I remember Sunderland fans said he was the best player they'd ever seen play for them, then he wasn't given a chance here. ‍♂️

Love him.

Great performance today in a tough game and has been on an excellent run of form under Amorim. Really happy to see it.

Magic! Please continue playing him as forward.

Remember when many people made different excuses why Ten Hag didn't play him?

And you could always understand it if we actually had some decent player ahead of him, but it was mostly out of form Anthony, or even the likes of Garnacho/Rashford out of form and position, and it was always an obvious mistake, even if he would play bad it woudn't be a mistake forcing him because there imwas nothing to lose there.

So happy for him, because the talent was always there. Now he's working hard, he's directly involved in winning the ball high up pitch and making great runs too. let's hope he doesnt rot with fame and complecancy like Rashford.

Yeah, he’s good. Now he’s made the position his own, big things ahead.

Neville called him "The bright spark" quite early in the 2nd half. First half he was making runs too early and caught offside 2 or 3 times. 2nd half he got on the ball and had a few runs at the defence, even if it didnt work out he was positive. He wanted to try and make something happen and slightly more luck with the bounce of the ball and it might have worked out. Then he's able to pounce on the bad pass from Nunes using his speed and is cool enough to win the penalty. To be honest the City defending on his goal is pretty bad as he initially makes a run, sees the ball isnt coming and then Lisandro plays a ball over the top and he tries to chase it. The ball is perfect for him to run onto and in a similar situation to how he won the penalty this time he shoots and finds the net. Fantastic

Not his best performance by any means, but he was pretty much our only threat and he took his chances in the 2nd half that got us all 3 points. Fantastic contribution
Yeah perfectly summarised. Still rough round the edges, few poor runs that put him offside and sometimes he's still wasteful in good spaces. But he's the only one who looks like he can make something happen out of nowhere, for example that one run in the second half he just skipped their left back on the wing in the middle of the pitch ran till our box and put in a brilliant cross to Dalot.

This is the Diallo derby

So fecking good.

Just don't turn into another Januzaj or Garnacho, please!

That was the genius ETH"s 3D chess approach. Amad will thank Mowbray and now ETH for this improvement.

Humiliation and anger tends to motivate a player. EtH knew this
He was definitely angry! Remember when he came on in EtH's last game as a last resort sub? He was completely done. I think he would've left in January had we not sacked ten Hag.

What a player!

This is what you get with exciting aggressive players who can make things happen. This is what we're really lacking in the team. All top clubs have those kind of players but we only have him, and he's still young so we can't expect him to do this week in week out. But we need more players like him.

We got the Pogba game and now we have the Amad game.

His dribbling and touch in tight spaces is so good. I still feel he has a few areas where he can really improve and that’s what makes things exciting for us.

Ten Hag should never get a coaching job again.

Thank heavens that wing back bollocks is over anyway. He should be wearing Rashford’s short number next season.

I remember years ago on here when I said he was not leas talented than Foden I was ridiculed. Boy has become a man now.

Give him the keys to the city! Fully deserved the winner for his work rate and forward play. Brilliant.

Hands up…I didn’t think he’d done enough to warrant all the praise he was getting under Ten Hag. I thought he had the potential to be a good squad player for a top team, didn’t see these individual moments of brilliance coming.

16 isn't a bad number tbf

EtH playing Forson and Antony ahead of this guy will feel like a fever dream in short time.
A fact you will have to check to be sure.

He’s been almost solely responsible for about 80% of our goals this season, and we spent virtually a whole year just not playing him.

The moment I saw him actually play, not starting him made no sense. To some extent Amad could have been a Tadic alternative for ETH but he seemingly didn't see it.

Our whole attack is on his shoulders at the moment and it doesn't seem to phase him at all! He's brilliant

And there were some of our fans who would have gladly sold him because EtH was that bad a judge of character.

One of those with whom there is little skepticism or fear of a purple patch. With his skills and workrate you just know that he is going to be successful.

I’ll die on the hill that we unnecessarily delayed his development until now.

It’s worked out good in the end but we could’ve seriously ruined a phenom prodigy with how things were going up until now

Our scouts + Murtough did a good job in finding him.

Then our pighead managers tried to ruin him, by first spending 75m (Sancho) and 80m (Antony) to try and immediately block him out and then not play him even when he was quite obviously the best option around. We're lucky we were broke and had other immediate needs this summer or else we would've spunked more money on a RW to push him further down the pack.

Easily our best forward.

His performances will also imrprove when we get an actual left winger at a similar level who can create space for him, I.E not Rashford or linGarnacho.

Where would we be without him this season?

Said ages ago, you have to play and trust him even though he's small, he has so much skill and fight, just a fearless player that shown what he's about when coming on in the FA Cup game against Liverpool, from the edge our area to the goal he smashed them a new one.

Is that 4 or 5 goal contributions from winning the ball up the pitch alone. Not just a great presser, seems a great tackler for an attacker.
