The Rams find themselves unexpectedly top of the league entering the busy Christmas period. Evan Ferguson has been firing in the goals, Jonas Urbig (once of Sunderland) is the clean sheet leader, Pedri has been in fine form and Moore and Darvich have chipped in with goals too. Rolly Munganga is now a bench player for them, Estevao still rotates in and out, WZE has been in top form and their defence has been outstanding.
Bolton are nothing to sniff at either. 7th place and only 6 pts off second. Paez is performing as usual, Yildiz has got himself 6 goals so far and Dyonatas has played every game so far. They were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Chelsea so they got a harsh draw there.
Sheffield Utd sit just behind Bolton on GD. Pino is again one of the league's top players, whilst Pep Puigvert has bagged 7 goals in all comps. New signing Petanjek has an ankle injury keeping him out for 3 weeks but has played every other game. Wonderkid Felder is in the U21s but has played 2 league games. Sheff Utd have also reached the QF of the Carabao Cup, where they face Liverpool. In the Europa League, they currently top the league phase with 5 wins from 5.
Sunderland then just one point behind Sheff Utd. Kroupi tops the scoring charts and Sesko with 7, but they're not exactly lighting up the league. Some adjusting to the new tactics may be happening as Kobbie Mainoo is their best performer on just 7.19 so far. Wonderkid Pjero Vlatkovic who alto called shite has also played every league game so far, with 1 assist. Apart from Kroupi and Sesko they are really lacking in goals. Sunderland have also reached the QF of the Carabao Cup, playing Arsenal for a chance to reach the semis.
