His finishing is bad and he's too blinkered when near goal, but he's genuinely the only player we have that can generate a chance by himself or get on the end of a pass. It's a big concern that no other forward has that instinct to find the ball.

I don't blame him for the loss, but rather the more senior players that were awful.
 
Pretty shite today, that chance in the first half was unforgivable, terrible technique/shot selection. The other chances were understandable but that would have changed the game.
 
Are Napoli still interested? he has no footballing intelligence at all and wants to just run at players.

There are far more experienced and decorated players who were far worse. I'll never blame a player for getting forward and trying to get on the end of chances l, which is what he did.
 
Attacking players have to be better at finishing than he was today. It's really as simple as that. His misses cost us the game.
 
Such a selfish player. So many times he had the chance to put in Dorgu who had made nice overlapping runs but he kept cutting in and taking a shot. The one time he was in a perfect position to shoot, he smashed it high and wide..
 
Honestly at this point I'd sell him.
Was a big fan before but this guy is just so full of himself its unreal. 0 passes to the overlapping left wing back busting his gut. Losing the ball over and over and over again.

Every time he needs a wake up call he gets benched for 3 games and plays well when coming back, only to go back to old selfish Garnacho later on.
 
Without him, we wouldn't have mustered a shot on target from open play today. His finishing is still raw (like most 20 year olds) but at least he gets himself in the positions to have a shot, which is more than I can say for any of our other forwards.
 
Terrible in front of goal. Almost every game he’s clean through and misses. At least once.

He has to be doing far better on that chance in the first half. We need goals desperately and he is part of that problem

Garnacho thought process today
Overloads on? Coach wants to play wingbacks? We have two strikers on the pitch and 3 players in the box?

Better fecking run inside into 4 players and try to shoot from absolutely fecking nowhere instead of picking the player who has overloaded the left who can get a cross in the box.

He is our most dangerous player by far but his finishing is abysmal for attacking player.
 
Our best player on the day. The biggest threat and the only one with Zirkzee who looked like he could be part of a functional team.

Yes, he misses lots and that's disappointing but he's as clinical as anyone else in our team i.e. not a lot but at least has general drive and some spark

His finishing was pretty decent until recently. He's just low on confidence.
 
Disgraceful performance. Didn't look at Dorgu once on the overlap and proceeded to drive inside into 3 defenders every time. So much for his perceived "change in mentality." Don't even want to talk about that finish. Not a single other player in the Prem misses it as badly as that. He has the worst finishing of any good prospect I've ever seen, no ballstriking ability or composure. 0 confidence he'll even put it on target when he goes through on goal. Just a shite shite player
 
selfish and stupid, but gets in more shooting chances than everyone else. you win some, you lose some.
 
I've never known a player make the wrong decision as consistently as Garnacho.

He's good at getting into goalscoring chances but that seems to be all he's interested in. Unfortunately there's more to playing football.

Especially if you're not taking those chances.
 
For some reason they forget to tell him that Dorgu was playing as LWB and he can pass the ball to him, maybe sometimes.
 
His dribbling is somehow worse than his finishing. But he’s young so must mean he automatically has world class potential.
