ETH should have been escprted out of Carrington in handcuffs for his treatment on Amad. Absolute criminal.

He has a top first touch and great technical skills, but you already know. Now he seems faster than last years.

Far better player than I thought he was, direct, penetrative and his tenacity is leading the team.

I wrote here over a year ago he was an unbelievable talent and just needed an opportunity and to stay injury free.

He is now getting that run and proving himself to by quite the player. Ten Hag really mismanaged him and its going to look even worse for him in the years to come.

His most underrated asset is his decision making and the weight of his passing. A world class talent we have, I've not been this excited for young player in a long time.

I’m really trying to resist the temptation to quote a bunch of dross from some in here to rub it in their faces. Not going to bring negativity on this day!
Same here. Some absolutely awful takes on this boy’s talent have been spewed here. Ridiculous agendas.

Our scouts + Murtough did a good job in finding him.

Then our pighead managers tried to ruin him, by first spending 75m (Sancho) and 80m (Antony) to try and immediately block him out and then not play him even when he was quite obviously the best option around. We're lucky we were broke and had other immediate needs this summer or else we would've spunked more money on a RW to push him further down the pack.
Yep yep. The only thing Amad lacked up until now was actual game time. I was adamant of it. My post about Olise when we were linked as the RW to sign (a great player no doubt) but:

Very talented player. Probably a little too expensive considering we'll be operating on a "limited budget" depending on what the release clause is (article in the OP says it’s unknown but likely to be a lot more than the £35m in his previous contract).

... Also don’t normally like to go OTT with our own younger players, but I do think, Amad could offer a lot of similarities in profile if he got a full season to actually play. *hides*

Olise is obviously currently the better player – he got 2 goals and 11 assists in PL football last season – very impressive. But if you take it in the means that he is 1.5 seasons ahead currently: Amad got 17 G/A for Sunderland last season, Olise got 19 G/A for Reading in his final Championship season. I’d give Amad the rest of the season to see if he’s up to par and if he's on a similar level of trajectory to Olise. If so, hand him a strong position in the team.

He was definitely angry! Remember when he came on in EtH's last game as a last resort sub? He was completely done. I think he would've left in January had we not sacked ten Hag.

My breaking point with ETH was last season when he seem to just refuse to play Amad. He has clearly been our best technical player and yet...
If EtH was still here you bet he will be asking for a transfer over the coming summer.

Still think our bald genius also mishandled Hannibal.

You could see he had something about him even in the U21s, he's got so much talent, if we had more players with his technical level in the squad we could play some lovely football. Now if we can get someone just as good on the left then we might start having some semblance of an attack forming, there's loads of good left wingers knocking about.

Talisman in the making, he better get the 7 shirt next summer

And we have to factor in him putting it on a plate for Mount the other day, who missed a 1v1 with the keeper. and there are of course a couple more of those ”on a plate, should have been another assists” passes from his feet.

Some touch and finish that was for the winner. To win the Manchester Derby in that manner is sure to give him great confidence and hopefully his current form sticks.

Also almost scored/assisted from that superb header today.

Never stopped running and trying to make things happen, anything we were going to do was going to come through him. 100% MotM.

Looks like we have settled that no 10 spot for him in Amorim’s era. He has everything, skills, creativity, ball retention, good dribbler, great pressing, intelligent, great first touch, and what a finish. He always play high intensity, which what I like about him and I’m sure Amorim loves that about him.
