It is crazy that Ratcliffe is cutting every nook and corner to save pennies meanwhile Rashford has collected £350,000 a week between this and performance at Forest. It is disgraceful how little effort he puts on the pitch.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if new articles are imminent on how "Ruben Amorim is not doing Marcus Rashford any favor by constantly chopping and changing his position, while asking him to learn a new system". Get rid of him and Shaw at earliest, only leeches surviving from our lowest period.

I have him a 1/10. Hard to imagine a worse performance, to be frank

It's really difficult to come to any other conclusion than him being done.

What is wrong with him?

Probably best for both parties if he moves on.Clearly unhappy in this environment.
I do think him being out from the England fold has mentally affected him rather immensely.

Just fire the useless cnut in with the reserves.
We did it with sancho who was on an equally insane wage so why does he get to do whatever that was every week?

when you are ruthless enough to sack a sporting director after 5 months, you need to be ruthless enough to stop playing a guy who has done feck all for two years. He just doesn't deserve to be out there every week anymore ... players should have to earn their playing time, no matter their name.

Genuinely, I feel sad seeing Rashford these days. He looks lost. When you think of what he was like when he was on form what we're seeing now is just pitiful.

There's no zip, there's no belief, there's no confidence. I know he's being asked slightly different things in this system but even so...

Absolutely done at the top level. Heck, I'm not even sure he'll standout in the Championship.

His overall gameplay was never exceptional, but at this moment its championship-level. His standout qualities were always his pace and finishing. While he might still be capable of finishing at a decent level, he can no longer get into the right positions due to the loss of his explosiveness/pace. Hopefully Saudi can do us a favor in January.

Ineos need to make a statement here, a loss leader. Offer him half his remaining contract and remove him from the club.

Will put a marker down about standards.

He will probably start against City. Only logical reason he gets playing time at all is because of a playing time clause in his huge contract. I'm guessing of course but wouldn't be the least surprised.

Had to laugh at the social media outcry after the rumour about selling Rashford. Who would seriously want to take him off Uniteds hands? Even Anthony produced more on the field tonight and that says something..

Body language is awful and damn lucky he didn't get sent off which would have cost United the three points.

Whats been the excuse for total mediocrity and lethargy for the last two seasons.
2021/22 - Backache. Ole's fault
2022/23 - Awesome Rashford. Credit to him.
2023/24 - Online fan abuse and Ten Hag broke him.

The clubs should buy him for 50M. Its a steal.

We’re likely stuck with him because of the ludicrous wages. Maybe PSG, but his current performances & attitude should make any potential buyer wary of spending any real sort of money on him. Been terrible far too long.
Saudi are the only realistic option unless he takes something like a 70% pay cut (and even then it's going to be a challenge to find any suitors, I'm afraid). They're still going to invest tons of cash in their league in order to boost its image before the 2034 World Cup.

300,000 pounds a week for this guy!! Both physical and mentally of him are gone. Rashford is not professional footballer anymore. He is so done.

I don't often think people are cnuts, but this guy earning £300k a week while putting zero effort in and acting like it's a chore to play football is an insult to every football fan let alone United ones, joke of a footballer and a cnut of a person blaming people who rightfully critique him.

This man has mentally checked out of football and even if by some miracle he checks right back in, I don’t think his abilities are going to hold him in good stead. Once that pace goes, what does he have?

In Amorim’s system, he’s not going to be the main striker, he’s not creative enough to be one of the No.10s and he sure isn’t going to be that athletic left wingback.

Please let Amorim be the manager that has the balls to leave on this bench for an extended period and hopefully sell. In his current form he is detrimental to the team and I don't care if he feels hard done by with all the bad people saying bad stuff about him. He is our highest paid player and needs to do the business or be moved on. It has been years now.

Lost a decent amount of raw pace to boot of which he has been reliant on ever since. Will take a decent amount of time for him to adjust his game as he physically ages and I don't think we can afford him time for that if we're serious on winning silverware.

He’s not the kind of character we need. He’s a shrinking violet. Seems everything about him needs to be perfect for him to perform.

I can't wait to see the back of Marcus. Why? Not because I hate him or think his leaving will be somehow transformative, but because it will send a signal that we really are shifting the culture and are no longer tolerating this sort of non-performance. At £300K+ a week and with such an appalling attitude. A technically limited player, who never really developed much, who's clearly lost the pace that made a difference, and who - bluntly - has simply got too much money.

You can see an early retirement to the Saudi league...hopefully,

Needs to be the first one out of the door.

Mainoo can be the new Manchester boy academy poster boy now.

That is literally the only reason Rashford is still at the club.

I feel like he's just coasting... it's like me when I worked my last job, just do enough to get through the day and wait till payday.

I have no idea how much in wages have been saved by firing office and grounds staff but ONE WEEKS worth of wages we're wasting on this clueless jackass would have kept several employed for a year or so.

He will be joining his mate Lingard and dancing in Korea.
