Hes good when he drops and comes off deep. What really helped today was seeing Fellaini and Pogba and Rooney get into the box (and not get in his way or in the same position).

Silly booking but it was really silly at 3-0 that we didnt sub him (nor Pogba).

Fantastic today. That's the Zlatan I want to see. Much better in a 4141, where he can drop between centre mids, as opposed to bumping in to a number 10 when we play 4231.

Yep, been saying this even before we signed him

Zlatan on the yellow card..

"I thought we play in England, no? We play rough in England, that's what I heard. Every time I play rough I get a yellow card. I don't know why he(ref) gave me a yellow card, maybe I was too tired to hear what he said"

They said Zlatan couldn't handle the physicality of the Premier League.* The Premier League can't handle the physicality of Zlatan!

*I'm not sure if anyone actually said this

Not a Zlatan fan but he was brilliant today. Bullying his marker, linking moves, finishing chances (ok their keeper wasn't too clever on the first of Zlatan's goals).

Things would be looking a lot better if he could finish chances as well as his long range efforts! Good job from him today, did just what I wanted from him.

The Swansea player looks like he's shitting himself at the sight of Zlatan.

I really want to see him and Rashford up front together. I think he'd love his and pace and movement alongside him.

Very good. Finally scored.

Shame he's out vs Arsenal when it looks like his scoring touch might be back.

Ah, that receive and that pass. The reveice, Berba had one way better, but that pass to Mata...

I think he was excellent in open play against Burnley, where Mata was a #10. In reality it doesn't make that much of a difference I think, as long as the idea of play is the same. Pass to Ibra for a lay-off to one of the midfielders.

Just look at the 3-0 goal today, where Rooney basically started from a #10 position when Ibra played it to him.

The problem arise if we have 2 or more players wanting to do the job of receiving the pass, while no one is moving for the second. Thats how it looked like against Fenerbahce

Zlatan is back! The only downside is the yellow card he picked up.

Did well again.

I am happy for him to drop deep but once we manage to get the ball he needs to get back up top quicker. When he's standing in midfield we have no outball and are forced to go wide.

That's true.

Must be the only one who is sort of delighted that he won't be playing against Arsenal.

Jose tends to play on the counter against Wenger. That game is made for pace up front.

I don't understand how you can be delighted, as Zlatan may be finally hitting his stride. But you are completely right, I don't think he is suited to a counter-attacking game at all. So it might be a blessing in disguise, although that's yet to be seen.

He did very well yesterday, but after weeks of missing chances and failing the team I expect more from him. He's let us down vs Chelsea (as did many others, especially at the back), vs Liverpool and vs Fenerbache. His next big test, I hope he delivers, which will be vs Spurs. That being said, no one of our other strikers has such a good geberal play with holding and linking up, it is very useful.

Brand new to the league, 7 goals in 12 appearances (including CS).

He's been improving week on week as has Pogba which isn't so strange, it takes time to adapt to a new side & his finishing aside, his play has been on another level these past few games.

6 in 11 in the league isnt bad when you just look at that, it's poor when you count all the big chances he has missed and his poor conversion rate. He has scored one goal vs a top 5 side (also missed a couple of chances vs City despite his goal), which he will play against 4. He was poor vs Feyenoord and before yesterday he scored 1 in 11 matches (Zorya), I expect much more of United's no 9 who gets to play 90-min almost every single match. His play has been good, I want to see him put a big performance vs the Spurs!

At first I was the it dawned on me he will go with Rooney rather than Ashford or Martial. So it's the same problem.

Nah his play was poor just four days ago against Fenerbace.

That's the only problem with his overall game, it's been a bit inconsistent. Veering from very good to very bad. Hopefully with more time it'll stabilise a bit.
