Reliable is quite an exaggeration, given he tries it repeatedly and it only occasionally comes off.

His biggest issue is that his greatest strength, running with the ball, is something he's only good at with his head down, which means his end product is lacking as he has to guess where his teammates are.

We've seen him recently trying to run with his head up to see the pitch, but he's almost always loses the ball that way.
The fact he tries it repeatedly shows how his game is improving, before he would always cut inside and shoot. I think his delivery has been really good but Hojlund/Zirkzee make it look worse by never being in the right place. With a decent striker you should be able to put the ball into a good area and expect them to be there.

Trying something different with a low success rate doesn't show his game is improving, only that he's not very effective at multiple things.

Our strikers aren't the best for being in good positions, that's fair, but Garnacho's delivery is still erratic, as he only gets into the position to deliver the ball if he has his head down; if his head is up he'll either lose the ball or be forced back.

Another Assist tonight, add it to the tally for the season (14G/A) feels like he could of had a Goal or Assist in every match recently.

Sure he has a tonne to learn, but he is one of the brighter students in the class for sure.

It looks like he put his head down, and accept he needs to work and learn and improve.

It will end up being good that he is for sale. Not only is he making himself more expensive, he's allowing to club to reject offers at will.

We stood our ground on buys with Dorgu, will do the same on sales with Garnacho.

He's our second most dangerous player. Selling him would be a mistake for a side that is so blunt in attack.

Starting to agree - there are emerging signs of a player with improving game intelligence. I still think he's a bit basic technically, slightly one trickish, but he appears to have made progress these last weeks und Amorim.

He’s always dangerous. We know his technical game can often be sub par but if he can work really hard at improving his final third work he could be a very good player regardless as his movement is quality.

I’m far from his biggest fan and would sell him for the right fee (min. 80m which is what we would be quoted if we wanted to sign him) if we could get someone else in, but as of now, he’s the only player in the squad who can occasionally beat a defender and create a chance.

Amad?

At our current state of affairs, Garnacho is worth to us 100m pounds. We are so toothless even with him in the team, removing him would be a suicide (an Amad injury and we'd struggle to score a goal).

Sounds like Amorim really likes him. And sounds like he’s knuckled down and upped his game post being left out the derby. Incredible that he was able to do that but a much more experienced Rashford wasn’t…
Anyway, he’ll deffo stay now and im glad he is. Would have been fuming if we sold him to Chelsea.

Average player. No standout quality and i mean not a single one apart from running in a straight line. He's fairly quick as well. That's it. In an ideal world he'd be coming off the bench for 5-10 min cameos, but he's supposed to be our savior on the left right now....we're in big trouble.

Was good against a Romanian team, maybe Boehly only saw that game and still bids.

Argentine Dan James. Kick and run winger that offers little threat against quality opposition.

Unfortunately you're not allowing to criticise any youth products on here, just take Rashford as case in point.

This lad is absolutely bang average and offered nothing.

Conservative and measured which is a good thing compared to his spamming of take-ons. Unfortunately, the rest of his game is below par.

I've still not seen anything other than the occasionally nice goal, to suggest he's United standard. He can't play in this system because he can't play either A: striker, B: number 10 position, or C: wing back.

So why do we need him?

Currently none of them are United standard or we wouldn’t be were we are right now.

"He gets Old Trafford of its feet". He doesn't. Only when he pops up with a goal. Because he can't beat players.

Wingers have to beat players routinely. I do like how he is going to the byline but we need more.

We are putting too much pressure on young players. He still should be an impact sub and managed carefully.

He tried today and was OK but really their defender had every inch of him covered all day long.

Of course he can. He beat his man a few times today.

We've been complaining he only wants to dribble and shoot. Now he's starting to get crosses into the box...and there's no fecker there. Should have had one absolutely certain assist and potentially a couple more.

He was the only player on that pitch who looked like he wanted to try and make something happen. Only one in a red shirt anyway.

The contrast in agility/jinkyness (if that's a word) between him and Amad is severe.

Most full backs are wary of Amad running at them while most full backs are just like; "Gimme that." when Garnacho faces them up.
