Well the fact that he was showing some fight and effort was a good start.Lets be honest anyone coming on when the team is 3-0 down doesn't need to do much to impress.

Bit of a daft thing to say. Says a lot about his mentality that he came onto the pitch, showed himself and didn't cower like some of our players do when the going gets tough.Lets be honest anyone coming on when the team is 3-0 down doesn't need to do much to impress.
He just isnt good enough for this level

You’re obviously on the wind up.
He just isnt good enough for this level
Exactly, his top level might not be that high currently but he plays the game in the right way.Not just that he played well, but it is also about ‘how’ he played. The manner in which he plays the game, the things that he is good at are the things that we are desperately needing all over the pitch. Comfort on the ball, can take it on the half turn, good body movements, close control. Everyone else is playing 1990s PL football, big passing, big running etc. Him and Mainoo are the only ones that can play a small game, and we need to decide whether this is what we want to do as a team and put more players like this in it.
What do you say in the Rashford thread?Im not ive watched him and he isnt good enough, he might get there but he isnt there yet
Mainoo should play as third midfielder in Bruno's position if we want any sort of midfield to work with Ugarte and someone else. Amad-Mainoo-Garnacho behind a CF for now but we will need to add number and quality to the attack. He needs to play if want any semblance of control and intelligence in attack. Was no good reason to drop him today either.
I would also be interesting to seem play Bruno's position , but the fecker never gets injured or rested.
Yeah that could work too. But ETH is way too short sighted and limited to make bold changes.Mainoo should play as third midfielder in Bruno's position if we want any sort of midfield to work with Ugarte and someone else. Amad-Mainoo-Garnacho behind a CF for now but we will need to add number and quality to the attack.
I get why he didn't start today, but after watching Garnachoa and Rashfords performance, he should be disappointed he didn't.
And who plays next to Ugarte in midfield? We don’t have the players to do this.Mainoo should play as third midfielder in Bruno's position if we want any sort of midfield to work with Ugarte and someone else. Amad-Mainoo-Garnacho behind a CF for now but we will need to add number and quality to the attack.

It's so true. And we're seeing the worst version of him right now, given the manager won't give him games to develop and the rest of the team plays hot potato football. And despite that he still looks like our brightest player. In a technically solid team who can keep the ball and a manager who knows what he's doing, he'd be fantastic.Exactly, his top level might not be that high currently but he plays the game in the right way.
Agree. Amad and Mainoo are on a different level in terms of football iq and technique. They would be shining in team like City. It's so true. We were clearly trying to play on the transition though, which makes a lot more sense with those two. I agree though, he has to say no to one at this point. He should've started. Ten Hag needs to grow a pair and choose between Rashford and Garnacho. When you've got 3 wide players to choose from, and two of them are right footed, the left footed player who has shown he has the ability shouldn't be the one left out.
This was the issue that should have been resolved as priority in the window but midfield was neglected and we rather extended Bruno's contract. Mainoo doesnt have engine to play there right now. He would be much better with receiving ball higher up the filed where his technique, dribbling ability and composure will come into play. And who plays next to Ugarte in midfield? We had lots of issues to fix in the window. And quite clearly we were looking at midfield and wanted to sell Casemiro. You can’t fix all the problems in a single windowThis was the issue that should have been resolved as priority in the window but midfield was neglected and we rather extended Bruno's contract.
