Such a bizarre hill to die on. I can’t help but feel you’re trying to get the same pointless reaction on here as that guy was at the stadium.
What hill? Why would I try to get any response when I'm just voicing my opinions.

I don't understand your response at all. I don’t think the fan's comments were particularly outrageous or abusive, so Garnacho's reaction feels childish(again, for me). If the fan's remarks were immature, then Garnacho’s response seems equally immature. Is it that hard to just ignore what that guy said and just show it on the pitch?

Needs to grow a thicker skin if that offended him. There was a lot of truth in what was said and he wasn't really abusive etc.

I would be crucified if I told my U14s to just "pass better" 5 will get you ten that dude has no idea how to explain the mechanics of a pass.

Classic bit of journalism there from the guy who's regularly on Goldbridge's channel.

EDIT: Faz was a regular on The United Stand, but not anymore. Apparently he and Goldbridge fell out and they parted ways back in June/July.

I don’t believe you, and the fact that you seem to be incessantly replying to everyone on this thread is quite telling.

Should go without saying that fan is a bell end and got what he deserved. Let’s not forget that the players have no obligation to stop there and sign anything. If they have to deal with smart arse comments like that they’ll be even less likely to next time. So that tool is spoiling things for fellow United fans, all for social media content, the prat.

He doesn't need to hear that from a complete nobody.
Fair enough. It's just that I would expect the coaches to be saying similar things to him behind the scenes, so it’s surprising that a fan’s comments stung him that much to evoke that response.

It wasn't a quick comment though was it? He was clearly trying to provoke a reaction.

Do you honestly think that this fan knows better than professional coaches like Ruud, let alone the player himself? It’s preposterous.
No, but that's part of what I'm questioning. Is he hearing that from coaches? If so, it should sting him as much as it did in my view. Coaches should know what he should be improving upon and I'd expect it to be something similar along those lines(we've been discussing the same things for so long on here).

Some people think I have an agenda with my apparent incessant posting here, I don't. I just seem to have a different opinion to most people on here about his reaction.

Anyone who is part of or operates a toxic fan channel deserves being given the cold shoulder.

Garnacho isn’t immune to criticism but going after the most productive player in the team is absolutely weird.

True, but receiving criticism from Van Nistelrooy and top class coaches is a little easier to stomach than hearing it from this guy.

As if you wouldn't get annoyed if some absolute moron shoved a camera in your face trying to tell you how to do your job when said moron didn't know how to do your job.

Entitled tossers our fans have become.

I don't think it's any different to what we've all been saying here for weeks anyways. If you don't think that's constructive, then fair enough.
Of course it's not constructive criticism, he's trying to get a reaction. Hence the bloody camera.

It shouldn’t matter which player this guy was going after. It’s unacceptable behaviour whichever player it is. I’d hope he is banned from Old Trafford as a result. Feel really sorry for the other people in that group hoping for an autograph only to suffer because of one person’s attention seeking antics.

Does he have a fan channel then? That would explain a lot; he’s after clicks,

Well most of the CAF claims they know more about the ills of United than the professional manager we just sacked, so who k ows

That fan is still a bellend though, whether Garnacho likes it or not this is the world he lives in, he can't win either way so choses the lesser of 2 evils and say nothing

Unrelated I'm sorry but does Garnacho's brother look like him? Seen Garnacho (obviously wasn't him) strolling round selfridges today in shorts without a care in the world and was struggling to believe it actually wasn't him.

I think there's another way to look at this. We the fans are the consumers of the product. We are the customers buying the product.
When I'm unhappy with my bank's staff, I complain to them. I don't say, "oh he/she doesn't know me, how dare I say anything".
I'm not for fans being abusive to players but being critical in a team organised setting? I don't have a problem with.

Can't stand people like this prick holding the phone
I wouldn’t mind if they had just said something valid like ‘pass more/stop being so selfish’ because he’s been unbelievably selfish recently and fans are allowed to say stuff that’s fair in my mind. But to follow it up with the sage advice of ‘score a goal’ just shows he’s a moron.

It’s the most banal, stupid “advice” possible. Like telling a sprinter to run faster, or a boxer to punch harder. Constructive criticism is something useful. That was just nonsense.

Not to mention telling a professional footballer to “work on your first touch”
