I think I actually like this guy a little. Haven't been able to say that about one of our players for a long time.

A year ago, ETH was pushing Forson in the team. Amad wasn't getting a sniff.

And we gave the baldie 3 seasons.

I have to admit I got it wrong with this lad.

Always thought he looked talented, but thought he was gonna be a bit like Mata for us, just too slow and slight to effect the game consistently enough for us.

How wrong I was. Brave, technical and direct on the ball.

And the nearest thing we have had to Tevez off the ball in the forward line since he buggered off to city.

I can't fathom Ten Hag seeing all the others and thinking Amad wasn't good enough to start. He's been world class over the past couple of months. And the only one with some balls on our team. What character this lad has
I never want to hear “well you think you know more than X manager who watches every day?” Because my answer will be feck yes I do

Everything from his background and journey up until now, to his play, tenacity and his attitude and demeanor on and off the pitch scream mentality monster.

You need those in the team if you want to build a winner.

We genuinely might be in a relegation scrap if he wasn't in the side

He’s a player that every manager wants. Hard working, quick, play high intensity, pressing non-stop, can dribble, can pass, can score, intelligence, even for a small player he’s actually not bad aerially, technically good, and off the pitch he has no controversy lifestyle and focus on football only.

The decision to invest 85m on Antony was the most stupid decision ever. It made zero sense for short term and long term plan.

We need Amad as RWB, we need 2 Amad as no 10, and we need right footed Amad to play LWB. Dream player for every manager.

In his previous league match against Liverpool, he claimed the match ball, even though he hadn't scored a hat trick. Then, in the very next league game, he netted a hat trick. Now that's what you call the power of manifestation!

Starboy!

Starboy!

And tried to kick it into the crowd bless him

Such a deserved hattrick. That kind of technical ability, speed and effort, only special players have that. With better decision making and work on his weak foot, he can be genuinely world class. I hope we're in for a long beautiful journey with him.

Let's keep him in the attacking position so he can keep attacking the full back.

It's basically like the Saka and Pepe situation all over again.

He's so nimble that when he picks up the ball, defenders stand off him from the halfway line all the way to the edge of their penalty area. Even if it ends with him passing backwards, he progresses us so far up field.

The first goal is absolutely brilliant by the way. The little shift with his left foot when the ball bounces back to him in that position is so good! It just shows how natural a footballer he is.

He clearly wasn’t ready though, went on loan to Rangers didn’t do much, was only when be went to Sunderland he started to show glimpses of his ability

He was ready IMO and didn't get enough chances. The loan to Rangers was Ill advised considering their European and league campaigns. The conditions were not conducive. He still scored goals there like every other club he's featured for.

His first goal for United was a header against Milan in the EL for United and looked great overall. He wasn't allowed to build on that but Daniel James was allowed to stink up the place as a non producing starter on the right

In the end, the Sunderland loan did him a world of good, but I'm convinced he'd have brought the goods at OT anyway

His determination to keep going is what’s also really impressive. He was one of our better players before the goals but somethings just weren’t coming off at all. Then he goes and scores three goals.

Reporter: Is this the best week of your life?
Amad: ....sure, one of the best weeks.
BBC front page: "The best week of my life!"

Sir Matt Busby player of the year award is sewn up isn't it? We would be nowhere without Amad this season.

Love that he's getting rewards for his great pressing too, he's sneaky good at it because he seems to catch a fair few players off guard.

Delighted for the lad ( and you all )
I joined the forum to emphasize what a gem he was-as many on here ( and Man Utd on our forum ) were asking “ is he actually any good ?”
I thought I needed to answer that then-( said he’s one of the very best I had seen in 60 plus years at Sunderland )
Knew he would produce for you with a run of games and importantly support from a manager ( he had that with us too )
I took a little bit of flak early on his return to you (for my positivity )but when he’s been given a run of games he’s proven his worth .Im delighted for him as he’s so humble.
Wish we had another Amad to loan but like gold dust.I even thought initially we may get him back …ha ha
Good look to Amad and United thanks for the memories -a genius and still very young

I fecking love him. There's been a few wonderboys since Fergie left; Januzaj, Rashford, Greenwood, Garancho, Mainoo but he feels the most capable of really being top level to me.

His close control is great and he looks effortless in his dribbling and full backs really fear it, they back off. His decision making is solid and will get better. He works extremely hard, I think he has about 4 goals and assists just by doing what he did for his third tonight, anticipating a poor touch, and he is doing that in the 94th minute when we're winning, a wonderful attitude.

Thought he'd turn to shit after signing his contract as is the way with most United lads. But no, he's still great and by far our best player in attack. Without him we'd be in serious trouble

I agree with you mate. The signing came from Jim Lawlor, not Solskjaer. He didn’t play him, and chose to use James instead. Milan was proof he was good enough even at that age.

Saka is a huge level above where Amad is right now, that's not even a debate.

That's not to say Amad won't get to a similar level, but he's no where near yet.

When did Saka score a hattrick for Arsenal in the league?
