Should have scored his first half chance.

The rest were okay attempts and he was clearly our only threat. 3 attempts on target out of 4 and this season he averages our most attempts on target per game with 1.5 per game and 2nd place being equal Bruno and Rashford with only 0.8 per game, almost half of Garnacho's.

Not having a good season is he. What I will say though is that he is always dangerous. I would be more worried if he wasn’t getting into dangerous positions and getting:creating chances.

All the player's confidence must be so low, especially if you are an attacker in this system. Hopefully gets a goal soon to get his confidence up.

I'd certainly be open to selling for 60+. Our financial situation is dire and we need funds. Garnacho is hardly a dead-on certainty to become the player we all hoped he'd become, so he really shouldn't be untouchable.

Needs to sort out his finishing and decision making. He is young but not inexperienced. There is potential but he needs to step up.

I've read on the caf that "only idiots want him sold". Well, performances like that make me think there's good arguments on both sides. He's ridiculously inconsistent which is natural for a young player but that chance he missed in the first half happens FAR too much. Overall play wasn't much better.

It's our own fault for trusting him as an automatic starter for two seasons now but we need money for a rebuild and there's a gamble to keeping and developing him or selling to fund part of that rebuild.

He's just not a natural goal scorer. He's clearly got talent and I'm sure he'll develop into a decent player but he'll never be a top draw player because of this huge weakness.

In an ideal world you'd have him as an impact player right now. But we have no options so he has to start. Same scenario with Hojlund.

He gets himself in good positions and is at least positive going forward, even if he lacks quality sometimes. Desperately needs to improve his finishing, though. That one today could easily have made the loss a draw/ win.

It's possible he improves his decision making and becomes a useful player for a decent side. Especially if they sit back and play on the counter.

I don't think he'll ever have either the technique or composure to be more than that.

Jesus Christ what a miss.

I'd forgive those ones where you have to take it first time and you get underneath it and sky it. A lot of players do that. But to take a good first touch, steady yourself and still put it into row Z?! Inexplicable.

Not a great game by Garnacho , but still our most dangerous player . Isn’t easy to play with Casemiro and Bruno behind you and Hojlund ahead of you .

What talent exactly?

It's promising that he gets these opportunities though, even if he increased his success rate by half he'd be on the right track

His attempts at finishing is reaching Timo Werner levels. That chance he ballooned was a horrible miss, by any standards, let alone someone who's talked about as some big-superstar-in-the-making.

“Alejandro Garnacho has the worst big chance conversion rate of players to have at least 10 big chances in the Premier League this season (2/14 - 14.3%).”

Criminal the way he ignored Dorgu’s overlapping runs all game.

I mean he's still a kid and yet got 38 goal contributions to his name at United. He's having a bad season and wilting under the pressure but we expect far too much from the lad.

We should have senior players taking the responsibility but we have nobody. So we have to rely on a 20 year old in the worst period this club has faced in 40 years. Again, I blame the owners and ETH for not bringing in senior players in our forward line. It's just piss poor squad building which has been the consistent theme for 15 years or so.

Still looks like he’s better when he comes on as a sub. Finishing and decision making were awful today, maybe that gets better, maybe it doesn’t. You can definitely see the dilemma if someone made a big bid for him in the summer.

Can’t pass, won’t pass.

It’s the false confidence in his Ronaldo mindset he seems to have - of wanting everything to be on him. It’s great if you’re good enough, it cripples a team when you’re not.

Let's be very clear here, his and rashford's wastefulness and selfishness at the start of the season got ten hag sacked. He was given a slap on the wrist which sorted his head out for a while but both these things have snuck back in this game. This has to PERMENANTLY change. It is criminal to waste that many big chances. There are not even semi-chances, he is regularly missing one on ones and open nets. worse still, to constantly cut in into traffic and not use your overlap, it's just simply unacceptable.

He'll be lucky to be that good. He has none of the talent Rashford had, absolutely none of it. Inferior in all aspects.
He has an excellent first touch, particularly in taking it mid-flight. Rashford’s wasn’t that great. But yeah other than that he hasn’t got much to shout about.

Totally agree.
I would have no bones about him being sold in the summer.

Dim player. Someone needs to tell him that respecting his overlap option, makes the opposition respect it too.

Nor shoot. He is a bit average our Garna

Those comments were coming thick and fast after he came on as a sub against a tired Leicester defence, who are awful, and even that was a very inconsistent performance littered with the usual issues - head down on the ball, selfish dribbling, and wild finishing.

He lacks raw pace and acceleration, and doesn't have the intelligence or awareness in his game to make up for it. He's an impact sub at best, if we received a decent offer for him it we should jump at the opportunity to offload him and reinvest the money.
