He would be a good addition to our squad. I was surprised that he is 27 years old, I thought he was younger. But at least he could give us 3 years in good level.

Mkhitaryan is not a winger but he can play there in a front of 3. He has a long shot and good link up play.

I wouldn't worry about the Watzke quote. He's been flexible about these kind of things in the past and should a good offer come in it would be easy for him to just say that circumstances have changed and that it would be good for the club.

so lets see how precious micki is to united. "micki wants to go there" ok. but how strong united wants him?

think the best player of the bundesliga is expensive. but nothing "the biggest club in the world" cant afford...we will see how important is a micki-tranfer for them. unitl now, he got a contract with us, thats the reality united has to face.

the first rumoured numbers are nothing our board would think about.

Nice of Dortmund to hire Levy to do negotiations with United via RedCafe.

Last season was his best season. Stats proved it, plus both him and Auba last season looked like they have gelled well with the rest of the team. The first two seasons, both looked pretty ordinary. Both improved over the years but last season everything clicked for them (well, almost - they almost win something, again). He might not be the definitive answer, but if we compare United's squad with Bayern's, United are severely lacking in quality, experienced players.

Plus, squad rotation is utmost important anyway, especially for players like Martial. Whenever he is injured, the team looked clueless and lacked penetration. I believe adding players like him would only improve the team and the squad as a whole.

So what's happened? Raiola has said he wants to leave and United is his preference?

Can't see Mkhitaryan as a squad player. I think he's one of those guys who is either the coaches favourite or won't work out at all.

If we go for Mkhitaryan I can't see any chance - little as it is now - of Mata staying. He would surely fill that 10 role Mourinho opts for, I'd expect us to still get some more pace on the right (Embolo/Rashford sharing that role wouldn't be a bad option).

:nervous:

Signing this guy should be our top priority. A quality player who won't cost more than 30 million. Also news coming out that he prefers to player here rather than at arsenal.

Welcome to the family Mino Raiola. Meet your elder brother Jorges mendez. He will show you your room.

Had a gander over at Arsenal Mania and it's a sorry, sorry sight.
They're your mate who is after a beauty and tells you shes only shagging another man to make him jealous.
That minx.

yes and it would be a joke.

we received a record fee for hummels for only 365days of contract left.
gündogan was already away since 2 years (and he is injured).
unfortunatelly (for you) we got enough money, and wont let go 3 players in one window.
woodward had to have this idea some month ago...our board was talking about a new contract since month, and gündogan and hummels are already gone, so its like it is.

with micki its more likely that we will finish on a cl-spot, and that will get us money.
without him its less probable.

for a move it has to be massivly more than we would earn from another year cl.

from another forum, a quote that says it quite well:
Man Utd have their backs to the wall. Several extremely poor seasons in succession, a squad which does not meet their own requirements/claims (?) , only EL, to a new coach certainly not mediocre participates. and it is the richest club in the world.
They can spend. Let them see where they otherwise get another player. 50m € + or in exchange for Martial. Otherwise I would not do anything.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I don't know what makes me angrier, he's absurd views or his complete disregard for capital letters.

To even suggest we would involve Martial in a deal for Mkhitaryan is ridiculous on so many levels all I can do is laugh

A whole squad of top tier players refused to play for Maureen last year so pipe down......

I think the circumstances were a bit different. If you think LVG has the same pulling power as Jose we'll just have to agree to disagree my friend :)

Am I the only one who thinks Mkhitaryan is a very sensitive player who needs a lot of comfort and something like a guarantee to be in the starting eleven to shine and perform? Don't get me wrong. I really like him. As a player and - at least as far as I know him via interviews - as a person. But I am not sure if United is the right place for him to be next season. (I hope I am wrong.)

Micky wont get a better financial offer so Its hardly Jose's pulling power at play here. Arsenal will be arguing over peanuts so that's them gone. Who else are after him?

Surely a WUM.

Do you mind telling us these top players that refused to play for him or are you just making up statements?

Are you suggesting that Chelsea side didn't have top tier players aka Fabregas and Hazard or that you watched them in Jose's final season and concluded they were indeed playing?

Maybe he was poor Coz Klopp didn't know how to use him? Am I wrong in saying he once criticised klopp s tactics?

Why do you think Micki wouldn't have come here if LVG was in charge? He's never worked with either of them before AFAIK

Because I don't think he's an LVG type player, as he is far too risky with his passing for LVG's liking.

On a side note, there's not many players in world football I'd swap Martial for. Trying to think of them now and so far I've only arrived at possibly:
Neymar
Verratti
Pogba
Bale
Muller

And I'd have to reconsider some of them to be honest.

Obviously Messi is tempting but would that be worth it in the long term?

Sorry to derail the thread I just love Tony so much and can't wait to watch him develop.

apologies I actually read you're first statement wrong. I thought you said top players refuse to sign for mourinho like they did van gaal. Yeah hazard and friends were on holiday.

Probably. I wasn't aware of the comment towards Klopp though. Gegenpressing is not the definitive answer. Plus, Tuchel did make them play a mixed of both possession and counter based games. Dortmund have the players for it, plus the emergence of that DM young player whose name escapes me at the moment.

I don't like the fact Martial's name is even mentioned anywhere. Ok here it was mentioned by Dortmund fan and from some of their forum or something. But in the other thread one guy mentioned he would swap Martial for Veratti.
I would swap him for Messi and would give it a long thought before swapping. That's about it.

I would only swap Martial for a top 10(or even 15) player in the world, that too after a long hard thought.

No. Nearly everyone has said it.
