Way too much was made about his age. The shape his is in is would be ridiculous for a 24 year old never mind a 34 year old.

He is like a more skillful, bigger and more bulked up version of Teddy Sheringham-who was a great player.

Love the guy purely because I know it winds up our rivals that he's at United.

Can see him bagging 20 goals this season.

That's the thing. They all can harp on his age and that he would be only for 2 years but they will all be wishing that they had the player of his caliber in their ranks.

Arsenal have Giroud FFS

Was close to scoring a great free-kick. Seems like we've found a solution there as well.

Zlatan descends from the plane and is directly operational.

No need to discover the city and choose the school for the children or understand the club/ team-mates.

I was wondering about us signing a player of his age. But he looks so strong. And we now have an amazing free kick taker.

And that goal was a beauty.

First time hearing that. Great news!

I think it's 1 + 1 if he does well but like Zlatan said it's difficult to give a length of time. If we are lucky, it could be 3 or 4+ years. He's a strong build but he's got great flexibility and if we use him right - I think he'll do well for us :)

This year and maybe next year we are looking at a starter but as Rashford develops and Ibra declines there's no reason why Ibra cannot act as a backup striker.

"47-year-old Zlatan signs for Miami after a highly successful 12-year stint at Utd"

He's going to destroy the league. Nothing to suggest he needs any time to settle with his first two games against PL opposition when he scores a goal like that in his PL debut. Should have had an absolute worldie of an assist too.

What a fecking player we've gotten our hands on here! Exciting times ahead

Could've had a couple of assists had Rooney scored those 2 chances he put on a plate for him to feck up.

Yep, could have had another goal as well if he didn't feck up his break and made a bad pass to the opposition.

Not saying Rooney played well or defending him, as he was not very good today, but all the bashing is crazy in my opinion. Rose tinted glasses for Ibra, but bashing Rooney at every chance. Again, Ibra played much better today, but it's like a witch hunt in my opinion.

This place definitely has a preference for young raw players. Sometimes though just quality and experience can be huge. The guy is something else, the aura around him is something different entirely and now we have another one in Pogba.

"on a plate"

:jol:

Moving swiftly on, I thought Ibra was different gravy today. Was a wee bit off the pace in his United career so far but today eased a lot of my worries. I reckon PL football will suit him down to the ground. The more lenient referees means he can really bully defenders. Great to see.

Imagine when we actually start creating him some chances, rather than letting him create 25yarders himself

Favourite part of Zlatans performances in both games so far isn't the goals, it's the fact he has levelled the opposition centre half in the first ten minutes in both games.
Properly smashed the feckers as well.

He was class today, had several brilliant moments. Martial was good too. Rooney and Mata scored but were a bit average.

That header was brilliant. He went in like a kamikaze and left two defenders on the ground. Gets up, shakes it off and finds someone els ro bully.

Absolutely love having him in the team! Not just for the gratly taken goal today, but he gives us a presence - which Fellaini also somehow did, today that we've missed for seasons.

Him and Pogba are going to utterly smash the majority of this league.

I cannot wait.

Is there a single CB in the league that is physically capable of handling him (strength wise, not pace wise)?

Wes Morgan couldn't do shit, and he's a unit.

Actually kinda sad that Squirtle is out of the picture with Liverpool, would have loved him trying some 'ard man antics with the Zlat.

And to think some people said he wouldn't be able to do it in the Premier League... I love how much people overrate the players in this league, particularly the defenders. Zlatan completely mugged off those Bournemouth players on a number of occasions. He's just in a different class.

Today was just the beginning. There's plenty more where that came from :smirk:

It was like a quick warning at the start of the game, "not gonna be fecked with here lads."

Remember when we played city and rashford got fouled by dimecheles who then jumped up and got all in his face? It was Lingard who ran up to push him away but imagine if you have ibra or pogba coming over to you, it genuinely makes a difference in a game.

Aye, or the West Ham game were that wally picked up Herrera, lad would have been decapitated.

One of my favourite moments with Fellaini is when some Fulham cnut stamped Januzaj and he came over and throttled the guy.

Vidic at his prime and that's about it.

(so no :D)
