He is basically the perfect striker. Strong, athletic, smart, acrobatic. The only thing he lacks is pace which is not a problem at all given his strengths.

that goal is your typical world class player's goal. Out of fecking nowhere, four men in front of him, and he puts it just right in the corner.

I think my favourite part today even above his goal, was when he had a chance at a second, he chose to try and play in Mikhi for his first league goal.

Didn't come off but that's proper teamwork and leadership.

Love the guy purely because I know it winds up our rivals that he's at United.

Can see him bagging 20 goals this season.

never thought he'd be this good... I just love his vision, he's not the quickest but not slow either with a combination of his strength and technique he's fecking awesome... that lay off to Martial was my favourite bit of his performance today..

Agree although my favourite was his pressing and work ethic. It wasn't Atletico pressing but he was always shuffling across and putting some indirect pressure on the defence. He was never on his backfoot and that's incredibly energy draining.

That's incredible for a man of his age because it would be totally expected for someone of his ilk to just sit on the centre back and wait for the ball to come. It wasn't really that effective but I think that shows the mentality of this guy. He's setting an example.

I was fecking thrilled when he signed, and in awe after his first touch vs Galatasaray, but this was such a rounded performance. Flicks and tricks, giving the opposition hell, creating chances and scoring as a cherry on top. I know I shouldn't say, but I'm pretty sure Zlatan can do with an orange what Rooney can do with a football. Can't believe he's ours!

Cant remember someone so willing to shoot outside the box. Christ, we've been starved off some inspiration the last 3 years. He's lead this side. Memphis could really benefit for someone like him around training every day.

Someone make a gif of the time he sat Arter on his arse with that little flick past him at the end

If the guy was born around 2000 years ago we would've had a religion named after him today.

What an absolute masterstroke of a signing this guy could be not only on the pitch but off it too. Saw his interview on Sky earlier, top class, showed so much personality in comparison to many players.

What a difference a world class striker makes.

Shame Rooney didn't finish that chance where Ibra's acrobatics set him up.

If only we had a prime Ibra at a prime age...

In honesty we are in a great position. He is great, and when he leaves Rashford will be too (hopefully). And if Rashford isn't, we've Martial.
