Superb. Not his biggest fan, but he’s stepped up & shown leadership. He’s really suited to this formation.

My MOTM. Was absolutely outstanding. De Ligt not far behind. And I loved his reaction to that ridiculous pen decision, not scared of those fake hard men.
 
Type of game which suits him. When we play deep line he is very good. Problems come when we must dominate and play high line.
 
Great game from him. I think it’s time to acknowledge that he’s a Manchester United player. The way he’s fought his way back from all the adversity and humiliation and done very well he’s earned it. No more after a good game adding the “yeah but”. He’s one of ours and there’s only a handful post Fergie you could say that about but he’s one of them.
 
Clearly and by far our best CB when the ball is being crossed into the box and teams are able to get a bunch of shots at the goal. 11 clearances and 5 blocked shots today, way out beyond any of his teammates
 
Unlucky to concede the penalty. One mistake when he failed to get his header beyond the Arsenal player, leading to a big chance. Other than that, huge number of crosses and free-kicks cut out. Impressive reading of the game.
 
Has to be said, how he's dealt with things since the Greece incident and losing captaincy has been outstanding. He's made for 3 at the back, Amorim was a godsend for him in that regard and his aerial presence is among the best in the world.
 
Hope he is not inured , was very close to man of the match. He is playing very well under Amorim.
 
This type of game are indeed what he was born to excel in. He looks like a superhero in there at times, wins everything.
Defending like this is of course not part of Rubens vision for the team however.

He has unquestionable spirit. Made of sterner stuff than Rashford thats for sure.

I'd like to see more from him to reach a level of an £80 million defender that he is, but he has got his head down and got on with life these last two years and I applaud that.
 
Absolute rock, seems to be intercepting every pass into the area and heading out every cross in.

My man of the match for how big he performed today.
 
Great performance and it's goodd having him considering we're playing 3 at the back now. Will stay until 2026 but who knows, if he's at the level could be useful for another few years after that.
 
He's shown far more fight and personality in the last few months than in his first 5 years.
 
3 man defence suits him. Absolutely massive today. Still want to see how he'd do when we're not defending with our backs to the wall.
