Similar to what ive said about Bruno, Rashy is another who flatters to deceive. When you really need these guys to produce, they just fall short.
As Keano is just saying, these guys aren't the ones you want beside you in the trenches when you're up against it.

Both Rashy and Bruno are expendable for me, we need better quality in those positions going forwards.

I've never seen someone lose so much pace without some sort of catastrophic injury. He can't go toe for toe with any fullbacks anymore.

He worked hard tonight and was our best attacking player?
He literally had one moment when he tracked his opponent back to the goal line but I guess he timed it perfectly if that's what stuck in people's minds.

How has lost so much pace? He’s going to have to evolve his game as he’s not really that effective without it.

He also won the throw in with a full sprint pressing moment which led to the penalty.

But i know, some only want to see negative things with Rashford.
OT gave him a round of applause during his sub which says enough.

Marcus Rashford’s form has been a hot topic recently, and it’s clear his development over the past 5–6 years has had ups and downs. He peaked around 2019–2021, with over 20 goals each season, but lately, his performance has dipped. Injuries—especially to his back and shoulder—have definitely played a part. These affected his speed and explosiveness, which are crucial to his game.

Another big factor could be the constant changes at Manchester United. With so many managers and different playing styles, Rashford’s been pushed into roles that don’t always play to his strengths. Plus, the guy has taken on a huge social role outside football, which has to add some mental strain, especially with the high expectations from fans and the media.

If Rashford can get a consistent role that suits him and avoid injuries, I think he can still get back to his best. He’s got the talent—just needs stability, good tactics, and a bit of luck to reclaim his spot as one of the league’s top attackers.

Our midfield just does not function at all, you could argue Rashford may be a contributor to this, but as a 'forward' line player I'm willing to overlook his part. It's almost comical to think how a supposed top club can neglect the engine/heart of the team that has failed for so long. For now, the only solution I see is packing it with numbers so the 343 may work for us! But it's going to take away from other areas but then it maybe a legitimate question whether Rashford/Bruno have a place in the team because I'm not seeing how they fit into this formation given what is asked of the players.

Constantly 10 yards off the press, either fitness or attitude, probably both. New manager will find a way to play him I've no doubt.

Think it’s an accumulation of the various ones he’s had. The back injury was the biggest

There was a replay where Cucurella ran by him to head to the box, ran by Rashford who just stood and watched him go.

I can't see how anyone can say he works hard.

When the standards are so low, a crumb of effort or performance gets exaggerated praise

His time is over here. He's lost a lot of pace and shouldn't be anything more than a back up

No, it really is just him. The charade doesn't exist elsewhere. Short of taking an actual nap on the field, Rashford will always be said said to have played well.

Best attacker on the night and still our most threatening player in the squad - which says something. The only player who can beat a defender with skill.

Beat Gusto with some nice skill for the penalty situation. Hit the woodwork.

Agreed with the physical condition. He’s been subbed in every PL game this season. I don’t think his body can take 90 min games anymore. Or he’s carrying another knock.
I cannot tell if you are joking or not.

I basically think now we have to hang out hat on Garnacho or him if we want to build a squad capable of competing for the league. I don't think both of them works. Garnacho isn't any better than Rashford ATM, but I think long term, it's the right choice.

A player who is very slow when running with the ball but extremely fast without it, the opposite of Giggs.

Are you actually serious. Hanging our hat on Marcus Rashford, what the feck has he produced this or last season to claim anything like that. I've never seen a player produce so little and supporters almost pretend he's still capable of great things.

Indeed. Rashford has always been a player with electrifying pace when running without the ball and he still is right now and hasn’t lost a yard.

But with the ball, although he wasn’t great in his teens but has regressed in this area now hence most people just assume that his inability to beat his man with pace is related to his past injuries.

He doesn’t work hard enough and doesn’t want to.
Zero interest in pressing and he needs to be sold.
We will never be a great team as long as we carry passengers without the ball. This club needs to be uncompromising in its demands.
Been here nearly ten years. I’m afraid both him and the club need to part ways.

15.9M salary for another 3.5 years pending. Even if he gets a new club, doubt we have the money to compensate his pending salaries. Not entirely sure what our FFP situation is, but media says it is tight.
