Will be interesting to see how we could go to the Falklands, given that the new aircraft carriers are going to just be a base for American F35's for the next couple of years as we haven't completed the buying and training programme for UK pilots to be ok to fly them.
We also haven't got enough ships to maintain the defences around a carrier fleet at the moment either so that is a £9billion pound asset floating around the South Atlantic with no directly controlled air support, no clear Rules of engagement, inadequate destroyer protection and a dependence on fuel tankers to keep going (unlike American and French Nuclear carriers).
If we tried this I bet the Russians would happily encourage the Argentinians to loose of a few missiles. Hell even Al Qaeda or Isis would probably be able to take it out with a lucky attack. Just follow the fuel tankers and you'll find the carrier - simples!
It would be the biggest Military Debacle since the charge of the Light Brigade but with devastating consequences for the country.
