That's ridiculous. Why would we give this cnut £200k per week? He's getting his dream move, he shouldn't need that much convincing.
Yes because thats how football and transfers work

Again, why do you all care about transfer fees so much? We could afford €70m for him, it doesn't matter. The only thing that shout matter to us is how good he is.
..............................DDG............................
Darmian......Smalling........Bailly.............Shaw
................Schniederlin..Herrera...................
.........Miki...............Rooney.............Martial...
.......................Ibra/(Rashford)..................
Hopefully this is the kind of thing Mourinho has in mind for us next season.
Oh this again.
People care about transfer fees because money is not infinite and paying €70m would mean less money to spend on other targets. As we stand, €30m is great business which
That's why.
- does not put a lot of pressure on the player from the media/supporters
- saves us quite a few millions for other targets.
Why Smalling?
Replace Darmian, Smalling and Schneiderlin and we would really mean business. I know it ain't going to happen though so we'll just have to see how the squad shape up.
Very happy with Mkhitaryan by the way. That's a very good fee for a change.
Didnt he play like 50+ games last season? I mean playing that many games will eventually take a toll on your performances. Both him and Blind practically had no rest last season.Granted he had a very solid 6 months or so but apart from that he's been average. I just think we could do so much better in his position. He's just a one-dimensional player, doesn't even pass the ball that well, tends to panic when opposing players get near him....and don't get me started on his grabbing. He got found out a couple of times last season because of it. His marking ain't brilliant but he has put a few good stops in to be fair to him.

"One-dimensional, can't pass the ball that well." Which player have you been watching?

The brilliant Chris Smalling!
This place can be crazy at the best of times.Smalling?
Why do you care about other targets, you are not the manager?

Let's sell our best CB! Jeez.
Back to the Mkh..whatever his name is - I wonder what squad number he will take?
7? 8 when Mata is sold?
11 Id put him in.

eh. I'm a fan though?
Pretty ridiculous we have to pay him at all to be fair.
If anything, he should be paying the club. This, a true fan would play for free.
Was one of our best players in his first season and last season really only was bad towards the end. Loves the club and gives his all always. So a fair few care
They both made 55 starts this season. The most any player has done since Gary Pallister in 1994.Did Smalling miss any games? I know Blind was rested near the end.
Phil Jones will probably be moved on after Rojo.
Missed three games due to a shoulder injury (5-1 W v Midtjylland, 3-2 W v Arsenal, 1-0 W v Watford). He was also not in the squad for the away loss v Bournemouth.Did Smalling miss any games? I know Blind was rested near the end.

Other than that and a game v Ipswich in the FA Cup (played 70 mins), he played every single minute of the games he's played.

Forgot about that! Can't blame me considering what happened 10 minutes later thoughThere ya go, plus his cunning red card plan in the FA cup final to get Palace to attack was a masterstroke
Talking about Smalling in this thread. What?
Mother of god you want schneiderlin and Darmian gone as well schneiderlin was the best DM in the league for nearly three years straight van gaal runied him. I think the two players who will thrive the most under mourinho are Darmian and schneiderlin. If smalling was named Christoffel smallus you'd think he's great your the type of person who loves a Name rather then the player. Smalling has been immense this year.Granted he had a very solid 6 months or so but apart from that he's been average. I just think we could do so much better in his position. 20 assists in bundesliga in 31 games11 goals and 15 assists from out wide in 31 appearances in the Bundesliga last year according to whoscored.
When was the last time we had a proper threat like that outwide? (Barring Martial).
Watch Herrera absolutely excel under mourinho if he's given the time of day. Hopefully we play a 4-3-3 because that's what suits our current squad best. In that formation Herrera can be a really exciting and productive player.Completely disagree. I think his attitude masked some real mediocrity. I genuinely think Fellaini did more to warrant being kept thsn Herrera last season.
I'm much more concerned about Mata.
meowNormal for the Cat these days. Poor mods
Right midfield? As in 4-4-2 right midfield?Back to Mkhitaryan, will Jose play him on the right of a front 3 or a right midfield?
