Felt like he got on the ball about ten times, fecked up and lost it nine times and hit a pearler into the top corner the other time. Vintage Garnachocore.

Mr sulk. Even Bruno was telling him off about it after the final whistle

Deservedly got a lot of criticism, which I think (body language expert here) has got to him and he's aware of. I like the no celebration or whatever that was. I've been on his back a lot but I've always said he's got something, whether that's a chip on his shoulder, doggedness or sometimes unwarranted supreme confidence. Today he was definitely trying to pass more, not just head down and run. Under a good coach, he can improve and become a better player.

I think sometimes it's overlooked by fans just how young he is.

It is. There’s barely a 20 year old in Europe who is doing what Garnacho is doing here.

He was more dangerous in 5 minutes than the bloke he came on for was in 60.

Folk need to learn to take the rough with the smooth with Garnacho. If Amorim can manage to piece together a functional team then he’s going to be a big part of making it happen.

So what was the deal with the goal celebration? Goal was really well taken.
Hopefully it was just that he was unhappy about not starting, or it is the stick he’s been getting on social media and too his face (by a so call United fan) has been getting him down.

From Bruno:

"Garnacho scored a banger but didn't celebrate like he should because he thinks he has lost faith from some fans. I told him people will always moan but lots of people like you and enjoy what you do.

"I told him to celebrate, it was something special. He is a special player, we have difference makers. They are the ones who win us games. We want them to score every game but that isn't going to happen.

Nice goal but he is a frustrating figure though I appreciate his efforts and relentless running at times but he needs to be sharper in the way he plays.

Is this because of that random TikTok knobhead before the PAOK game?

I think he should be used the way he was today a lot more. Not to say he shouldn’t get his fair share of starts but shouldn’t always be a starter.

He was actually pretty average to poor but it was a great goal and he worked hard for the team so having that output in 30mins looks really good. If he had 90mins of similar play today then that’s where the frustration with him builds because the mistakes are multiplied.

The issue for us is Rashford is wank so we almost have no choice but to start Garnacho often.

Fecking hell.

Attention seeking behavior with the non celebration. Today showed the best and worst of Garnacho. Poor touches, control, decision making crowned by an excellent finish.

He has to desire improving his game even more than the fans demand it from him.

Jesus, the criticism on here for being clearly frustrated with himself even after scoring a beauty, he can't do anything right. The young lad has standards, nothing wrong with that.

Great finish. But relatively wasteful otherwise. That said, much better than Rashford regardless, he was involved all the time.

7G and 11 G/A so far this year - team leader in both metrics.

The thing about the boy is, even when he's in dire form, he'll try, and try, and chances are he'll get something from the game.

Could of course ask more of him, but for a 20 year old lad, not too shabby.

I’ll take his attitude, wastefulness, and bad decision making every day of the week compared to what Rashford has been offering up. He already has more variety to his game and actually tries non-stop.

He's frustrating sometimes, but there is also just something about him. He often comes up with the goods, even when he is playing poorly. Shouldn't be discounted that he is our top goalscorer.

Decent game with some good and some bad. Goal was very well taken. Of the numerous times he attempted that kind of shot, finally one went in.

Did fair bit better than Rashford though who was absolutely rubbish today.

Bruno is completely correct. There will be people moaning no matter what he does so tune out the fan criticism (and take praise with a pinch of salt), listen to your coaches and work your hardest and enjoy the good moments.

He's twenty years old with the emotional maturity of a twenty year old. The cockiest people I've ever met deep down were very insecure.

Fans are too quick to get on the backs of young players, the amount of slagging off on this forum at times is just shocking. Nobody has any patience anymore.

He reminds me a bit like a young Nani, although with a higher ceiling and slightly less flair. Incredibly frustrating at times, but he does come up with the goods.

23 goals and 15 assists in 106 games
Nani had 40 and 70 in 230, with much better strikers.

Tbf, if you're a good player/coach/ etc you can't really have much faith in a fanbase that struggles to tell the difference between good and bad.

Cracking goal from a top young talent

Sometimes less is more and recently he’s been acting a bit selfish on the ball in my opinion he needs to simplify it and find a pass. Think he could be a real top player though

I’m not sure about higher ceiling, to be honest.

That guy who did that video for the clicks is a gigantic cockwomble.

You expect players at Garnacho's age to be inconsistent.

The problem this club has had is not knowing at what point it's become clear this potential is not going to be achieved - see Rashford and Martial

20 year old academy lad who has scored one of the greatest ever PL goals, scored in the cup final victory vs our local rivals (for myself and many other Reds, this was one of the best days of our lives), and is a constant thorn in the side of many top full backs... this kid feels like he's lost faith from some fans. Jesus, some knobheads on TikTok and YouTube have a lot to answer for. Hopefully 'Viva Garnacho' gets sung louder than ever during our next game.

Poor planning from ETH and the club. Young players such as Garnacho, Mainoo and Höjlund should not have to carry such a big responsibility.

The kid should learn to ignore online trolls. They are attentions seekers, trolls and online traffic seekers. They will do anything to be in the discussion on the internet.

There were several posters on here agreeing with that guy’s behaviour. Insanity.
As a fanbase we're largely defined by attention seeking cnuts now, unfortunately. Although I guess you could say that about any club, especially if they're struggling. Look at Arsenal and the arsefan TV years
