It's already a gorgeous game on a PS3, if they optimise it half as well for PS4 it's going to be a complete stunner.

I'd of preferred the challenge of levelling up again I think. Would of been a lot more to aim for then.

I guess you don't have to copy your stats over - or you could create another character for online?

I've only played through the SP once, so will definitely play through again on PS4.

Online, I would rather transfer over my player I think.

Well, get it together. Might look to sell my PS3 after the summer now.

I have been sticking with the PS3 until either GTA or the next Madden is out on the PS4 - so will buy one over the summer. Will keep the PS3 - the kids like a number of the games, so will hand it over to them.

Am v close to level 100, if that helps. Have found it easier to progress recently, now that I am not always getting sniped by you!

Good news. I've been playing Watchdogs online but it just isn't close to this. You're so limited in what you can do - although it's unfair to compare and contrast the two games I suppose.

The PS3 can stay on as the household blu-ray player I suppose.

Don't know what you mean!

I think that also shows just how good it does look on PS3/360!

They have confirmed that the PS4 version will be 1080p, which is good to hear. Don't think they have confirmed the resolution of the Xbox One version yet.

Where is the source saying 1080p is confirmed for PS4? Great if it's true, not that I doubt they wouldn't as I fully expect Rockstar could deliver us the best.

I can't remember where it was I read that - will try and find, but was switching between forums / sites, so not sure if I will find it :(

I wonder if they add a DLC and enhance the city a little in the next gen version or will they go with a straightforward port. Hoping for the former obviously.

Finally got over level 100 last night :)

So with regard to Heists, R* had said they would be launched this Spring. Although I would not be at all surprised if they were delayed, if they are to meet their spring deadline, then I assume that means they should be released before the 21st June. Given that they usually release updates on Tuesday, that would mean next Tuesday...

Anyone else think we will see them then?

I have the feeling they'll be unforeseen circumstances and they'll be delayed until it's released on next gen.

I was thinking that - but think that the fact they have confirmed that you cam carry over your stats to any new platform (so 360 to PS4, for example) makes it more likely that they will release heists before the next gen versions launch.

I'm just dubious as to whether they'll announce it with the release to attract more sales.

I think sales will be good regardless. Launching heists soon would keep more people playing the game now, which would, I guess, mean more cash cards being bought.

Will be online later this eve - have some work to get done first.

Played a few missions yesterday with some randoms - was actually good fun doing some of the more obscure missions, rather than coveted and RR all the time!

fecking hate this carrying over of stuff in games. New gen, everyone should start again. I'm goin to be the only level one running around blowing myself up.

In this case I think it was necessary given how close GTAV was released to the end of the generation and the hundreds of hours people would have played leveling their character up to 100+ and saving money for various vehicles and property. To start off from scratch again (when GTAV was released on last gen, there were numerous problems with Online as it was, with accounts randomly being deleted, money going missing etc) would have been a kick in the crotch.

Gta is all about crotch kicking though.

I might not even bother with it now tbh.

I'm tempted not to bother with it, they'll be nothing to do. Haven't played it for weeks, it usually gets a play when a new DLC is released and that's it. Waiting on heists before I go back on.

Tempting but feck all point when everyone else will be riding round in tanks and battering you with RPG's.

Does gta not try putting you in lobbies with other newbs? If enough caf members get together surely we can fill a lobby/game pretty much and level up quickish?

I'll batter everyone with a baseball bat. Tanks have no chance against me.

Easy enough to have private crew sessions and then go into missions/races etc from there. Most have access to the missions that give out the most money/RP so should be fairly easy to level up.

Thing is, starting at level one and getting took through high level missions straight away seems like cheating to me :/ sorta pointless. Might aswell buy it and let everyone else complete it for me.

The other option would be transferring your character over, but then creating a 2nd character from scratch. That way you could still benefit from any money you have (so you wouldn't be starting totally from zero), but then you could still level up etc.
