Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

You've a long way to go to beat @devilish for begging, he used to have us begging three times a day at least.

I am not particularly renowned for mincing words but jeez some of the things being thrown around at the moment is tough even for my standards. Is it true that France minister for foreign affairs had mentioned her cat Brexit because it meows loudly to be let out each morning, but then refuses to go outside when she opens the door?

It is supposed to be true.

If it was her decision, I have an idea about what would happen next week. I wonder how much her opinion is representative of the french government and other european ministers.

She said it was a joke and didn't have a cat

I have a similar thing on my facebook, but funnier, the cat just sits at the open door and looks at it.

The one big silver lining for you Brits is that this has highlighted just how bad your politicians are and made it crystal clear who the worst culprits are. We could all do with such a watershed moment in our own countries.

These idiots were idiots before Brexit and without it, they may have happily carried out their careers, blaming their inadequacies on Europe and immigrants and poor people until they shuffled off into well paid retirement. At least now you have an opportunity to properly purge the sewer, as painful as it's going to be in the short term. In a hundred years they might actually look back on Brexit as a turning of the tide.

Disruptive Capital, whose mission statement is to “exploit market uncertainty” to generate returns.

In dystopian movies, the evil corporations have forgettable or at worse suggestive names. Here they just spell out within their name that they're going to feck you.

Shinra Electric Power Company, Wallace Corp and Tyrell Corp on the forgettable side, Omnicorp is more suggestive. None of them are like Disruptive Capital (or Bain Capital).

But Remain would definitely win if there was one, right?

Sorry I missed a few, this one was on top of the twitter page and I assumed it was the only one.

I cannot see any remain/leave one from this poll at least.

TBH I think the previous thread title had it right - the confusion in parliament mirrors the confusion of the public.

Overwhelmingly I would imagine. Not only do we see regret from leavers who realise they were lied to the entire campaign and that still on pretty much deadline day the government have no fecking idea what they're doing, but now 1.4 million new young people are eligible to vote on their future since the last referendum in a country where if the youth actually voted, Labour would win by a landslide and if the youth bothered to vote last time, remain would have won. Given everything that's happened over the last two years, not difficult to imagine that more disenfranchised youth would vote.

Well Tony Blair's been banging the drum for a second referendum again on the telly today. Maybe Jeremy should contact him for a bit of advice?

If they don't extend and vote may deal, I really want to see which lie(s) they will tell when they will revoke A50.

There is no way UK goes No deal in 10 days

'Unfortunately as the house repeatedly voted down my amazing deal time and time again we weren't able to carry out the will of the British older generation. Please don't blame me for never changing the same shitty deal I kept bringing back, blame them for not accepting garbage. And don't blame my party for spearheading the biggest legal undertaking in our history without a plan to begin with, that's definitely a sensible thing to do, instead focus on Corbyn being friends with terrorists who will eat your children with a side of curvy EU bananas.'

Step 1: extend article 50
Step 2: fail to come up with a deal
Step 3: new referendum
Step 4: remain.

And then we can put this embarrassing fiasco behind us forever and pretend it never happened.

Common sense would point to the Remain vote winning, however as we've seen the Leave camp are incredibly vocal and supportive and will turn out in their droves to back Leave in the polls.

I don't know who will be the one to rally the people into voting Remain. The Tory's won't be doing that, and Corbyn isn't campaigning for Remain either. Not sure which of the more prominent figures will stand up, and more importantly get the required press coverage needed. All of Boris, JRM, Gove, etc., will be all over the TV and front pages - unless Labour changes their stance and throw their full weight behind the Remain camp I wouldn't be certain that Remain wins, or at least not by the margin it should do (in my opinion). People will again be complacent and think 'everyone else will vote Remain so why should I bother?', same as the initial vote, which we cannot afford. It must be drummed into everyone that every single vote matters, and it needs more than a few cross party MPs the public may not recognize to be the ones campaigning, and pointing out the lies and BS spread by the Leave camp.

So it sounds like she will ask for a short extension. Bad decision.

If MPs fail to agree her deal by June and we havent run the European elections we (and the EU) will be in all sorts of trouble.

She's such a weak cnut. Leadsom is pulling the strings now.

I'm not sure whether she's hiding and sending her cronies out or they're scurrying out to win favour for the leadership. Leadsom was on LBC and it certainly sounded like her vying for the leadership.

Agreed. May is finished, they just aren’t in a position for a leadership challenge or GE. Leadsom is being propped up by the ERG.

One of the most stupidest answers I've heard. Well done
And yet you manage to outdo me. Congratulations.

I mean here we are, 9 days from the ultimate brexit fiasco, and you post a EU politician outlining his vision of Europe and comment it "jesus!" as if it were somehow relevant or even a topic within the EU at the moment.

Do people actually like Verhofstadt? Something about him that just rubs me up the wrong way. Barnier and Tusk though, great guys.

My understanding is that he isn't really liked and the fact that he is a federalist doesn't help.

I don't like or dislike him much, but I expect him to come up with an opinion as to how to make the EU more effective / more beneficial for it's members. He's arguing his case as to how he thinks that is done, there will be others who disagree. He won't be able to change anything without going the well trodden out path of change within the EU though... convincing other's that it's the best path (and for these plans he'd have to convince all 27 future member states governments), so whether you like him, his ideas, or not, there's no need for jesus to get involved.
