. Don’t want this injury to bleed into next season and impact us there too.

Have you ever really had anything positive to say about him?

Yeah I don’t get it either. He’s been the one bright spot this season. You know the fanbase is absolutely taking the piss when the narrative becomes negative after “a few games” of not tearing it up. fecking ridiculous. He’s been by far our best player this season and there’s quite literally no positive from him being injured.

Just look at how quickly “fans” turn on players. It used to be a couple of seasons, then it became only a season to go from hero to scapegoat, then it became just a few months, and now - and for a while - it’s just a few games before certain people start questioning a player’s quality and worth. These same people are calling for 17 year olds from the academy to come in and save the day, but these poor lads are like lambs to the fecking slaughter. One of them will have one bad game, and they’ll be written off as never being good enough to make it, despite being - literally - still children.

In the early days of internet fandom I remember Fletcher getting torn to shreds for not being good enough. “Painfully average” and “not good at anything” were common refrains; but less well remembered are the amount of people that questioned whether Ronaldo was good enough. After the initial hype from his first few months, there were loads of voices in his 2nd and 3rd seasons saying he had no end product, was all tricks and flicks but no delivery. After that, at a time when people were way less knee jerk and hyperbolic than today, it doesn’t even surprise me anymore to see fans turn on Amad for a few below par games.

Oh the sack Fergie, sell Ronaldo days! How I miss them!

Gutted for this season.

In seasons gone we’d blame glazers. Don’t see why now we don’t blame glazers & INEOS.

Basically we are relying on young players way too much. Even mature players burn out playing two games a week for most of the season.

Really? I don't think he's played an unusually high amount of football for us this season, or in general over the course of his career. He turns 23 this summer and only had two plus +20 game seasons in his career.

Such a shame about his injury. This and Martinez seriously feck Amorim's setup, arguably the only players to have improved as a result of the new tactics.

Blame? Do we always need to allocate blames to everything?

Sometimes shit happens. A divot in the pitch can twist an ankle badly. Or an accidental tackle due to a slip. Slipping on a patch of ice at training. Who knows.

Unless we were there, how would we know anything?

Relax guys, keep focus! We all must be aligned with Ineos vision. The priority is cost cutting! This season is a give away anyway. Rejoice guys, at the very least we know we are helping some billionaire to be richer. Glazers and Ineos appreciated the fans.

I mean, that is some proper post-Fergie United luck. A few weeks after letting both Antony and Rashford go, we lose one of the two wide forwards we have left.

In theory there's that Mount fella, but man, that doesn't feel like something one can rely on.

Maybe we'll see Dorgu there. Our one LWB.

Oh this is bad.

On the plus side, we can stop having expectations and enjoy the players hilariously trying to figure out the tactics

I am just frustrated man!

But why the heck... five first team players out, just like that?

Should have stopped them from hurting themselves further when two or three gone down already.

Now we gotta rely on just Bruno for any sort of creativity plus daddy Casemiro and Grandpa Erikson in midfield.

Not the end of the world.

Every problem is an equal and opposite opportunity for someone to step up in the way Amad has done.

Injuries are always frustrating, both for the player and for the fans.

He's just such a small lad and combined with his style of play it does make you wonder if he'll ever be a player who can put four consecutive seasons of big appearance numbers together.

Amad getting injured could make way for chido, drop Zirkzee into the 10.

Our season rests on winning the Europa this season. Our future seasons rest on winning the Europa this season as we're absolutely skint with no CL football, so we'll have no money to reshape a poor squad.

And now our best player is missing the rest of the season and it's "hilarious" that fans are frustrated, and no big deal because we can give a 19 year old his first team debut instead...

These players have been here all season and our attack has been dreadful. Why would they suddenly start performing now Amad is injured?
I’d say you’re fun to be around

Have you ever really had anything positive to say about him?
What's negative about what I said?

He's been poor the past five or so games, that is true, the injury is probably partly due to him being relied upon too much, it was clear he was running out of steam a few games ago.

It's not the end of the world, we've won games without him before, it's not like everything revolves around Amad, others players are equally capable.

One of our best players since November.

Definitely our brightest forward player...Now out for the season.

Gutted for him. Gutted for us.
