I think BVB is just holding out for a higher price. I know he's running out of time on contract but they paid £25m for him and I'm sure they will let him go at £30m.
Says we failed with a £19m bid, it's the mirror thoughCan't see tweets. Please what's the gist?
I meant if he expects him to leave this summer. He is definitely going to leave. He said he wont extend his contract so its a matter of when and not if. Its either this summer or latest by the next.
Cheers.Says we failed with a £19m bid, it's the mirror though
Typical isn't it, Gundogan and Hummels leave without any problems but when United come calling Dortmund dig their heels in.
They'll sell, if Mourinho wants him bad enough we'll pay enough to make them.
Tend to agree with this. This transfer is going to happen if our interest is real.
At the end of the day its all down to how much money we are willing to cough up.
I guarantee they're just quoting the 24m euros bid that was on that German paper yesterday. It's a non story really.Says we failed with a £19m bid, it's the mirror though
We just have to hope Dortmund see sense and I think they will.I'm 90% sure we won't get him. Sorry guys but Dortmund don't need the money and have already sold Hummels and Gundogan, they will not sell him unless an inflated offer came in like £35 million.
Think this one is dead in the water, especially seeing Raiola's reaction. We will have to wait until next year.
EDIT: trouble is I don't think we can realistically get anyone better than him, we should have acted quicker.
This.
He is the best Bundesliga player of the last season, we need him and we have no reasons to let him go this summer.
But, if there is a serious offer from united, Watzke might think about.
But the offer has to be very high. United got money, they need him, they want to go back to a cl-spot, Micki got a contract, which all leaves us in the position to decide, we are stitting at the longer lever (you say that in english? if not whats a common phrase for it?)
The bid is rumoured to be 24m euros, which is £19m.I would say £25m is a fair offer for a guy on his last year, who do not want to sign a new contract. Think about it, you will be left with a player that doesn't want to play for you, and loose both him and £25m next year. With your quality scouting and abillity to sign players on a cheap I am sure you can take that £25m and find a good replacement pretty easily. Hell, you already got the quality replacement in Dembele which you signed for peanuts.
Then come calling with a more acceptable sum than 24 Mil. €.
The bid is rumoured to be 24m euros, which is £19m.
I think like a Schneiderlin this will die down for a few weeks. Then we will try again before we go on tour.Yes, but I am sure Woody's next attempt will be about £25m, I reckon £30m is as far as we will go for a player we can sign on a pre-contract in January, and Dortmund probably knows it.
Agreed. £25m is a very fair bid for a player with 1 year left on his contract. Dortmund may want £40m, but it's just downright not realistic. Especially considering it's not Gundogan's situation where he signed a new 1 year contract extension just to ensure Dortmund get a fee. Mkhitariyan if refused to be sold will likely leave for free.Yes, but I am sure Woody's next attempt will be about £25m, I reckon £30m is as far as we will go for a player we can sign on a pre-contract in January, and Dortmund probably knows it.
I dont think they will be a clear #2 next season. Depends on if they can keep hold of Auba and sign good replacements for Hummels and Gundogan and for Mkhi if he leaves as well. Wolfsburg and Leverkusen will give them a run for their money.People saying Dortmund don't need the money, but 25-30 million is still a lot for them. The inflation of the prices has come due to the PL clubs being filthy rich, it's not as proportionate around the world. And they will get the CL spot (& money) even without him & the other sales, since they are clearly the #2 club by some margin.

Last year of his contract like Gundogan, realistically how much do you expect to get for him? Surely not more than another £5m.
What does this actually accomplish for United? United needs a quality winger right now and Mkhitaryan is argueably the best realistic target on the market. Your competition will certainly not get weaker over the Summer. To be honest, I´m far more confident that we qualify for the CL without Mkhitaryan (or replacement) than United doing so without a creative space creator in offensive midfield.
Gündogan is out with a knee injury until Fall and I would be very surprised if he is anywhere near normal form until Christmas. City payed us 26 Mil. € + bonus pyments for a player we might have used half a season.

If the reports about his psyche is true then you dont want him being all depressed and in a shitty mood in the wardrobe. He will probably shit in several handbags as a protest.
We do it to every team before, they'll come back with a massive amount they want us to match and both teams eventually meet somewhere in the middle (unless the team is PSG who get whatever fee they want). The lowball offer is obviously to get the bidding started. This is how negotiations start.
If I want something which is worth $200 according to me, Ill first make a ridiculous offer like $50 which will be obviously rejected but will reduce the expectation and finally price will never end up exceeding $200. If we start with $200, they will reject that too expecting way more. No one accepts the first bid especially someone who doesn't need to sell
We did that with Torino last year for darmian.

We bid 25m euros for Mhiki.
What do you consider fair? As I wrote earlier, the far more constructive approach for Dortmund would be to press us up to 30m Euros or thereabout, and then find a replacement with time to spare in the transferwindow. I am sure that you can sign one of those shit hot players like Dahud or something with the Mhiki money and a bit from the Hummels transfer. You already got the RW covered with Dembele.
It certainly beats having Mhiki in a permanent menstrual mood around the dressingroom, and let him and 30m euros go for free.
