So two things, first frictionless is different from borderless, the Norway deal allows easy border checks because there is no divergence between both sides, in that sense the Norway deal is the example to follow but again the border still exists and border checks are still present. Secondly the Economist solution means that the UK ignores all their red lines, it means common legislation, jurisdiction, custom and trade areas which is exactly what the UK are trying to leave. It leads us to Barnier point before the quote you provided, there is no added value to Brexit.
