On the contrary, Sport Bild have been quite well informed regarding Dortmund's matters in the more recent past. Bild have a lot of informants everywhere but it seems like they don't hesitate to make shit up, so you can never been sure with them.
FWIW I've read that Ruhrnachrichten (and they are basically Dortmund's mouthpiece) is sticking to the €40m figure.
Either way that shouldn't be an unsolvable obstacle.
Well, surely it's obvious that Dortmunds mouthpiece are going to use the number that best suits Dortmund, regardless of truth.

That said, Sky are full of shit, so in this case, I'd assume the Dortmund side is accurate, or at least closer. In reality it'll probably be like 30-32 with add ons bring it to 38-40.

They used to be, but they appear to have lost influence since the new head of press (a former "Ruhrnachrichten" writer) took over. When they cite their own sources (as in this case) it is still reliable, though.

Sport Bild has been nothing short of impressive when it comes to breaking Dortmund stories. They were the first to break news with four (Merino, Bartra, Dembele and Mor) of our six signings. Only with Rode (BILD) and Guerrero (L´equipe) they came late to the party.

104 votes for no, what do people want ffs?

Dont know about other 103 ones but mine has nothing to do with player, more like spite of BVB actions, just in principles(even stupid ones) i would rather give 38 mil to player next season,so club could get feck all (i know its stupid but hey...)

James as well fits in the description.

True although you could argue that we'd be getting another player who's not actually that keen on leaving Real and joining us, which loads on here would gladly point out (and rightly so to be fair). Plus he can't play up front.

Great news. I've always rated him, extremely quick and a really good dribble. He can be wasteful in front of goal though.

I didn't vote no, but I voted undecided. I like the player, but wondered about the cost of a player who is in the last year of his contract and is not interested in signing a new contract.

Might sound a daft question but rather than start a new thread how do you post tweets on here? I have tried to embed them and copy and past but it does not work

should be a good signing but you never know. Last year for example everyone rightfully thought that Pedro and depay would be good transfers

Dont make any assumptions. A poster just said earlier that he needs to first displace Lingard on the right wing.

Haha that's the best joke I've heard over Summer. Lingard won't even be at the club in 18 months. Mourinho won't settle for average ability in his squad.

If we sign Mkhitaryan in addition to Ibrahimovic (and potentially Pogba) would we have the best squad on paper in the Europa league or would there be better teams than us?

A signing for the here and now. A player at his peak is just what our attack needs. Let hopes it works out.

I think we currently have the best squad on paper, but things can change in December when we are met with the 3rd place finishers of the CL

Even if he's got a year left on his contract to get a player of his recent performance levels for that fee would be wonderful. Still believe we need a bit mode pace and dribbling quality in wide areas but this makes a lot of sense.

without a shadow of a doubt, we'd also have just about the best squad in England, in my opinion.

Haven't seen much of this guy, how do people rate him v Kagawa?

Hope I haven't missed relentless pageloads of debate about that!

Hope he turns out much better, although in fairness, we probably won't sign someone that completely changes our plans for him!

I voted no, simply because the few games I've seen including him, he hasn't really impressed me that much.
However, I do trust Mourinho and his scouts far more than I trust myself regarding players abilities, so if they say go, I'm happy to be proven wrong!

I read somewhere he would have considered a career as a sprinter if he didnt turn out to be a footballer.

Cant be too slow then.

Right click on the time the tweet was post, click "Copy link location", then paste on the thread you want to post on

Funny how a lot of people point to how great Mhkitaryan is and point to a youtube compilation. I can take one of Mata last year and he'd look just as good, and Juan played under the most boring manager we've ever had.

I haven't seen much of Henrikh M. so I'l reserve judgement. I hope he impresses.

Kagawa is a very different player. Miki is more direct in his style. He's faster, stronger and works harder. He isn't as agile or technical as Kagawa, but he is a superb dribbler with much more end product. He reminds me a bit of Di Maria. Not as technically outstanding but he's smarter and works a lot harder.
Hard to tell which position he's best suited for. He had delivered consistently from both wings and in the middle for Dortmund this season though.

Sounds pretty promising from that description.

Newest article from the BVB-close serious journalist Röckenhaus:

http://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/bvb-dortmund-kurz-vor-der-schmerzgrenze-1.3054047

simple g-translate:

Sometimes there are some game situations that can be a footballer suddenly stand in a different light. Until the 120th minute of the Cup final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan was at BVB as virtually unsaleable. Then came the penalty shoot-out. Dortmund's Armenian playmaker refused to, the central defender Sokratis and Sven Bender Missed that Bavaria celebrated the Cup victory. Quite likely that this scene plays a role when Mkhitaryan next week still gets approval for his move to Manchester United.

Dortmund had two, three weeks issued the slogan that Mkhitaryan, whose contract expires in 2017, should not go. After the marches of the two international Ilkay Gündogan and Mats Hummels BVB wanted to and his coach Thomas Tuchel not expect the third departure of a key player. Rather they wanted to dispense with a release and let Mkhitaryan meet end his contract.

Listing at 40 million euros?

Meanwhile to the fee bid of Manchester United are more than 40 million euros. BVB has been whispered for weeks that the pain threshold lies at 42 million euros. That is now apparently be possible. For a player with only a year contract period, a new record.

In Dortmund wants to once again discuss the crucial topic for the weekend "on the boards" - which actually is otherwise not just the usual practice at BVB, where managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke and sporting director Michael Zorc most still ask the coach what he one of holds transfer. But Mkhitaryan, until recently became a favorite player from Tuchel, has become almost like a political issue. Mkhitaryans consultant who dazzling Mino Raiola, has already spread in the media that his client will no longer compete for DFB-Borussia Dortmund on July 4, either way. Contracting out Contracting ago. The manners in professional football are just always desolate.

Background should be that Mkhitaryan plays only a minor role in Raiolas shops. Manchester United's new coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly two other of Raiolas proteges, the Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Frenchman Paul Pogba pilot, necessarily to England. Mkhitaryan to be something of a bonus. Originally intended to bid for United, the new season only allowed to play in the little befitting Europa League International, have lain at modest 24 million.

But Mkhitaryan should stop his hell-bent to switch to Manchester. Already in April, long before breaking off negotiations with the BVB, the 27-year-old had quit his apartment in Dortmund in the summer. What was hard to conceal. to want to hold a so abwanderungswütigen player with all his might, seems to be too strenuous even BVB Boss Watzke. Unclear is: Who now replaced Mkhitaryan?

Zorc had at Bayer Leverkusen, as can be heard from Leverkusen, asked whether Karim Bellarabi would have to replace him. Bell Arabi is relatively similar in play Mkhitaryan. Leverkusen but played the informal inquiry from Dortmund obviously equal to media on. Dortmund probed the market. With around 100 million euros, which would come together to transfer proceeds, albeit Mkhitaryan goes, Dortmund could indeed make a lot. But donating clubs raise prices when the liquid BVB knocks.

Stubbornly holding in Dortmund is a tendency that Thomas Tuchel's former Mainz player André Schürrle favors - but this results in Dortmund for collective astonishment. The soon 26 years old Schürrle has remained almost consistently guilty since his move from Mainz to Leverkusen five years ago, the proof of special class. In Leverkusen, at Chelsea and Wolfsburg Schürrle came rarely beyond mediocrity. Also at the European Championships he seems at best to be a Einwechselkandidat Joachim Löw. Wolfsburg is also calling for 30 million Schürrle. BVB-Annex should Tuchel fondness for his former hardly encounter get any love.

Realistically, however, the return of Mario Götze seems. Even that is, accumulated since his move from Dortmund to Bayern, rarely to form. Also idol is obviously just downgraded at Loew the second term. But his performance at Bayern are considerable in the past three years. Who does not count at Bayern of the main cast, may still be a good man.

Also known Götze and know that he is still the stuff would have an international star in a suitable environment. Just because Götze previously ran away no trees at the European Championships, the chances are likely to have improved him back to his youth and training club. In Munich is likely to want to push the championship-winning goal scorers for 20 million of the ramp.

People on s forum actually watch the Bundesliga

Please give me a summary of that article.
What I gathered from a quick read

* Miki unsellable until he refused to take penalty in the cup final
* Dortmund initially claimed he would not be sold to become third major departure
* €42m price threshold
* Long before contract negotiations stalled, Miki decided to move out of his apartment in Dortmund
* Miki minor part of José's plan for United which revolves around the two other Raiola clients (Ibra + Pogba)
* Dortmund looking for replacement, among them Leverkusen's Bellarabi, Schürrle and Götze

He isn't coming from Portugal or The Netherlands. Many of us watch the Bundesliga and have seen him play. He was one of the best players in the league last season. I don't know how he'll do with us, but he's a good player.

Honestly, he'd not have been my first choice but it's a good transfer and he's an improvement to what we have. And at the quoted prices, it's a no-brainer.

Klopp thought he was weak mentally. Raiola thinks he is not a RW. Caf rates him highly

TBH he is a decent player
You got a link to Klopp thinking he was weak mentally? All I could find was this

‘When it comes down to it, 99 per cent of people would be happy to have Mkhitaryan’s problems,’ he said. ‘There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the most talented players in the world.

‘He possesses an incredible combination of speed and technique. There’s very, very few you can say that about.

Also he played mainly on the RW this season under Tuchel so pretty silly to bring Raiola's thoughts into it

£26.3m on a player who contributed to nearly 50 goals in a strong league last season, or £26.3m in the Cayman Islands bank account going towards another installment on the loan? I know which I'd rather have.
